Hi All,
I wanted to know if there was a way to enter the Download Mode (EDL) of mobile phone under three conditions that the bootloader is locked, and developers setting is also not enabled and the device is stuck in bootloop?
I've tried couple of tricks but were not successful. The person whose information gets me a positive result will be entitled to a free cup of coffee. Thanks
@Starksm

What should I do next after doing that?
My motive is to be able to flash software on my locked phone. After I clear cache partitions, what should I do?

you don't mention what device it is
for a Lenovo tablet you get to EDL with volume up + Volume down + power
for a xaiomi device their these > https://www.smartphones.how/repair/edl-mode
Press the Shift key and Right click and then select Open command window here to display the command prompt screen.
Type adb reboot edl and press Enter. Automatically the phone screen will dim as dead, it's a sign of your phone has gone into EDL Mode.
Or
2. Take Across From Fastboot
Keep using the Minimum ADB and Fastboot tool but compared the first way we have to go into Fasboot Mode first and then to EDL Mode.
Turn off your phone.
Go to Fastboot by pressing Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until Xiaomi 'rabbit' image appears.
Connect the phone to the computer.
Open the Minimal ABD and Fastboot command prompt, the same way as for point 7 on the first method.
Type fasboot oem edl and automatically your phone will go to EDL Mode. If the command does not work, try fastboot reboot-edl or fastboot reboot edl.
3. Combination Buttons
Turn off your phone.
Now plug one end of the USB Cable into the PC port and the other end does not connect to the phone.
Press the Volume Up and Power buttons and immediately connect the other end of USB Cable to the phone.
Automatically the phone will go to EDL Mode with LED lights will light up blinking.

Wondering if there is a stock recovery mode for the P769. I know there's a recovery partition but I'm not sure if you can get an HBoot menu. I held down Power and Volume Down from a powered off state, but it simply displayed the LG logo, vibrated, and then powered off. I've also read that there is a button combination to do a Hard Reset. Anyways, I'm wondering if doing this
Code:
adb reboot recovery
would get an HBoot menu, simply turn off, or do a hard reset. Also, if that command gets to HBoot then what button combination can you do to get to it?

I think he means the stock recovery that comes with the phone, as for the button combination, I dunno. holding the down button while powering on the phone always sent me into safe mode.
I can get into recovery mode by holding Vol Up + Home + Power
The screen say that this mode is use in LG service center to backup data. When phone connect to computer it show 2 removable drive but cannot access it. No use for me.
If you want to reboot your phone just hold power button for 10 seconds it'll shutdown. Then you can power on again.
Edit: Shutdown by holding power button 10 seconds not 10 minutes.

I wonder what we can do at this special menu.....
saturnianalien: The L9 devices do not have the standard recovery menu like the HTC devices do(This is the recovery menu that looks like CWM).

So what does the recovery partition in the L9 do? If I rebooted into recovery with adb, where would that get me?

For recovery press VOL+ and POWER button :good:
It's not VOL-
More simple
-choose update app
-three point in right corner
-reboot (recovery)
just press power, select reboot..while its rebooting(white circle progressing) press vol UP (vol+) until you see the MI logo...and wallah, you will be in recovery mode.....
...
Thanks a lot!
Power + Vol up. It's really work for me.

Wrong again!
You posted the same erroneous information on the 27th
Am I reviving a dead thread? Probably.
However, I just thought it would be worth saying that, in my case, pressing POWER + VOL UP (power first, followed by volume up) took me to the recently installed TWRP
I'm trying to ressuscitate my redmi note2 "prime" (whatever that means!...) and i begin to assume that one of the upgrades this "version" got is the recovery 2.01 which either with VOL+ ends in a menu were chinese variants and english are presented to choose and, after that choice shows 4 alternatives:
Reboot (into the old perverse, crippled system!) or i8nstal the update.zip and then produces a banner saying the file is CORRUPTED, so: BACK and then: Reboot or Power OFF and that's it!
Its not a question of volume up or down. It is a sarcastic form to deviate candidates to fly away
to freedom at last: to Cianogenmod! In my case: it is a way to convey the underlying message:
you bricked your rednote2? Fine! Live and learn -- now spare some money and buy another...
But if i am not able to ressuscitate it, instead of buy i'll bye, bye. Said.

Hey everyone , I ran into some trouble with my device and I thought this is the only place I could find a solution,
I was trying to root my samsung tab a (2019) (SM-T515) , but something went wrong after flashing twrp ( specially made for tab a ) and ever since my phone is stuck on the main "Samsung galaxy tab A secured by knox" screen with a yellow triangle symbol below it , it isn't being detected by my PC anymore either. This is what I did in steps:
1)Unlock OEM
2)Go in download mode and flash twrp , it said "pass" and I had auto-reboot off , so I rebooted and got stuck here.
I have tried the power button , it doesn't do anything , also the volume up + power key (recovery mode) doesn't do anything either.
Also I tried the volume down + power button , it restarts the phone and puts it back to the same screen after this message ( see attached imgs ).

Would a USB Jig work in this case?
Hold Power + Vol Down for 7 seconds, then immediate switch to Power + Vol Up to enter TWRP. If that doesn't work, attached USB cable, hold Power + Vol Down for 7 seconds, then switch to Vol Up + Vol Down to enter Download Mode. From there you can flash a known-good OEM build with Odin.

It's possible. When I first started developing for this tablet, I gave up and was ready to let the damn battery drain to reset the device. After about a week, I tried again and finally got the timing right. You need to hold for just a little over 7 seconds, enough so that the reset begins and the screen goes blank. When that happens, immediately switch to the Vol Up & Vol Down combo. (Also, don't forget that you have to have the USB cable connected. It won't work without that.)

Heres what I do ,
1. Attach USB
2.Reset it (vol. down + power)
3.This screen opens
4.I immediately hold Vol. Down + Vol. Up
5.After like 2 seconds, this screen shows up, demanding me to press the power button
6.I ignore it and keep holding vol. down + vol. up, after a while , it goes away automatically , and goes back to this screen
And stays there
Ok , I do not know what I did , but somehow its in download mode now. well thanks for the help @Magendanz , what now , I flashed the original firmware , the tablet started, do I try to root it again?
Is your TWRP version ok for T515?
Also, I was asked to factory wipe the device cause the data was somehow corrupted , idk why was that cause , maybe the twrp version isn't stable? I don't know if I should try again or not.

Well, I don't have a T515, and so I really can't say for sure. I build the custom kernel from the latest SM-T515 kernel source and follow the same build process as I use for the T510, but I'm relying on others to test it. I can only say for sure that the SM-T510 builds work.

If you didn't install Multidisabler, then the fstab will require encryption. If you wiped it in TWRP, rebooting to system will insist the user partition be reformatted with encryption before it will proceed unless dm-verity is disabled.

Currently I have 2 issues. Number 1 is that I cannot find stock firmware for my phone on Frija. No matter what CSC code I enter it is unable to find it. However, this is not a major problem at the moment as I plan to use this random firmware if things go wrong as it resembles my firmware.
~Main Issue~
My main issue is that even though I have enabled OEM unlock and USB debugging in developer settings I am unable to unlock my bootloader.
I am currently using this method:
Code:
1-Turn off the device.
2-press Volume Down + Volume UP + Connect the USB cable.
3-You will see a warning and under it three options (Volume up: Continue / Volume up long press: Device unlock mode / Volume down: Cancel restart phone.
4-Will choose Volume up long press: Device unlock mode.
5-Unlock bootloader page will appear, Under it are two options (Volume up: Yes / Volume down: No).
6-Press the volume up key.
The device will reboot and a message will appear telling you that the boot loader has been unlocked, Then press the power switch to continue.
7-Then press the power switch to continue.
8-The bootloader is unlocked, Done.
At step 5 the screen either only displays on the lower eighth of the device and shuts down or it shows the "bootloader page" but will not accept a volume up input press and powers down. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?
Update: I attemped to do a factory reset on the phone but the phone won't even boot into recovery mode! Holding PWR+VOLUP on boot does nothing!
what goes wrong?

finally got mine unlocked
first i did a factory reset from the settings not the recovery
i went through the setup without signing in,
activated developer settings , usb debugging . Make sure oem boot loader is selected
.. turned off the phone and pressed up and down as i plugged the usb into the phone
Then long pressed up until the menu changed press up again and it unlocked.
it will factory set again . go through the setup without signing in
activated developer settings , usb debugging .
now sure oem boot loader should be grayed out.
now if your intalling magisk follow the instructions
I was able to flash magisk and it went great for about 10 minutes. my bootloader relocked
if it happens to you just odin the full stock firmware and do the process again

Now, since I work in Frontend Web Development | Design & part-time Penetration Testing, she assumes I will know.
I have never seen this before. I have UTFSE and to no avail. I also am working hard on deploying this React.js web app, and I cannot figure out what the heck this is.
I did restart the phone in safe mode, then restarted back to normal. Everything is fine, failing to understand what this is and what happened.
I was hoping smarter people with Android would know this better than I did.
Samsung Galaxy S20

Bought: About 5 months ago, completely unlocked from Samsung, same with my S21 Ultra 5G 256GB.
Developer Options Enabled, only for USB Debugging, which I turned off because we never sideload apk's onto her phone.
When she put on her weird and overly complicated case, did she possibly press some button combinations that caused this odd bootloader sequence? Or what the heck is it? Never seen it, and it only says information about the bootloader. I am failing to understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone.

There are basically four modes to android phones
System - normal everyday operation
Safe mode - normal everyday operation - Doesn't load 3rd party apps ie: apps from playstore etc. Usually pressing vol down key while phone is starting.
Recovery Mode - for clearing system cache, format etc. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when starting the phone.
Download ( Odin ) Mode - Used for flashing Samsung firmware through PC app called Odin. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when restarting the phone or using recovery mode.
From your screen shot you have entered into to 'download mode'. Press and hold the keys on the display to reboot back into system ( volume down + power buttons ) or recovery, safe or download mode again.
How to Boot Your Galaxy S20 into Recovery Mode or Download Mode
Recovery mode and download mode are useful for modding and they can come in handy in a pinch. Booting into recovery mode to do a factory reset or wipe cache fan save your Galaxy S20 from a soft brick, and entering download mode lets you install firmware with utilities like Odin and Smart Switch.
