(Galaxy S20) Downloading, Do Not Turn Off Phone? What is this!? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Attached is an image I took of my wife's phone after putting her case back on.
Now, since I work in Frontend Web Development | Design & part-time Penetration Testing, she assumes I will know.
I have never seen this before. I have UTFSE and to no avail. I also am working hard on deploying this React.js web app, and I cannot figure out what the heck this is.
I did restart the phone in safe mode, then restarted back to normal. Everything is fine, failing to understand what this is and what happened.
I was hoping smarter people with Android would know this better than I did.
Samsung Galaxy S20
Carrier: Google Fi
Plan: Simply Unlimited
Bought: About 5 months ago, completely unlocked from Samsung, same with my S21 Ultra 5G 256GB.
Developer Options Enabled, only for USB Debugging, which I turned off because we never sideload apk's onto her phone.
When she put on her weird and overly complicated case, did she possibly press some button combinations that caused this odd bootloader sequence? Or what the heck is it? Never seen it, and it only says information about the bootloader. I am failing to understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone.

There are basically four modes to android phones
System - normal everyday operation
Safe mode - normal everyday operation - Doesn't load 3rd party apps ie: apps from playstore etc. Usually pressing vol down key while phone is starting.
Recovery Mode - for clearing system cache, format etc. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when starting the phone.
Download ( Odin ) Mode - Used for flashing Samsung firmware through PC app called Odin. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when restarting the phone or using recovery mode.
From your screen shot you have entered into to 'download mode'. Press and hold the keys on the display to reboot back into system ( volume down + power buttons ) or recovery, safe or download mode again.
How to Boot Your Galaxy S20 into Recovery Mode or Download Mode
Recovery mode and download mode are useful for modding and they can come in handy in a pinch. Booting into recovery mode to do a factory reset or wipe cache fan save your Galaxy S20 from a soft brick, and entering download mode lets you install firmware with utilities like Odin and Smart Switch.

Brick after installing GApps, help me recover!

Earlier I did a dirty flash of the 8-17 CM10.2 nightly over 10.1, rebooted and everything was ok. I decided to check for an updated GApps and downloaded the 20130813 GApps from here. I rebooted into CWM, installed the GApps, rebooted my phone and BAM! Stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy SII" screen.
Tried accessing recovery - no go. Tried accessing download mode - no go. Did some google-fu and discovered I can in fact get into download mode by pulling the battery, plugging my phone into USB, holding home + vol down and tapping the power button, even though I'm unable to enter download mode when on battery. Got into download mode and loaded up odin3 3.07, and installed stock UCKH7 which I used to recover my phone about 6 months ago. Odin flashed, reset my phone, said "Pass!", but phone was still stuck at the GSII spash screen. Tried again with stock UCLE5 image also confirmed working about 6 months ago - no go. Odin says "Pass!" but phone remains stuck at splash screen.
As a side note, my phone seems to get REALLY hot if I leave it sitting on the splash screen for two long, plugged in or not. I've also tried pulling the SIM and uSD.
Suggestions?

Morning update: After letting my phone set overnight without the battery, I plugged it back in and found no changes. I decided to try once more loading UCLE5, walked away from it and got some oats. When I came back, it was past the Samsung splash screen and bootlooping at the "AT&T - Rethink Possible" screen and was very hot.
I'm going to try pushing a kernel with CWM to it.
Are you saying that after flashing UCKH7 and then UCLE5 that you still can't get into recovery? Normally, the remedy for an incomplete boot, or boot loop, after flashing the stock firmware is to perform a wipe data/factory reset from stock 3e recovery.
Also, in your first post, you mention getting into download mode by holding down the home plus vol down buttons and then tapping the power button. The SGH-I777 does not have a hardware home button. And, I've never seen that sequence mentioned by anyone in connection with the SGH-I777. Are you sure you have the AT&T version and not maybe the GT-I9100?

I've always held down the "home" capacitive key when getting into download or recovery, never tried without it.
Anyway, I used the "I777UCKH7.pit" in your repository and then reflashed, got into recovery, factory wiped, and I'm now in stock ICS. Thank you for posting all of those files!
Did you try holding the 2 volume button and THEN plugging in the USB cable? That gets me into download mode immediately.

Start Error in Pixel Experince, by Boot.img flashed by Fastboot (phone almost brick).

Hello friends, I hope you are well. I am writing to everyone to see if anyone can help me with this big problem.
Yesterday install the Rom Pixel Experience, all good, all the steps to perfection and others, had microSD at that time so flash the boot.img by Fastboot. It seems to install the Boot.img in the Recovery TWRP partition, or something like that. Because I do not have the Recovery either, when I try to go to the recovery, the window "Bootloader Unlocked" appears, but it does not take me anywhere, only to the boot of the rom, it is something very strange and the truth scares me. I clarify: I can not access the Fastboot, nor the download mode, nor the recovery, because it does not.
There will be another way: ????
PLEASE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, FIND ANOTHER METHOD TO ENTER THE FASTBOOT OR DOWNLOAD MODE, THE SOLUTION THAT WORKS WILL PAY ME WELL TO THE PROPONGA, PLEASE, I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MY MOBILE, I BUY IT WITH A LOT OF EFFORT.
Last night I dawned on the boot logo, until it was completely downloaded and at this moment it continues to do so ... By GOD!
When trying to enter the Fastboot or download mode, it takes me here:

I can not access Fastboot, nor download mode, nor recovery, because it has disappeared. There will be another way to enter the Fastboot or download mode, because the phone actually woke up until I wake up today and was even charged. PLEASE.
Hey, sorry for your sad state. Following process worked for me when I got stuck yesterday like that.
1. Connect your phone to PC ( make sure adb/fast boot is setup)
2. Hard reboot your phone with power plus volume down button.
3. As soon as your phone turns off, press volume down only and keep it pressed till you enter fastboot.
4. After this phone should be recognised in PC and you should be able to boot in TWRP using fastboot.

Hope this works for you @Yeriorlando. @gimpy1 had a similar issue when installing Havoc ROM. Part of the problem seems to be when installing the custom kernel?
gimpy1 said:
It was operator error (generally is) on my part, I'm sure. The only thing I did different that I can remember is installing the 9.0 boot image in twrp differently. I installed it in the recovery option first (intentionally, should not have), instead of ticking only the boot choice. I did not untick the recovery option (should have never ticked it in the first place, but I was trying to correct a problem on the ROM, and misread a post).

Thx, Chaz. I pulled out my printed instructions from your post, and once I was able to get my device recognized (that did take a couple of tries), reinstalling twrp was pretty easy.

IF you still can't after the suggestion at top, maybe @SGCMarkus or @runningnak3d have some tips?
Unless you have an H932, then if you get the error that: "Your device software can't be checked for corruption" then you have fastboot. It is literally impossible to have that message on a WTF rooted phone and NOT have working fastboot.
So, as @ZestyManu said -- make *sure* your phone is powered off. If you have to let, the battery die. Then hold vol down + plug in the USB cable (no need to touch the power button) and you will enter fastboot.

Thank you all. I have solved the problem in a super crazy way, to pure ADB, not fastboot .... Pure ****ing adb ... Hehehehe. Thanks to @ChazzMatt

Samsung s8 plus it keeps restart, and now cant turn on

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my s8 plus Samsung, suddenly my phone froze, and begin to restart, almost 15 times or more. Then I did a force restart by holding volume down and power button, and after then its start-up usually for 10min, and again restarts, after I connecting to the power cable to changing, it stops charging. Then didn't response for nothing. DEAD, and after I leave it for a couple of hours, I tried to enter safe mode and to wipe cache memory. I thought maybe some app is causing a problem, and I run a test, and it shows me like this. On google, I found that probably is the motherboard, but somebody says its maybe last android update. And my friend says that perhaps it is RAM. Can somebody help me, I only want to access my phone to enter the gallery and save photos, then after that, the phone can be lifetime dead, it doesn't concern me. Thanks for helping me

I will try that, when I turn on the device, now it's frozen again, and I think it is turned off, because I can't turn on, but the battery is 100% charged.

Finally, after almost 12h, I successfully power on my phone, and when I turn on, it showed me this error. Now I think maybe is everything ok with the motherboard because when I type on google this problem, it says that after Samsung Knox update, many users have this problem with the phone.

Samsung Stuck on Logo Screen

Hey everyone , I ran into some trouble with my device and I thought this is the only place I could find a solution,
I was trying to root my samsung tab a (2019) (SM-T515) , but something went wrong after flashing twrp ( specially made for tab a ) and ever since my phone is stuck on the main "Samsung galaxy tab A secured by knox" screen with a yellow triangle symbol below it , it isn't being detected by my PC anymore either. This is what I did in steps:
1)Unlock OEM
2)Go in download mode and flash twrp , it said "pass" and I had auto-reboot off , so I rebooted and got stuck here.
I have tried the power button , it doesn't do anything , also the volume up + power key (recovery mode) doesn't do anything either.
Also I tried the volume down + power button , it restarts the phone and puts it back to the same screen after this message ( see attached imgs ).

Would a USB Jig work in this case?
Hold Power + Vol Down for 7 seconds, then immediate switch to Power + Vol Up to enter TWRP. If that doesn't work, attached USB cable, hold Power + Vol Down for 7 seconds, then switch to Vol Up + Vol Down to enter Download Mode. From there you can flash a known-good OEM build with Odin.

It's possible. When I first started developing for this tablet, I gave up and was ready to let the damn battery drain to reset the device. After about a week, I tried again and finally got the timing right. You need to hold for just a little over 7 seconds, enough so that the reset begins and the screen goes blank. When that happens, immediately switch to the Vol Up & Vol Down combo. (Also, don't forget that you have to have the USB cable connected. It won't work without that.)

Heres what I do ,
1. Attach USB
2.Reset it (vol. down + power)
3.This screen opens
4.I immediately hold Vol. Down + Vol. Up
5.After like 2 seconds, this screen shows up, demanding me to press the power button
6.I ignore it and keep holding vol. down + vol. up, after a while , it goes away automatically , and goes back to this screen
And stays there
Ok , I do not know what I did , but somehow its in download mode now. well thanks for the help @Magendanz , what now , I flashed the original firmware , the tablet started, do I try to root it again?
Is your TWRP version ok for T515?
Also, I was asked to factory wipe the device cause the data was somehow corrupted , idk why was that cause , maybe the twrp version isn't stable? I don't know if I should try again or not.

Well, I don't have a T515, and so I really can't say for sure. I build the custom kernel from the latest SM-T515 kernel source and follow the same build process as I use for the T510, but I'm relying on others to test it. I can only say for sure that the SM-T510 builds work.

If you didn't install Multidisabler, then the fstab will require encryption. If you wiped it in TWRP, rebooting to system will insist the user partition be reformatted with encryption before it will proceed unless dm-verity is disabled.

Download Mode (EDL) for Android Device

Hi All,
I wanted to know if there was a way to enter the Download Mode (EDL) of mobile phone under three conditions that the bootloader is locked, and developers setting is also not enabled and the device is stuck in bootloop?
I've tried couple of tricks but were not successful. The person whose information gets me a positive result will be entitled to a free cup of coffee. Thanks
@Starksm

you don't mention what device it is
for a Lenovo tablet you get to EDL with volume up + Volume down + power
for a xaiomi device their these > https://www.smartphones.how/repair/edl-mode
Press the Shift key and Right click and then select Open command window here to display the command prompt screen.
Type adb reboot edl and press Enter. Automatically the phone screen will dim as dead, it's a sign of your phone has gone into EDL Mode.
Or
2. Take Across From Fastboot
Keep using the Minimum ADB and Fastboot tool but compared the first way we have to go into Fasboot Mode first and then to EDL Mode.
Turn off your phone.
Go to Fastboot by pressing Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until Xiaomi 'rabbit' image appears.
Connect the phone to the computer.
Open the Minimal ABD and Fastboot command prompt, the same way as for point 7 on the first method.
Type fasboot oem edl and automatically your phone will go to EDL Mode. If the command does not work, try fastboot reboot-edl or fastboot reboot edl.
3. Combination Buttons
Turn off your phone.
Now plug one end of the USB Cable into the PC port and the other end does not connect to the phone.
Press the Volume Up and Power buttons and immediately connect the other end of USB Cable to the phone.
Automatically the phone will go to EDL Mode with LED lights will light up blinking.
