My phone is Galaxy S4 Mini (i9195i). I've installed TWRP 3.3.1 and flashed using this ROM ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v7-2-t4107397 ).
The ROM works fine but whenever I try to install GApps (open_gapps-arm64-10.0-pico-20200715) it fails with "Error 64".
I've tried wiping the caches after installing the ROM, rebooting into recovery after installing the ROM, mounting /system before I try to install GApps, downgrading the recovery to TWRP 3.0.2, downgrading the GApps to earlier versions and I've just rooted. The only thing that let me install GApps was installing an arm version instead of arm64. My device is 100% arm64. This resulted in the OS not booting. I left it with a spinning wheel for over 2.5hrs. Reflashed without the arm GApps and it booted in 90s.
Please can someone help me!?
Thank you!

Hi, apparently from what I read here: https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/issues/1070#issuecomment-463335444
And here:
https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/issues/1070#issuecomment-562900489
This is a TWRP issue that can be solved by updating TWRP to its latest version or by using a non official build that have been patched. So I advice you to contact the dev who built TWRP for your device, or keep installing arm Gapps to your phone (if it works).
Have a good day
Also, you can try that : https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/issues/1070#issuecomment-531326172
Or you can try boot TWRP from fastboot :

Hello all,
First of all I want to say I'm pretty new to flashing ROMs etc.
Currently I'm at stock 4.3 Jellybean and I want to flash my SGS3 to the new CM 11 ROM.
I rooted my phone following this tutorial: vvvvvv.telefoonrooten.nl/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s3-root/ (sorry if its in Dutch, but it uses the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.3 and Odin).
After I rooted I copied both the CM11 ROM and GAPPS to my external SD, I went to recovery and tried to install the new custom ROM but I got an error (status 7) and it was aborted.
Also if I try to reboot it won't boot normally as it should be but it goes back to recovery mode automatically...
I fixed to get back to Jellybean by flashing the stock rom (unrooting?) it via Odin.
Anyone else got the exact same problem as I do and knows a solution to be able to flash CM 11?
Thanks in advance,
Steelbear

FAQ (Read before post !!)
- If you obtain Error 7 when you tried to install ROM in CWM or TWRP
Install the latest version of CMW or TWRP

BTW latest philz touch recovery works too
Since you went back to stock and you already know how to root, I suggest you go to Play Store and download ROM Manager to help you install latest CWM recovery on your device.
Or you can simply go to CWM website, pick the version of the recovery for your phone and flash it via Odin.
Hope it helps.

Indeed it worked! I found it out myself yesterday. Went to the CWM site and downloaded the latest version (6.0.4.4.) and flashed it through Odin. But thanks for your input anyways (to all who replied) !
An alternative solution that I often use is to open the Updater Script in META-INF folder in the ROM's zip and delete first lines, where it gets device model as property.
Obviously it's an UNSAFE operation (because that lines avoid to install ROMs of other phone on mine) but when I'm sure that ROM I've downloaded is for my phone I do it and it works
So I just flashed CyanogenMod 11 on LG G2 and forgotbto flash GApps on my phone and when I try folowwing CyanogenMod steps to booting into recovery mode it won't and it just boots back into the operating system. I think Clockworkmod got deleted when I flashed the operating system. So I can't install it without gapps and I need my apps! Please help me. You contact me from my email [email protected] or message me on here.

Alright, Also now it doesn't even boot then reset it just stays at cyanogenmod loading screen.
Recover:
downloadandroidrom . com/file/GalaxyS5/TWRP/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-klte.tar
Rom:
get . cm/?device=kltespr
I don't have a Gapps flashed.
It's the recovery. It's too old. Doesn't support newer roms. You need 3.2. X I believe.
Hi, I am trying to install cynogenmod or mokee rom and the device always gets stuck at cyno/mokee logo. it never goes beyond that. tried to wait for half an hour(waited for one hour twice).
Here is what I am doing:
I used TWRP but it wasnt working so i installed CWM, in both the recoveries I was wiping everything except sd card storage as my zip files were in the card. after that i flashed zip files(ROM & GAPPS). after that i rebooted to system. Am I doing it wrong? I am currently on 4.4.4 stock rom. Need help.
Thank you.
No one to help?
How can TWRP not work on your device? Install again TWRP via adb.
Flash latest twrp 3.0.2 and try

The problem wasn't with the recovery and I wasn't doing anything wrong. It was really too bad to know that the rom version I was installing had a bootloop bug in it. So I had tried two previous versions but they too had the same bug. And unfortunately I tried CONTINUOUSLY for two long days to install those same bugged ROMS as if God has put me in frustration mode. Tech fooled me right, lol.
Grab the November 8 version of Cyanogemod. There are issues with the newer updates.
So i wanted to install custom rom(cyanogenmod 14.1) on my S3 device I realized that my device has already CWM (v5.5.0.4 :: CF -v1.5 ). I can flash cyanogenmod 14.1 with no issues but I can't flash gapps. After installing gapps, I get a lot of errors when I boot(Setup wizard has stopped). I tried 2 different versions of gapps(aroma, nano) both of them didn't work. I started to think that my CWM version is the issue. I want to flash another Custom Recovery like newer version of CWM of TWRP but as I said my charging port is broken. I just want my device to have android nougat with google apps. I hope I can find a solution
Download the TWRP App from Google play and install. You could also search for a flashable TWRP recovery und Update within TWRP to latest version by flashing the .img file.
The problem wont be the recovery. Make sure gapps is the correct one for your device. Check the software versions and cross reference them against Apkmirror.com.
Beamed in by telepathy.
That's a problem of Cyanogenmod 13 / 14.
Wipe your Cache/System/Data Partitions and reflash Cyanogenmod 14.1. Then don't boot up, you've to install the gapps package directly after that.
Make sure that you have downloaded the ARM 7.1 gapps-package.
You can flash twrp or stock rom from 'mobile odin'. Or you can download flashable twrp.zip....but flashing stock ROM requires additional download
I solved the problem. The problem was recovery and i knew it. I downloaded the apk of TWRP App from their official website. It worked flawlessly. After that i Flashed Cyanogenmod 14.1 then gapps with the latest version of TWRP and perfect! Everything works without any problem. I hope this answer is helpful for the other people having the same issue.
