Need help with battery - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Just got the Redmi Note 9S yesterday, global versión, 6/128. I used it all day as it came @60%, let it @24% by the night. Early in the morning i woke up it was @19%, so I did the first charge, I unplugged it @100%, but it didn't even pass out 2min when the phone dropped it out to 96%, so my question is, should I leave it charging for a couples more minutes, or it might be a miss-reading from the rom? or the battery may came buggie/damaged? any suggestion? :good: thanks in advance.
ps: I have a RN7 / M9T / M9TPro / and this never happened to me in those phones.

[Q] Battery problem

hi there,
my phone completed 2 years this month and I have an issue with my battery since I travelled to Brazil 2 weeks ago (I live in Europe)... Even with 90% or 80% or 60%, my phone only works flawless with the charger plugged. When I unplug the charger, the phone doesn't last more than 2 minutes and the screen blinks, and the phone goes off.
looks like my battery is gone for good, what is your opinion? I just bought a new one at ebay, really hope this is the problem.
let me know your thoughts.
x
Erik
Replace battery first, if that doesn't solve the issue replace USB board/port. It will be one or the other (possibly even both, but unlikely).
2 yrs out of a battery is good going if you're discharging/charging once a day (even if you're not; and it's exceptional if you're doing it more than once a day).
thanks for the reply. yes, the new battery should arrive tomorrow or Wed. I will post the result here, just in case.

Blu vivo 5 Low charging and the battery runs out fast

three months ago I bought this phone and the first time I'm having problems with the battery I'm thinking it was a system upgrade
Current version BLU_V0050UU_V15_GENERIC_5.1_18-05-2016

Huge battery problems

Hello, i have a redmi 3 since 2 years, and I've been experiencing some huge drain in battery, when I pull the charger after reaching 100% almost inmediately drops to 94%x I was using resurrection remix, I'm now in Xiaomi.eu MIUI 9.5 and battery life is slight better (I must mention that I use Greenify and bootManager modules)
I'm afraid it could be a hardware problem, this phone belonged to my brother and it had passed a lot of dropping, shocks and liquid, I even bought a replacement battery, problem stays the same, the phone never overheats or hangs so it can't be an internal short.
I've been reading a lot of people talking about 3 days battery life and I always need to charge it after a 11 hour journey
For example this morning unplugged from the charge and did a 30 min videocall via Whatsapp and dropped to 78%. Is that normal. WTH IS WRONG? This is making me NUTS!!!
Hi, I think - your brother is not guilty, because i have same problem with Redmi 3 too long time. After one year and half from day to day -ups- and battery life is in deep ****. I try every ROM - MIUI 7/8/9, lineage ROMs. MoKee, everything, but old stamina battery life did not return. Now battery is empty after few hours and I don´t think she is so ruined ... I have suspect producer from some planned battery life error after some times, because than you must buy new model.... Either way, I did not find solution
Now I have Redmi 5A, but ii is very cheap phone, not so good like ido in any case...

LG G5 (RS988) Battery Won't Hold Charge - Please Help!

I bought my LG G5 new last November (2017). Ever since last week the battery can't hold a charge for more than a few hours. It goes from 100% to dead two to three times a day. Before this disturbing trend, my normal usage would get a full day off a full charge.
A normal day for me is listening to a music player w/ headphones, making sure the screen in on standby. If the screen isn't off I'm just doing light web browsing, like checking forums, searching eBay, reading articles...just really basic web browser stuff. I make sure to keep the brightness at 40-50% on average; close to zero at night.
Anyone have an idea why this happening and how to remedy?
Thanks.
The battery is most likely no longer able to hold a charge, like you described
Sent from my LG-H830 using XDA Labs
Replace it.

After the last OTA update mine suddenly started to do the same thing. I bought 2 batteries online () but they did the same thing. So I got the unlock file from LG and installed twrp and lineage 15.01. Battery improved some. Installed greenify and now i get almost all day. I still swap between 4 batteries. Each lasts about 8 hours and I always take an extra battery with me when i leave home and plug in car charger.

What's the OTA update? If it doesn't download automatically that's not the reason. Plus, this just started happening like 5-6 days ago.
I ordered a new battery yesterday. I couldn't find one that said it was compatible with the RS988; hopefully it works with my model.
Someone suggested I test my battery with a multimeter. I actually have one.. can't belive I didn't think of that. Also, never heard of greenify. I'll have to check it out.
Over the air updates are pushed out by the carrier or manufacturers. I don't know the last version but they can be automatic so you might have it. I found another thread on this https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/rs988-software-update-21c-t3663768
So I got the new battery in the mail and no dice, it still is chewing right through it. It doesn't seem as drastic as it was initially, but I still need to charge it again in the mid-late afternoon.
I think it could the charger. Shortly after i got the phone the battery wasn't holding so well. Then I left the stock charger at a friends. I didn't have time to go pick it up, so I bought a replacement and all of a sudden the battery was holding all day. Then after a while that new charger wasn't holding the battery, so I switched back to the stock one and it was holding it all day again. So chargers have alot to do with battery performance. I ordered another one; hopefully that fixes the problem.
It was the USB-C cable. I bought a new one and I'm getting a full 24 hrs of charge.

Android 10 battery drain OTA Update and HARD RESET

Hi everyone!
A couple of weeks ago I received the security patch and Android 10 for my POCO. It is not yet rooted and running the stock MIUI.
After the update however, the battery life degraded nearly 50% from 5-6 hours of SOT now i have at most 3 to 4.
The Standby battery drain is worse though! Before i charged my phone once in two days (I am not a power user) now i need to charge it everyday! I have more than 20% battery drain at night alone!
The first thing I did after I got that problem was to check if all the apps are restricted, if the GPS is off and so on. I Downloaded the Greenify app just in case but nothing helped!
After that i did a full HARD RESET. After it the Situation got a bit better but still I have no more than 4 hours of SOT and still lose more than 15% at night. All the apps got restricted use and GPS is turned off! The only battery drain function I have active is the WiFi but I got it always on before too!
I couldn't find any solution that would work for me. I was so Inlove with my Poco F1 before and now after the Android 10 update i am starting to feel i need to go on...
Please if you have any suggestions let me know! Thank you a lot!
