I used dirty racun to S-Off the phone and I have sucessfully installed TWRP however I need to restore my nandroid backup so I installed CWM Rom manager and installed the rom. When I do I can get to the first screen in recovery but whenever i chose an option the text disappears but the main icon in the center of the screen remains. This occurs when I try to flash the recovery via command line or w/ the rom manager tool. I tried to restore the backup from the rom manager but it says no backups are found so I need to do this from recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dave
Don't use rom manager use twrp
I understand it messes up the misc partition but I have a nandroid backup of this phone using CWM which I really need to restore. I don't know of any other way to retain that data aside from getting CWM working again. Know of anyway I can extract that data.img, boot.img, system.img file and the nandroid.md5 and manually get this to boot?

I have TeamWinRecoveryProject recovery installed.
However I wiped a ROM that failed to install (CM Nightly 10.1), and when I went to restore a backup, they weren't there.
Now I'm stuck, as I have no ROM to run, and no backups to restore.
Starting up the phone normally gets me nowhere, and in recovery mode there's no ROM to flash.
How can I flash a ROM from my computer? or is there a way to get the backups back?
Thanks, Charlie.
This guide will teach u how to flash a custom rom from adb.
Why don't u just copy a rom .zip file to your sdcard and flash??

Can someone tell me how to custom restore from my backup. My backup is 5 months old and don't want to totaly restore it with the recovery.
what options do I have to choose at the custom recovery screen?
1. The bootloader (I can enter into recovery mode but cannot boot normal). Am I gonna loose the recovery func? because when backed up didn't have it!
2. The kernel (To make the phone to boot into recovery I flashed the Philz kernel)
3. ex-tweaks start up values (This is what I mess, if I can restore the values from my backup everything will boot normal)
PLEASE!
Edit-
I try to restore the boot from my backup but error MD5 mismatch came up
Please help
