Custom Rom ZTE Jasper LTE Z718TL - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I have an old ZTE and I'd like to use USB Tethering for a small application I'm developing, which uses an ssh connection via usb from Android which requires USB Tethering.
I'm trying to solve the following problems:
- How do I activate USB Tethering withour sim card?
The USB Tethering settings get disabled with message "SIM card not ready".
- Is there a custom rom for Zte Jasper LTE Z718TL?
- My ZTE is not even detected by the PC, how can I fix this?
Usb debugging is already enabled after doing a factory reset.
- Do any one know another way to ssh from Android to raspberry pi by usb without usb Tethering?
Thanks

On PC install the USB-driver matching at 100% your device, also install the ADB-driver.

root without USB Connection???

usb connection and charging isn't possible.
So i opened the phone and replaced the charger port flex cable.
Still no connection to PC but charging is after a few tries on disabling usb debugging and reactivating is now possible. But connecting to the PC is even now impossible Maybe a firmware update solves the issue.
Is it possible to root via w-lan, bluetooth or SD-card?
i did nowhere find any solution

No.
Make sure you've installed all of the necessary drivers. (Kies or the standalone driver pack)
i had 2 of this smartphones. Both factory reset. I know exactly how to root!
With the first one root was no problem. But the second one seems to be defective!
Didn't you read my message properly? there must be any solution how to root without usb!
Try something like this and push the su files manually.

I would like to connect my PC to the internet using a USB cable connected to my phone. now here is the important part, I want the to use the wifi connection on my phone and NOT THE DATA PLAN . here's what i'm doing:

What am i doing wrong?

USB tethering on TAB264

Hi,
I have TAB264 Yarvik. Only thing I need is to connect it to the RasPI and make USB tether. I test it on Arch Linux on my notebook. I can plug my phone with usb tethering allowed and than I am able to connect to the internet.
However, there is no such option on my TAB264. There is original ROM (4.2.2). I have installed some USB tether apps but nothing worked.
Do I need root or even new ROM? Or is it hardware dependent?
Thank you.
P.S. I can see the tablet in ADB if it helps.

H961N - Unable to connect to laptop. Device not recognized.

Hi Guys,
I'm unable to connect my v10 to my windows laptop or any other OS or laptop. I always get an error message saying, USB Device not recognized. However, the only thing I can do is Charge my phone with it. :crying:
About the device,
Android Version: 7.0
ROM: Stock
SW Version: V30a-HKG-XX
I've tried almost everything. The following are what I've tried
1. Rebooting the phone and connecting again,
2. Tried on different laptop/computers, with linux and mac too,
3. Replaced the micro usb port,
4. Fiddled with device manager on windows, uninstalled drivers, reinstalled,
5. Tested with different data cables,
6. Tried connecting OTG usb drives,
7. Booting into Fastboot to see if it gets recognized there,
8. Updated from MM to Nougat,
9. Enabled USB Debugging, under dev options,
10. Enabled MTP, under dev options
All of the above did nothing to solve the problem.
I believe the data cables on the microusb port are fine and there maybe something wrong with the motherboard. Please tell me if I'm correct with this inference. if yes, then what may be done to solve this.
Please guys, suggest what maybe wrong and what can be done to fix it. I'd really Love & Hope it if there is a simple fix to it
Thanks.
Same problem here. The problem started just after the upgrade to 7.0 (via ota). I spoke to lg but i have no warranty because my phone was bought on another country. Hope someone can help.

Can't connect OnePlus 3 to PC - USB Debugging?

I would like to root my new OnePlus 3, but it is not connecting to my PC.
Developer Options is enabled as well as the USB Debugging, OEM Unblock and Fast Hibernation.
USB Setting: MTP.
The issue is not about my PC, because i have a friend with a OnePlus 3 too and i tried to connect to his PC and nothing.
It doesn't show a permission on my phone to allow the usb debugging conection.
I don't have my SIM card in the phone yet, but it has nothing to due with this (right?).
Does anyone have any kind of advice? i am open to try anything
Many many thanks in advance to who at least take some time trying to help me
Best regards,
Salvador92
