I am not an Android developer but I am very capable of understanding and writing code.
2 days ago I went on holiday with my family and took my brand new Xbox controller together with my sparkly Huawei mate 20 pro. My son and I play Minecraft and I knew he would want to grab some playtime when we were not doing anything so I figured I would hook up my controller to the phone because I read that Minecraft pocket edition has native support for the Xbox controller.
To my disappointment, the moment I hooked up my controller, I experienced terrible drifting to the left. The camera constant panned to the left.
After A LOT of research and after downloading a game controller testing app, I could confirm that this was not a problem with the game, but the controller having an off-center analog stick as an in the below snapshot.

So just like on the steam app or in most games that use a controller, they have a dead zone setting to compensate for this anomaly.
My question is this:
Is there a way to edit a config file on the Android 10 platform that can increase the dead zone of the analog stick or is there an app that doesn't require root to do the same??

Hello all. Has anyone tried using a USB controller with the Acer A200 ICS tablet? I have a Logitech G-UF13A. It's a dual analog controller.

I am wanting to play N.O.V.A.2 but it does not work. The only way it responds is four seemingly random buttons (meaning not the d-pad or stick) move you in four directions and one button pauses it. No looking around, no fire control, nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Nobody knows?
Between here and the Android Central forums about 500 people have viewed this post (or the similar one posted over there) and nobody seems to know. Am I the only one who wants to play games with a controller? Haha please comment if you have any suggestions. Should I go buy a different one? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Im not sure about that tablet or that controller but Ive been using a PS3 controller wit tha sixaxis app for rooted devices. Wireless bluetooth gaming (easier with the usb to set up tho) and u can adjust the touch profiles for any game. I've used it on NOVA2, GTAIII, Modern Combat 3, Asphalt racing, and Spider-Man.

I developed a really ambitious game for my first real offering to the public. It's an open world Space strategy role playing game, or OWSSRPG for short!
To the extent that it is a role playing game I suppose I'm over stating it. You have experience, currency, objects you own, ships you own, and you travel around talking to weird people from different worlds. I really don't know how to categorize it. Screw categories anyway, it doesn't work to categorize music really so why should it work with games? Its late, i'm ranting. Anyway. I'm really starting to like this forum and I plan on being a regular here (I'm not JUST fishing for downloads).
Check out my game if you have time.. I'm guessing you do since you're chilling on this forum. But whatever .. if you want to MAKE time, I'd love it (yee ha!) if you'd check out my game on the android play store. Its free so RELAX, be cool. Stay classy everyone

gee..eez this I'mage is way too big.
Hi guys!
Hope you don't mind me asking this here,
I'm Vanessa and I recently finally moved from my parents home to my first appartment, and some stuff I had in college had been in storage for some time.
One of these items was this honestly awesome phillips all-in-one (S231C4AFD) from 2014.
Back in 2014 I used it to control all my smart home appliances.
Hoping I could tie everything in my new appartment together with this thing as the main hub I started setting up.
Only to realize this thing is still at android 4.2.2 and thus not working anymore with most smart home apps (like the next gen phillips hue).
I really want this thing to be the control center of the house, nest, netflix, spotify, hue.
I really hope one of you might be able to help me to push this thing to the modern age, because phillips won't do so, and it's a really cool device to control ones home with.
Thank you guys!

wanted to share this from a 40+ year old. (i enjoy video games, but am an OG- so struggle with modern games)
MAGIC RAMPAGE works awesome on SHIELD TV, is free, and has ZERO AD's - unless you want to watch them
this game has been around a while, but is still under development and updates. If you ever enjoyed NINTENDO or SEGA as a kid, then this is right up your alley.
its a classic side scrolling game, with modern graphics and kick butt soundtrack.
I have played too many games from the play store to even think about, and yet this one still stands out. its not easy, not hard, and really feels like a next generation 16 bit game, that was created with care. when the wife saw me playing this game, she asked for the shield game controller and hasn't looked back.
millions and millions of apk's, and yet this one still brings fun. ( even if you try to finish the game, they have weekly levels and competitive mode )
if the DEV reads this, please please please keep up the good work. PS: If part 2 is ever built, i would buy it in a heartbeat.
