Hello everyone,
I noticed this one since I installed YouTube Vanced and I thought maybe that was the problem but no, after playing some longer video the volume suddenly drops. I read on reddit others experience this problem so I was hoping maybe here we can find a solution? I searched the xda threads but didn't found anything.
Kinda off to a bad start for troubleshooting though.
Can you give more information?
Are you using stock ROM? If so what version and variant? Are you on global, EU or Indian variant? Android 9 or android 10? What security patch?
Any mods installed? Particularly sound mods?
Any magisk modules?
Have you tried taking a log of the issue and see what happens?
Is this through the phone speaker or wired headset or Bluetooth.
I am not able to replicate on my setup.

Thank you for the fast reply: I'm on stock Android 10 Global version. Latest August security patch. I am not using any apps for sound and no headsets or earmuffs. No magisk module and no root.
If I just leave YouTube with a longer video, at one point the sound almost mutes. I even uninstalled YouTube Vanced.

Today it happened again and in another app that was doing live tv streaming. I had not encountered anything like this in another phone. I'm sure that's a but but what can cause this? All my notifications are muted.

First of all, hello!
Ok, so I've been having this problem with the phone since I received it: When I want to transfer the audio of the phone to an LG Home Cinema via Bluetooth, the audio doesn't sound properly (sometimes nothing comes out of the speakers and sometimes half of a second of the song plays but very distorted, but in the phone it is displayed that the song is playing). I tried to pair the audio of the phone with a mini speaker that also supports Bluetooth and the Redmi Note 2 works just fine with it.
I've changed the rom several times since I bought the phone (MIUI always, I'm currently on 7.1.0 Stable) but the issue is still there.
My previous phone, a Mi3, worked well with the Home Cinema and also every other phone that I link to the speakers also work well so it's definitely a problem with the Redmi Note 2 and this LG Home Cinema in particular.
Any suggestions or thoughts on this?
Thank you!
I am having the same issue with bluetooth headphones...audio stuttering is horrible + some peak distortion...I`ve tried anything (change build.prop, disable wifi, disable bluetooth log) but no change.
The headphones are not defective as they work properly with PC or other device with android 4.2.2.
Same here. Annoying stuttering in bluetooth headset.
I'm using weekly dev builds from xiaomi.eu
No problems here with the global developer version. Works like a charm with Bose Soundlink Mini and Creative T12 Wireless.
Bluetooth stuttering....

Does work fine with miui though... BUT.
For me so far, bluetooth audio stutters very rarely, but it does stutter now and then. No distortion, however.
Currently on xiaomi.eu v6.2.25 about to move on to v6.3.24 beta
Hey folks,
since I upgraded from OOS 2.2.x and a custom ROM to OOS 3.1.x, suddenly Google Duo refused to send any sound to my conversation partner.
Getting very close to the mic and speaking into it very loud makes it partially possible to send some audio during a call.
Is there any fix for it? I've read about this issue in the 3.1.0 community build thread and it obviously has not been fixed nor did I see anything about it again.
Any help is appreciated.
Best wishes.
Same issue here
I've got the same issue on my side with oneplus X Oxygen OS 3.1.3, receiving party doesn't received my audio.
same issue, 3.1.3
It's a known bug. Hopefully they fix next update. For now if you use Facebook messenger has video chat.
Hi guys, I know this is an old post, but did you find any solution? My mum just got a second hand Oneplus X and we can't use Duo, I can't hear a word she says. We're using Skype, which works fine but it drains my Nexus 6P's battery like crazy...

Youtube is in sync even my videos playing through mxplayer and music aswell but when I play games, audio tends to delay for like a second. It's bothering me, I did try turning off wifi and scan nearby devices and still the same results. Tried 3 bluetooth earphones so far and all of them delays. Even my samsung level active on aptx codec. Is there anyway to fix this? will changing rom fix this? settings on changing the codec doesn't seem to stick.
Note 9 user here. I had this issue on Oreo but it seems to be fixed with Pie.

A little bit different of a situation that I've got here, but I, too, began to notice the Bluetooth lag issue when playing music from my phone on my pioneer head unit after updating to the One UI beta. It got to the point where I couldn't even skip tracks and the album/artist/song title wouldn't even show up on it either. It just said "No Data Provided"
Anyway, I restored an old smartswitch backup and everything was working like it was supposed to again. I finally just re-updated to pie again, hoping that whatever was goin on with the Bluetooth in the beta would be fixed in this "Official" Pie update....yeah, not so much
meet the problem once i was playing PUBG, and solved with Pie.

Is therr anything ı need to do for Android 11 that spesifially ?
Im frustrated.. Sesrch every keyword I imagine for problem and found some explaining but didnt help my cause. Please help.
Solved the issue. Problem is Oppo Wireless app. Uninstall thst and install HeyMelody. There is something wrong with the stock one but i dont know what.
I had similar issue tonight with the OnePlus Buds Pro.
I downloaded the OnePlus Buds app from the app thinking that what I needed since they are OnePlus right? Nope.... Guess not cause it did nothing so I found the Manual and OP site says download HeyMelody app and I did but it would fully connect to the Buds so I removed the earlier OnePlus Buds app and then launch the HeyMelody again and bam! It's working!
I'm glad I got it working but who the hell is HeyMelody??? And why do I need their software on a OnePlus device?
Greetings!
I've recently bought a Poco F1 and have been running Lineage on it. Today I noticed that people cannot hear me during calls in Facebook Messenger and Viber. I assume the same would happen in similar apps. The audio volume is very low and there is some static. The same happens when I record audio with the voice recorder or camera. They can, however, hear me well during regular calls. When I send a voice message in Messenger the audio is very clear and crisp.
I am pretty sure it's a software issue related to Lineage.
Anybody have an idea how to solve this?
Could I manually change some code in system files to boost my mic volume or something?
you can try getting latest firmware updates & or try a rom that has stable build for the phone...

I tried the firmware updates, didn't work. I also tried the CalyxOS ROM for Poco F1 and it had the same problem. Could it be a hardware issue or is there something I'm missing. Any other recommendations?

you can use an external mic (headset) if you want to stay at that rom... if you still want it fixed try other roms that are stable & if it doesn't get fixed still it probably is a hardware issue...
