This may be a dumb question...but, I find the timing of this update to be somewhat overly coincidental. Our free mobile hotspot trial is set to expire on the 15th, and this begins rolling out on the 12th...
Is it possible this update may also contain something that disables our hotspot feature? Or does one have nothing to do with the other?
Edit: I'm in Sarasota, Florida and one of the people who has been stuck on Rev A ever since that outage a few weeks back. As of today, I notice that finally it is back to the hybrid network...also coinsiding with the day this update rolls out. Just thought I would point this out for.people who have had the same issue.
Was there a need to post this in both forums?

Despite this update (2.01.605.11), the mobile hotspot app still drops out connectivity. The wifi from the laptop to the phones mobile hotspot app is solid, but the 4G connection from the phone to the tower continues to drop out and completely disappear leaving only signal bars on the screen of the phone. Strage thing is that with the hotspot app off 4G is fully stable and fast. Huge disappointment that this issue continues even after this update drops...
Please let me know if this is just me or if you can confirm this issue on your Rezound too.
Thanks!
-Nate
The update specifically said it will only fix data stalling while connected to two or more devices at once..data dropout won't be fixed until ICS maybe.
I was really hoping this would be fixed in the OTA. No luck, though. Quite a few threads going with people reporting it as still an issue:

I've been beligerent about calling tech support about this. Got $30 credit for twice now. Enough of us get reimbursed for this and Verizon will notice once it affects their bottom line.
Hi all
I was wondering whether the more tech savvy users could help me with a peculiar problem that I've been encountering with my Honor 7. I'm on EE in the UK and since I live in a poor reception area, I've been reliant on the EE signal box ( a femtocell) to get any use out of my phone at home for several years. The box is made by CISCO and was working flawlessly with my Galaxy S4, my brother in law's IPhone 5 etc. Using the Honor 7, I can still receive calls, SMSs etc but am unable to hear the person on the other end (although they can still hear me). I work a lot from home and not being able to receive calls is driving me nuts. I have been on to EE tech support who have been unable to offer a solution apart from sending me a new box which has unfortunately failed to fix the problem.
Since I'm not encountering the issue whilst out I am assuming this is a problem specific to the box, the way it communicates with the phone or maybe a software bug. I have tried fiddling with the settings, scoured the internet for solutions but have had no joy.
Any ideas?
It's a very specific problem and you may be pi$$ing in the wind here, but I am curious to know if anyone knows anything.
I have issues when using wifi at work (through CISCO gear) and my H7, it's woeful (actually there are three H7 users here, and we all have the same poor experience), where everyone else is fine. Wifi at home through a cheapo router running Open-WRT is excellent. I'll probably ask this in another thread, but I'd like to be able switch bands 2.4/5GHz to test and i'm buggerd if i can find that anywhere on the Honor

I suspect you are right-its probably down to hardware compatibility issues as there is no reference to other users experiencing the problem. Meanwhile, my quest for a decent but cheap replacement for the Galaxy S4 continues (after a Cubot 1, Ulefone Be Touch 2 and Honor 7)..might have been better off buying a S6 edge at this rate
Just a shot in the dark, but make sure carrier aggregation is set to Off in the network Settings, and try also switching the band to 3g/2g or 3g only

Thanks-tried both but still no joy. I even swapped my signal box with my mother in law's (an older non CISCO version) with similar results, all of which point to a software issue as far as I can tell. Which is a shame really since its a decent phone and compatibility issues such as this would be a deal breaker for many. I hope the Marshmallow update may solve this-if not, I may have to go back to the deeply flawed, barely useable S4...
So I have an LG G3 D851 from T-Mobile. I noticed that my phone has all sorts of trouble when it's on the GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto. Most notable problem is that I can't receive calls but I can make them. I have all around connectivity issues. When I switch to GSM ONLY mode however I have no connection issues and people can call me, but in this mode I can NOT have 4G LTE, only 2G. I can't figure out a fix for this. T-Mobile has done all they can for me and have said it's not the network. I spent lots of time on the phone with their engineers. I was wondering if I root and install a Android 7.0 ROM if there is a possibility that this might fix the problem, maybe there needs to be an update I can't have in 6.0. Do you know of a way to fix my connectivity issue?
Has anyone heard anything yet regarding the WiFi 6 problems this phone has?
I have to turn WiFi off and on numerous times a day to keep it working, it's insane. I use a TP-Link Archer 11000 and have nothing but problems. Every other device in this house works perfect (3 laptops, doorbell, multiple firesticks, roku, desktop on wifi adapter, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Google Home, hell, even my Note 20 Ultra 5G worked perfectly).
This phone is being crippled. I have already replaced it once, wiped the device, etc etc.
Mine will switch from 6Ghz to 5Ghz (from 6E to 6) throughout the day and I have no idea why, but it never loses connection.
I had to disable AX band on my router to keep a stable connection.
TP-Link Deco XE75 here at home, zero issues. Whatever they are using at work for the recently updated WiFi 6 causes some issues sometimes (says it's connected but there isn't any data) or it'll not stay connected even though I'm literally within feet of an AP.
I have problems too. Apps have sync problems. I get errors in uploads for Dropsync all the time.
However other devices work fine on the same network. And the S23Ultra doesn't have these problems when on mobile network.
I can't figure out the reason.
I have an unlocked S23 Ultra on the T-Mobile network with an ASUS WiFi 6 Router (RT-AX3000) and have never had an issue with the connection.
It's a known issue. Deal with it.

I have had WiFi 6/6e in my place for a couple years now and have never had any issues with connectivity.
My first WIFi 6 setup used the Linksys Velop routers: https://www.linksys.com/mx10600---tri-band-ax5300-mesh-wifi-6-system-2-pack/MX10600.html
Never had any connectivity/speed issues using 2 nodes meshed.
I am currently running the Google Nest Pro's (WiFi 6/6e): https://store.google.com/product/nest_wifi_pro?hl=en-US
Also no connectivity issues at all, also using 2 nodes meshed.

Thanks!
Interesting. I know 5 people here in town that have S23U's without issues. Is there a common link? I'll read more of the articles after my next meeting.

Just some wifi6 routers
ok, read a bit more, about to head into meeting.
It seems I have a different issue all together. I have absolutely NO issues with internet connectivity when on WiFi. Home or otherwise. My issue is, with my new Nest Pro's, I barely ever see WiFi 6e, not that it's making a huge difference as it is anyway.
Hrm, will keep an eye on this then.

Yes this is a different issues, I have the same issue as you. My S23U loses WiFi connection all through out the day, no other device in my house has this issue. I have the Netgear Nighthawk Mesh system. I am so tired of it because I have zero Data service at my house so wifi is my only option so when it does this and I am not aware I can't get text or calls.
