Recently the navigation bar is hiding itself on all the games I play. Also I'm not able to install game Booster plus, I don't see the puzzle icon next to the settings icon. I tried installing it plus thru chrome. It will install from galaxy store, but won't open. I have no problem with my other two Samsung devices. Anyone has the same problems. Thanks.

I recently installed CM7 on my touchpad, and I had a few questions for those using android. I have an android phone so I'm pretty familiar, but many applications are not optimized for tablets, landscape or just the resolution. What are some tips or suggestions you all have.
1. Laucher : using go right now, but I'm not liking it too much. Most launchers don't play well with the horizontal orientation, or the bottom taskbar.
2. Phone calling: I would love to be able to make calls though google voice or something. I like gmail calling on my computer, but I'm not sure that will work. I have skype but would like something free. I use ooma at home but their app is expensive and has bad reviews.
3. Weather: I already have enough trouble finding a weather app for my phone, but most don't seem to work in landscape.
4. Market : there seems to be a lot of incompatible apps, even amazon mobile. I tried the market fix but no luck.
5. Keyboard : I'm using SwiftKey x tablet right now and love it, but woud like to hear other people's suggestions.
Thanks,
-Keith

Launcher - I have tried them all and I always come back to the stock ADW that comes with CM7 because it is the most configurable and generally works well in landscape mode. I also use the ICS theme to get the buttons and status bar more to my liking.
Phone Calling - CM7 is still in Alpha so some stuff still does not work.
Weather - Don't know what you are looking for in a Weather app or widget but I use the 3D Digital Weather Clock for local weather (tap on the Sun/Moon to get the 5 day forecast). There are a ton of things out there.
Market - I guess I haven't had a problem with anything that I have needed or wanted. You could try programs like LCD Resolution or LCD Density and change it to 200 to see if more stuff shows up in the market for you.
Keyboard - Thumb is great.
market 3.3.11 works just fine for me
I got my galaxy s 3 and downloaded a few apps, facebook, zedge wallpapers, weather widgets, etc. Just some basic stuff, I'm wondering what types apps everybody else will be using ?
I use a Speedometer (Ulysse). I use it with navigation (it's cool because it displays the speed over the map, it's useful to me because i lower my steering wheel low enough that it blocks my view of the cars speedo)...whether I'm navigating to a specific location or not...I've always got my S3 doing something.
Is there a app to do a phone speed test ?
Speedtest.
I was accessing Google Play Store and an update was needed. It waited all night and it was still waiting. Trying to "fix" things, I accidently deleted the Google Play Store icon. I can go to Setting>Applications Manager and the app is still running, but I can't get the icon back on my Nova home screen. I am using Nova Launcher if that makes a difference on my s4. When I return to the Touchwiz home page, the the Google Play Store icon is there. I just can't move it over to the Nova Launcher home page.
Can someone please help this Android idiot?
Thanks in advance.

Recently pulled my old i777 out of the drawer. After upgrading to 4.1.2 i found that the Active applications and assistive light widgets are both absent.
I had both these widgets on previous versions of android on this phone. I have another phone(i437p) running stock 4.1.2 which has both of these widgets.
I scoured the internet and found some people with this problem. Found some suggestions to download the galaxy apps application and i would be able to downloaded them from there but neither of these widgets are available for download on galaxy apps.
My question is if anyone knows how or where to download and install these stock widgets?
I understand i can access the active apps by holding down the home button then clicking the pie chart on the bottom left. I can also download any of the hundreds of flashlight apps on playstore. However i find it much more convenient to use the widgets right on my home screen. I also dont like downloading 3rd party apps which will be full of ads and eat my data and ram.

Samsung removed the widget after ICS, but you'd have no trouble using one from the Play Store. Just find one without ads (if that's your concern), it won't run in the background and will work just the same as Assistive Light. Or you could install an AOSP rom, as they nearly all have a flashlight toggle/app built in.
the flashlight is not that big of deal i guess. The active applications widget is extremely useful.
I sucked it up and downloaded a widget from the market but they all have their own task killers equipped with ads and all. had to uninstall.
I also found the "shortcuts" option missing from the home screen. It might have allowed me to put a shortcut to active apps on my homesceen. This version of android on the s2 seems to be very limited. I know these widgets haven't been discontinued because newer phones running the same stock firmware have the widgets and shorcuts. I would be satisfied with a simple shorcut to active apps on the homescreen.
So just as the title says, I just recently got one of the free Google Star Wars Cardboard viewer and I can't seem to get the settings right. The settings work wonders in the app, but not on any of the 360 videos.
Thanks,
