Hi im on moto g7 and i have freaking screnn persistence -after using some white app even 2-3 minutes, i have still when i launch another app, i have still white buttons etc on my screen - on dark theme this shows massive is this problem is on Moto G8 Power to? cuz on mot g8 plus ifound some threads thi is still a problem, like on old unfamous Moto G4
I really have a problem, managed to solve it somehow
I haven't encountered this on my G8 Power. Please keep in mind that I use dark mode for all apps, on every phone.

Hi, guys.
I just trade my lg optimus 2x for a moto razr XT910.
However, I was playing with it last night, i found out there are some tiny blue dot appearing when the screen is totally black, ( like when the phone is booting)
I researched a bit and found that they are called stuck pixels.
Is there anyway to fix it?
Please help!!!
oh, i tried using an app called dead pixel fix that flash the screen with different colors, but after 3 hour or so, it did not do anything.

I too have one. YOu just have to live with it. In day to day use it hardly matters. And if have a habit to stare at a blank screen in the dark, it is YOU who needs help and not the phone. LOL! Just kidding. There is nothing we can do for it at the moment.
you can replace screen. with glass and touch. but this is madness

Really happy with it.
However, roughly every hour or so it will just give me a black screen. I can hold the power button on the side and the touch buttons either side of the home button light up, but nothing on the screen. It is totally unresponsive on the screen, the only way is to reboot.
Any ideas how to fix? How do i get the latest software for this phone, i have no idea what software is on it already.

For your black screen problem, turn off auto brightness and put it manual at a medium level. If it's too low it will go black. That should solve it
what SAR rating for thl w8 beyond?

I've been toying with non-Moto phones and I found that I really don't want to do without the Moto Display features, specifically the wave to wake feature of Active Display. So, my question to you current Moto Z users is, how well do these features work on the Z? On my X2, Active Display lights up when my hand is 10 inches away from the screen (I measured) and this is perfect because when I want my phone to do something, I reach for it, it lights up with options, I touch and swipe, and it's done in one gesture. This is especially important when I'm driving and using my phone for music. How close do you have to get to your Moto Z to activate the Active Display?

Moto Z has same display features. Also can install the updated version of Moto Display from X4. Visit this thread

Thanks! That's great to hear. I'll have to do some poking around to see how they've improved it for the X4. I can't imagine how it would get better.

I recently upgraded my old HTC phone to the LG Thin Q 8, so far I like the phone (there are a ton of features I still haven't learned yet lol), but I did notice one thing that was different from all my other Smartphone....when I get a Notification, text or missed a call I don't get a little green flashing light at the top of my phone (when the screen is off) alerting me that I have a notification/text/missed call. Is there someway to turn this light on, or does this phone not have that feature?? Someone please help me figure this out!!
Also, when I was looking at the LG Model in the Sprint store you could take a Screenshot by swiping the side of your hand across the screen, how do I turn this feature on??

LG G8 doesn't have LED notification light. Almost no recent phones use that anymore. Like see least the past couple of years...
HOWEVER, you can enable the Always-on display function to see notifications icons when your screen is off.

I'm crossposting this from the g8 stylus forum -- if this isn't allowed, please let me know, but as this devices forum has more active members and posters, and the devices internals are practically identical, I thought I'd give it a chance.
Hello all -- has anyone else been experiencing screen retention? I've had this phone *brand new* , not refurbished or used, or a little but over 3 months now, and it has noticable burn-in from the status bar.
I rarely use this phone outdoors / max brightness, and I was wondering if anyone else experienced this, because I'm disappointed from how 3 months of use can easily show on a brand new phone. It's much more pronounced than my 2 year old Moto G7 power.
Do I have a dud, or something wrong with my screen? I have a protector, a good case, and have kept my device well cared for. I'm considering sending it back to Motorola if i manage to unroot it and lock the bootloader back up.
A photo is attached here, it's more noticable in real life so I apologise for the poor quality.
Did this happened over night or over a period of time? Also, is it possible to show another picture with the whole phone? I'm having trouble grasping what is happening to your screen.
I had the same thing happen on the 30th with my g power. Ghost images of the top bar and a large rectangle in the middle of the screen. I turned off my screensaver when charging and disabled display peek for now. The retention has gone away but I have no idea what caused it. I never use full brightness and usually only have the screen on for 10 minutes or less.
i have the same issue with my moto g8 power (model 3), i use it almost always on full brightness since may 2020, sometimes it will happen, sometimes won't
