Moto E 2nd Gen Data Recovery - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a stock Moto E 2nd gen from AT&T which has lasted for years, I actually loved this phone even with its limited space.
Anyways, my phone now boots and gets to the motorola logo, then the AT&T logo, then black screen! I should note that while the screen is black I can hold down the power button and it shows the "Power off" popup. There's no back or home buttons at the bottom of the screen.
I've tried wiping the cache and booting into factory mode with no luck. I can't seem to get the device recognized via USB while booted or in recovery mode. Also, as it's an AT&T phone the bootloader is not unlockable.
So the question is, is there anyway I can pull the data off the phone or possibly fix it? O'm thinking my only option is to try flashing a stock rom from the external SD card from the blooader without wiping the factory settings to see if that fixes the problem. Really, I only need to salvage my data so any way I can get into it would be great.
Does anyone have any ideas or has had a similar problem and managed to salvage their data?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

bump!

[Q] Is my phone bricked!? Oh crap.

So heres the problem. I've been waiting ages for a good phone that can play videos on the go, but after finding out that my HTC hero (GSM) only supports 2.1 android and cant run iPlayer, i thought i might as well try to install it myself. And thats when it all went wrong. I got UniversalAndroot 2.2 and now my phone just freezes on an "android" logo which was never even there before. What can i do? The only thing i can do is hold down the power and volume down buttons and get into a white screen with two options. Help please....
isnt it home and power button to go to recovry?
Have you wiped your phone data in your recovery image if not wipe your phone data/factory reset in your recovery image and also wipe your cache
It's fine guys, I managed to get into recovery, thanks for your help!

[Q] Droid Razr Maxx stuck in Boot Loop

I hope this is posted in the correct location, apologies if it is not.
As stated in the title my droid razr maxx is stuck in a boot loop:
it will go to the "M" "dual core technology" screen and reboot itself after about 20s.
I tried going into the boot menu [I can turn off the phone from the AP fastboot, so it doesn't lose charge].
In the boot menu, I tried to do a factory reset (I've never done anything to this phone and have no idea how)...the recover screen never comes up, the phone just goes back into the loop, same thing for BP tools.
Note: FYI: I had my phone plugged into my computer when I went into AP fastboot and I got an error on my computer saying that it can't find the device.
As of right now I have no idea what to do (I've only ever used phones as they came in the box)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Update: After charging for the night, the phone turned on with no problem...
then later the screen wouldn't turn on [side buttons and touch didn't work].
Now it looks like the phone is completely off and wont turn on at all (I tried all the combination of buttons and I tried plugging it in)
Please help

[Q] rooted razr wont boot past moto splash

hey having a pretty major issue and really hoping someone can help. i have a rooted razr with jellybean leak. installed and rooted with mattlgroff droid razr utility. was working fine for a while. started having some issues so i just did a safestrap system restore and now the phone wont boot. it gets to the moto splash screen and then just goes blank, does not even get to the option to boot to safestrap or regular boot. i have tried to restore jb again with the razr utility and it seemed to install but then safe result on reboot, moto splash then nothing. i would try factory reset, but cant seem to get to that either. i boot to the built in recovery mode and choose recovery and then it gets to the screen with the android lying on its back with the triangle and exclamation mark and i hit the volume button and nothing happens, just stays there. would really appreciate any help or ideas here. thanks.
nevermind. was finally able to get into recovery mode and did factory reset and its working now

[Q] XT910 stuck on Cm11 blue logo

So I have a droid razr that has (Safestrap 3.73 with TWRP 2.7.0.0)
I flashed a custom rom onto it; a 4.4.4 version and it was working fine for a few days. The phone died overnight, and I charged it to full battery yesterday. After doing so it will no longer boot to the operating system.
The phone can boot to recovery, and the options can be fiddled with there, however I cannot get the phone to get past the blue logo with the spinning arrows. It will stay there indefinitely...
I do not have an external SD card for the phone, and my pc will not recognize the phone in spite of having the drivers for the phone installed before hand. I have tried to wipe/factory reset multiple times and yet it will always get stuck at the blue logo. The option for the stock rom is greyed out in the boot section, and I really need my phone to get some functionality back to it.
I do not have any other image for recovery installed on the phone, only the current rom and gapps are on the install section. I have wiped and tried to reflash but I always get the same result.
Where do I proceed from here? I am very confused and could use some help as to what to do to restore functionality... personally id prefer to go back to stock image but am having a hard time locating the us verizon factory image online, not that I can even get it onto the phone.

would love help urgently pls, rely on phone, screen stuck on bootloader unlocked

hi sorry for tge urgent request its just I need my phone for alarms to remind me when to take my various meds.
My screen is stuck in bootloader unlocked scren and i cannot switch it off. No access to settings
Somehow i managed to get it into twrp screen but I dont know how I did it, and i didnt know which option to choose after swiping, so screen went back to 'bootloader unlocked scren'
I got back in again to twrp screen but dunno how, and chose reboot, but screen just went totally black, but still on if you know what I mean.
I cannot seem to get it back into twrp screen
I an very tech naiive and routed my phone to get rid of bloatware by watching some very comprehensive indian guys videos.
I cannot understand all the jargon.
I also downloaded 'unlocked bootloader warning fix' but it got stuck at cmd screen, kept saying 'waiting for device' and I didnt even know whether to plug the phone into the laptop or not.
Plus my battery runs out quick.
Dunno how i managed to get it back to TWRP, dont even understand TWRP, what option would I choose on TWRP to get me back into my phone as I rely on it heavily.
I use the alarms and reminders as I have bad adhd, and really need them, a paper diary doesnt cut it, I also need reminding when to take my meds, but without my phone i cant.
So, if anyone can help me get back into twrp then into my phone by teling me what to press I will be greatful. I dont have access to the settings as it is stuck on bootloader unlocked screen.
thanks in advance and remember your talking to a tech dummy who came here cos her screen is locked, lol and thanks for reading and your kind help in advance.
two people also asked on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/help/moto-e-stuck-bootloader-unlock-warning-t3169916 but no answers.
Mebbe a few of us need help here, much apppreciated.
It depends on what you flashed on your phone recently
It can happen due to broken kernels or ROMs for not your version of phone
Get a ROM like cyanogenmod or something like that for your device put it in your external sdcard
Press volume down and power button until the screen is off and then keep pressing it for 20 seconds
Leave it the fastboot mode will start
Use your volume down button to go to 'recovery mode'
Volume up to choose it
Go to wipe
Go to advanced wipe
Select system, cache, dalvik cache, data.
Swipe to wipe
After the wipe is complete go to install
And choose the file you just downloaded in your external sdcard
Swipe to flash it.
This should work
OR
Try flashing back your stock firmware via fastboot mode
