Good night ... if something is spelled wrong, sorry, I'm not fluent ..
I have a Moto g6 plus bricked and nothing I've done so far has helped .. the device is not starting .. it is calling without pressing the power after putting it in the charger and log in
he has Flashing_locked and can't get flash in any ROM
I saw in some places about trying with EDL mode, but I didn't find how to activate or that I would have to unlock with an image created in some BOX ... but I also didn't find any to try
someone help me with a solution

shows that your phone's Android has an A/B-system layout ( what means basically 2 versions of Android are there on, the initial one - named: slot _a - and its update - named: slot _b ) and phone can't get successfully booted in Android's updated version - slot _b: the update process obviously miserably failed, will say didn't complete, for whatever reason. And unfortunately actually the corrupted updated version - slot _b - is set as the one to get booted in.
You can try to
reset slot to boot into as slot _a
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot --set-active=a
fastboot reboot
re-flash phone's latest OTA or Stock ROM.

Use Lenovo rescue (LMSA) and restore
and if LMSA is not able to fix it, there might be a hardware issue , maybe corrupted ram? so i'd say return it for warranty.
the system should not suddenly stop working without manually breaking some stuff
does not work, fastboot single partition error
The LMSA does not work, a single partition fastboot error appears and new updated rom's stock. someone help me!
I have the same problem. Tried to install a stock rom, then i did "fastboot oem lock", now i get the message "your device is corrupted. It cannot be trusted and will not boot". In the Fastboot Flash Mode it shows "Flashing... Locked".
Tried to run Fastboot oem unlock <Code Provided>, but i get the error:

I took it to the Motorola technical assistance and they replaced the Logic Board. Coudn't find another solution.
It all started when I wanted to root my phone so that I could move more apps to my sd card. I followed this tutorial: https://www.theworldsbestandworst.com/2020/06/root-motorola-moto-e5-play/ but the version of SuperSU they had me install bricked my phone (My phone would freeze on startup at the t-mobile logo).
So, having done so in the past, I knew I could flash the stock firmware and hopefully get my phone back to working condition. I tried using two different downloads of the stock firmware. One from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/moto-e5-firmware/files/JAMES/XT1921-3/ and one from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...he-e5-play-xt1921-3-t-mobile-variant.3839675/ (it's the link first given by timjames474). For both downloads I used the batch file method of flashing described here:
because RSDLite wasn't detecting my device. However, both of the times I tried flashing the stock firmware my phone worked normally but was unable to detect my sim card.
Was I using the wrong download of stock firmware? Is my phone broken for good? Please help me.

The firmware you are using should be correct.
getvar say baseband is missing
Code:
(bootloader) version-baseband: <not found>
and both system slots are INVALID
Not a good sign.
You didn't see any flashing errors?
RSD Lite doesn't work with Windows 10, do you have a Windows 7 machine?
Try posting the service.xml text in https://kfhost.net/flashfile
and compare with your batch file.

The batch file I had was slightly different than the one produced by the website you had me use. I replaced the batch file's contents and flashed the firmware again. I got these errors (not sure if 'image signed with key bad key' is an error so I'm including it just incase):

I got the same bad key errors when I flashed the firmware with my first batch file. After this flash the phone still works normally besides not being able to read the sim card.

I did have twrp on my phone before the flash
Here's the servicefile.xml, the firmware doesn't have a service.xml:

Devices with a/b system slots don't have a recovery partition it's part of the boot.img now
so now when you install Twrp or magisk the boot partition must be changed.

Yes, my bad
Try just
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
Tried it, each command comes back "OKAY". My phone still can't read the sim card though.

If it's XP or 7 you could try RSD Lite
With the current machine, have you updated adb files?
Tried different USB ports?

The other pc is also windows 10 .
I'm using the most current platform-tools.
I'll try using other usb ports but my computer doesn't have trouble connecting to my phone so I'm not sure how that'd help (or if your talking about trying to get RSD Lite to work I've already tried other usb ports).

The only time RSD Lite has worked for me with Windows 10 is if it originally shipped with 7 and was upgraded to 10.
Man any solutions? I reinstalled firmware, after unlocking bootloader then I flashed twrp and magisk using that twrp but my baseband version is unknown, IMEI unknown.
but my Wi-Fi is working fine, Can someone guide me through with it?

Looks like you have this version
XT1921-3_JAMES_TMO_8.0.0_OCPS27.91-150-5-1-3_cid21_subsidy-MPCS_RSU_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
this is the newest version
XT1921-3_JAMES_TMO_8.0.0_OCPS27.91-150-14-13_cid21_subsidy-TMO_RSU_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
lolinet mirrors - firmware, software, iso etc.
lolinet mirrors - powered by h5ai
mirrors.lolinet.com
but that shouldn't have anything do with your problem, unless you have been flashing a different version than 27.91-150-5-1-3
The invalid slots are worrisome, often with this problem, a blankflash is needed to fix it.
Are you using flashfile.xml to get the correct flash commands?

Man I used downloaded this firmware from lolinet, used all the necessary commands but still its not working, and yes I used flashfile.xml
I relocked the bootloader using "fastboot oem lock" and I've lost the OS. When I use LMSA and try the rescue option it fails in the Flashing section before it can load the OS image file. It fails every time during Flashings before reaching 50%. Any suggestions?

I cant change OEM unlock setting since the OS wont boot. When I start the device I get "No valid operating system could be found. The device will not boot."
PS D:\platform-tools> .\fastboot oem unlock "UNIQUE_KEY"

I followed the video and created the "servicefile.bat" file. But when I run it, I get the below message. All the flash commands fail. Is it a bootloader locked issue? But the fastboot unlock command doesn't work and the OS does not load, for me to unlock.

Yes and I will start the download and it will sit at 0% for hours I click on settings then it says program not responding
Huh, why did the os disappear after relocking the bootloader..
What did you perform before relocking the bootloader?
ChazzMatt said:
You have to boot to the bootloader screen manually, using the volume + power button trick.
Once on the bootloader screen, when you plug you phone into a PC with ADB installed, it should recognize it.
Then, flash the full stock firmware, from the link above. It's Brazil Marshmallow firmware with December 2016 Security Update. I don't know of any newer right now. You have Brazil XT1225, so that Brazil firmware is compatible with your phone.
But with locked bootloader you have to flash exact same version or newer made for your phone, and you have to enter the commands correctly or you may brick your phone. (When I flashed from Puerto Rico Kitkat to India Lollipop, I messed up. But since my bootloader was unlocked, I just reflashed again, when I realized my mistake.)
If you are not sure of the steps, google Motorola firmware ADB. Here's a couple of excellent tutorials:
How to Manually Official Firmware on any Motorola Device
https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...force-how-to-manually-flash-official-t3282077
I use this one above. IGNORE where it says you need an unlocked bootloader, because he's talking about cross-region flashing which you are NOT doing. You are flashing your own region firmware.
This one below is by rootjunky and he while he also discusses RSDLite, later in the article he says ADB/fastboot are best as RSDLite can stall.
Motorola Firmware Restore Plus Unbrick
http://www.rootjunky.com/motorola-firmware-restore/
If you get your phone running again, I suggest you unlock the bootloader. There are ways to hide an unlocked bootloader (like Magisk), if that's why you locked it back... But an unlocked bootloader + root makes it YOUR phone and much easier to recover from disasters.

This technique is for Motorola devices so it may work, I'm not sure I've ever owned one of those devices.
Get back to me if it works..
Hi all,
I have a Moto G6Plus with a locked bootloader. I have had it from new, bought SIM free from a retailer in a sealed box. It went back whilst under warranty stuck in a bootloop following a failed OTA update. It has worked flawlessly since then. It's now out of warranty and no longer supported so i figured I would install a custom ROM. I have some experience, having rooted and custom ROM'd HTCs in the past, as well as my previous G6 plus.
So here's the situation. I am using Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon. I have also tried a Win 10 box and Linux mint 19.3, 3 different machines I have USB debugging and the allow bootloader unlocking options set in 'Developer Options' menu
Phone is recognised by ADB , and ADB reboot bootloader does boot the phone as expected.
Fastboot devices recognises the device, showing it's serial number with the word fastboot next to it. If I fastboot reboot or fastboot reboot bootloader, then both these commands work.
2 of the 3 machines report an error on fastboot getvar all. The oldest machine does output the following:

Ok thanks. I had already found this but not run it as it seemed to be not compatible with my devise according to the device checker. However as advised I have run it and it did indeed improve the situation. This is Windows only software. Previously I got no output on my Windows machine when running fastboot getvar all. I now get the following output, which has changed from the original I posted above. However, fastboot oem get_unlock_data still fails...

Use this thread to reflash stock rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/evert-stock-firmware-return-to-stock.3872738/ (Do all the steps, even the ones with optional on the side) And then try to get the unlock data again. Update here with results
Hey gang. I unlocked a motorola g play 2021 rooted it and tried to flash twrp onto it whch didnt work. So I flashed the boot.img file and it restarted as a new phone would. The next morning. bear with me here. It states no OS present to boot. So I restart the phone to the bootloader and it states the bootloader is locked and now will only restart to the bootloader. When I try to flash the recovery or boot image it just stated bootloader permission denied then it fails. I have been flashing samsungs for years with no problems and when there is I can usually solve it easily. But ths damn motorola has me stumped.. Here is the getvar all info. Any help possible would be greatly appreciated. Guess Im still more of an amature then i thought. Please advise. Thanks

Try flashing manually
LMSA should have a copy of firmware in C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\RomFiles
Or you can download it from
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/guamna/official/MetroPCS/
XT2093-3_GUAMNA_METROPCS_10_QZAS30.Q4-39-57-2-2-1-1-3-3_subsidy-MPCS_RSU_QCOM_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Unzip
First try
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot
It might boot normally
if not try
Code:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
reboot bootloader
then try LMSA again

Try flashing manually
LMSA should have a copy of firmware in C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\RomFiles
Or you can download it from
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/guamna/official/MetroPCS/
XT2093-3_GUAMNA_METROPCS_10_QZAS30.Q4-39-57-2-2-1-1-3-3_subsidy-MPCS_RSU_QCOM_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Unzip
First try
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot
It might boot normally
if not try
Code:

No good. on the first method.
C:\adb>fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
target reported max download size of 798763008 bytes
sending 'partition' (37 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.009s]
writing 'partition'...
(bootloader) Validating 'gpt.default.xml'
(bootloader) flash permission denied
(bootloader) Cancelling 'gpt.default.xml'
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.167s
No good on the 2nd method
Permission denied
FAILED(remote failure)
and the LMSA gets as far as 50% depending on which time I ran it and states
Flashboot Flash single partition
Flash failed please try again
Could it be something to do with the A/B Partition.? I flashed Magisk on one of them and it restarted. I went to bed and got up the next morning and here we are.
Hi I'm Steve I'm new here and I'm just learning how to root my phone and be a developer so if anybody could help me I really appreciate it
Is there a blank flash.zip yet for this phone? Usually I've seen mirrors.lolinet.com include blankflash files with each variant of moto phones. This one is an exception. Or can anyone make one perhaps?
I transferred the fastboot.exe out of the LMSA or RSA file, because I noticed it's something like 7.5mb, and seemed to gain extra fastboot functionality. This was when I encountered, maybe not exactly the same, but a similar issue with relocking the bootloader.
I used the command (after copying the Lincoln log of a fastboot executable to my working directory):
fastboot -b flash boot boot.img
And by some stroke of luck, it booted into the OS. I know that command looks weird, but I was so frustrated, I just started going down the list and trying everything I could. If you haven't tried switching boot slots, you may give that a whirl as well. I do hope this helps.
My setup is an old dual core Intel, with windows 10 version 20H1....one of the older windows 10 releases.
