LYA-L0C stumped for sure - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello ladies and gentlemen. last year I obtained a mate 20 pro of the LYA-L0C flavor and for those that may not know it's the canandian model but to the best of my knowledge almost identical to the L09 and L29. Being that I'm in the US I'll be stuck on emui 9.0.0 with Android 9 forever if I just let it be. I'm just trying to figure out with the highest possible firmware version I can update to without hurting the device or messing anything up and also can't it be firmware from one of the other two variants which I think I read somewhere. I've already dug through the Canadian owners thread and really didn't come up with anything. I'm under the impression I could order a bell SIM card but don't wanna spend any extra cash. I've done one dload update with a downloaded file that completed successfully but didn't change anything I probably just had the wrong firmware. I'll include a screenshot below of where I'm at. Thanks in advance to anybody that can help.
P.s. bootloader is locked because I missed the window.

Hi, am I the only one without Oreo update available?

Hi everyone first off I'm new so sorry if I can't find the answer or posted in wrong section. But I have t mobile note 8 n950u. 7.1.1 baseband was n950usqu3bra9 but now it's different n950usqu3ara1 n I'll explain.
Oreo update has been out since may 23 and I purchased my note 8 a few days ago from used phone shop and they switched my carrier to metro on the spot. It's not unlocked. I didn't have the update available but I know it's definitely around nowadays so I have been looking for it around the web and thru the forums trying to find a way to update. I seen a video pointing out to download an update and try it and it originally failed. I remember the update ended in crc3 if that matters and since then my baseband has changed. I believe because I'm on metro that I won't get the update regularly l like I should.
My question is does everyone else already have oreo already from t mobile? And also can someone point me to somewhere or help me find a way to get Oreo on my device please I really want the update and freaking out because I think I changed my baseband n ruined my chances of getting it.
Any help if appreciated and thank you. Ps I would need links to what files to download as I'm not good with these things and really don't wanna destroy my phone.
hows your battery life so far??

Hi there,
I have the same phone as yours except its TA-1021, I tried to flash an update from the XDA forum link it soft bricked my phone. I had to do a lot of research to unbrick my phone and it worked. Anyways the answer to your question is Nokia is currently working on Android Pie 9.0. However, I noticed that you can register any Nokia phone for Beta testing there new software, however I do not recommend it as it is unstable. However, you can go to this website and get the new security updates for your phone, maybe that might trigger an OTA update for your phone. I haven't tested it, but make sure you do your own research.
AND REMEMBER DO NOT UPDATE ANY OTA UPDATES THROUGH SD CARD, IT WILL SOFT BRICK YOUR PHONE. IF BRICKED SENT ME A MESSAGE ON XDA I WILL GUIDE YOU TO UNBRICK YOUR PHONE.
Thank You

Advice needed - UK Mate 20 Pro flash to non-Vodafone version of Android

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around Google for some way to change the Android version on my Mate 20 Pro from the Vodafone (UK) version that it originally shipped with, to a completely stock Huawei UK version. Mainly to stop the constant want of bloatware app updates that Vodafon want to push to me despite the phone being unlocked and not on Voadfone anymore.
I've followed some directions huaweiadvices(dot)com, and I belive I got the correct firmware download from FirmwareFinder (I can't post links, but will PM them to anyone who can help). None of the methods shown in the above article worked for me, in anyway. I'm either getting a "file not found message" or it just not doing anything at all.
The version I'm on is EMUI 10.0.0.196(C432E7R1P5). I've got a Drive link that I will share that's got screengrabs from the phone with details.
This is the first time I've tried to flash a phone, I'm completely lost and need some help; so if this is on the completly wrong board or has been asked before, I apologise. If anyone can point me in the direction I need to go, or let me know if its even possible, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

Help flashing s9 plus to unlocked firmware

Hey everyone, first post here so please take it easy .. I've read a few older posts but having trouble knowing I have the most correct updated files.
I'm generally not the worst with techy stuff but I'm needing some basic walk through to flash my phone to the unlocked version of someone can help me out.
I have a US cellular branded s9+. I recently transferred it over to total wireless.. And it seems I've gotten most things working for the most part. However, I lose Data when making phone calls. So even though my volte setting is turned on it appears it's glitchkng up... I'm assuming because it's the uscc firmware. Based in what I've read on reddit it seems flashing to u1 is the best bet to fix issues like this.
I've read some threads and I'm not really sure which version of Odin I need and which firmware is correct.. If anyone can help this rookie out I'd be greatly appreciative.. And maybe confirm flashing is the correct way to go about this??
Thanks in advance!
All u need to do is flash to TMobile and your all good to go. I was using a sprint variant of it and I would also lose data.
Flashed it and now I have all the perks Wifi Calling / VoLte
