Why hide the notch when we can use the entire screen real estate!. :victory:
DSB i.e. Dual Status Bar mod is available for all custom roms.
Both sides of the notch are well used.
Its constantly updating as we speak. @Jaiii is the owner of the work, so all the credit goes to him.
We hv also created a magisk modules (available only on telegram channel).
So far we have created twrp flashable files for below custom roms:
Evo x
PE Plus
CrDroid
PA - Paranoid Android (not by us but the credit goes to the respective owner)
Nusantara (only left side DSB)
Lineage OS official
In case you want to return to stock status bar just flash Disabler (see attachment) or you can also dirty flash your rom.

I use latest Pixel experience +. Outside I can't see the display of the sun is strong [emoji17]

Have you tested the rom?
Tested a bit, looks really great! (Installed the jan02 rom and after the fingerprint fix)
Use the stock Google camera and working good, taking pictures (sometimes out of flash, but avarage good), recording video in 4k without problem.
When make a call the phone go to "do not disturb", after the call get back to normal.
In the rom have minimal usefully options to mod, by the way we have a very good and simple AOSP experience.
Only used 30 minutes, but the battery only fall 3% (I know, no syncing a lot of apps, only installed and checked a few, but it's good)
Don't test the vulcan api, because don't install gapps, just only some apps for testing.
So thanks, I think this rom on my top 3!

There's no official thread at the moment AFAIK. I'm sure it'll be up once the testing is done.
But the test builds are mentioned above in case you want to give it a try.

What about volte. And can you click hdr in google camera. Someother changes from cm.
No other changes...pretty good, but not as lineage currently

everything working fine camera video volte out of the box xender(for file sharing) substratum battery life very good . I used it since 4 days faced not a single reboot. very stable.
sometime flashlight from toggle not working and with camera also.

Nope, I just flashed the latest fw 8.8.30 then the treble enable zip file followed by the rom .. maybe I will try it again thank you.
Ps there are still the double voice while phone calling and the switch camera which requires 30 sec bugs in this rom?

Before you flash Treble, you need to have the right firmware/MIUI rom flashed. The MN2 Treble thread should give you an indication what is the minimum version to use. I used the latest 8.8.30 EU multi rom and that works fine with Treble. I had no luck with any of the P GSI images though. They all had some kind of shortcoming that was a deal breaker for a daily driver. Most notably due to most if not all P GSI images being rooted, could not get Magisk to hide it well enough to get Google Pay to work. I used up to the latest (v 17) Magisk image that works with Treble. I also had an other app I need for work (Concur) that would not work for the same reason. There is also overheating and battery drain issues with most GSI images. I tried many over a day and a half of stuffing around with Treble. I am now back on the above mentioned EU rom. Treble is too young for my needs just yet. Better luck to you.

The telephoto lens seems not to be working in this version, while it strangely did with the one of the wrong link. If I cover it with my finger and switch between 1x and 2x I can still see everything through the viewfinder.
Btw, GREAT work, thank you a lot!
Tested on HAVOC, and it is working.
I have found one bug: selfie camera resolution is 1920x1440 while orginal on MIUI rom is 5184x3880.
Everything else is working, realy nice work.

What has been done:
1. Maximum brightness and window selection during a call.
2. Square photo.
3 Vibration when unlocking and unlocking fingerprint after a reboot.
4 Weather in the curtain notifications.
5. MiuiHome launcher

I said several times, I repeat, to make a mod for a stable firmware, you do not need a deodex, and this will already be the same Xiaomi.eu. I am on latest eu 9.6.27 and i don't use magisk so cant use the module fir the mod hence request you to please provide the mode to flash via twrp like you previously did so that i can flash it on my poco f1

As we knew that the GSI has been installed successfully on Lancelot ( Redmi 9/9 prime board name ) and there will be offical GUIDE available soon. So I thought that we need an open field to discuss GSI custom rom and which is the most stable rom that's give us a perfect experience on our device through GSI. So here is what we will discuss:

For now I can't tell if it safe for your Mediatek processor. It's testing booting so if you don't have enough experience to deal with this don't rush until the customers who booted there give us thoughts!

I use aosp now and there is only 1 bug what i found which is the screen brightness control. But i guess it can be fixed.

All respect to your information that you provide us. What about battery drain and ram optimization ?

You can not received incoming call also...
How to fix screen brightness??any idea?
I can recive calls. Just tested it when i installed the rom.

Battery is a lot better. Ram management too. I can swap between apps without reloading them and mine is a 3/32 device

Yes you heard right....
I am able to dual boot .....
No need to distroy miui rom to use a gsi...
You can use both... together..m
That's mean one reboot you can go gsi and another reboot you are in gsi rom..:highfive::highfive:

because there is no "Treble-overlay.apk" for redmi 9 yet. We need to contact with the roms developers ( such as Havoc os or else ...)

In havock os 3.8 is not detected my headphones..

Yes...tnx a lot to give me the idea that what is gsi and how to boot........
Now we can use custom rom without recovery not root and even data loss

I try 4 gsi rom and all give two common problem
1.brightness not work..
2.headphones not work...
For the reason 1 the battery drain is high enough...if we solve those problem....the gsi will the best custom rom for our redmi 9......

Brightness problem solve....
I use CAOS gsi rom...and their is same brightness problem....
When slide the brightness slider then I noticed that in middle position screen dime little bit...
Then I slowly sold my finger in middle position....
And it work.....I can control brightness......
Try this truck on your gsi....and report me:silly::silly:...

I disagree that it's unuseful because I've been using phh's GSI for a week and apart from the brightness bug which is device specific and fixable with an overlay (system is ro!), it's quite smooth and fast. What will a maintainer do with a device without kernel sources? Also people need to realize that with the direction AOSP development is taking, I actually think GSIs will be the last remaining form of device customization at OS level until custom recoveries catch up.
