I couldn't post this in the phone's section so im posting it here.
I also can't post links so im sorry you have to google things
Easy steps for dummies:
1) download the latest firmware for it from sam mobile
2) download odin 3.13
BY THE WAY! Go to odin settings tab and tick off the auto reboot.
3) extract the firmware and put everything in its case except for home.csc
4)get your phone, go to settings > go to device info > go to software info > spam the buld number button till the message that you are a developer appears > go back > go to developer settings wich appeared bellow device info, > tick oem unlock on and usb debugging on
5) power off your phone by long pressing the power button and pressing the power off icon
6) hold volume down, power and home buttons at the same time till a warning appears, press volume up to go into download mode
7) connect phone to pc throught usb cable
8) go to ur pc and press START in odin
9) wait
Congratulations. You flashed your phone for the first time!
Now we're going to do the rooting.
Complete the setup, go to a browser and download Magisk Manager. In app it may show that you can update the magisk manager. Do that.
1) go to your pc and connect the phone to it throught usb
2) the ap file you had in your firmware? Copy that to the phone's SD card or internal memory if you have double the size of the ap or more.
3) go into magisk manager and click install magisk, click next on the first tab, on the second tab click the "patch" button and select the ap you just copied to your phone.
4) click next and wait for it to patch it
5) after patching, move the file to your pc and flash the phone throught odin(only the file wich is something like "magisk-patched" or something in the AP section. Nothing else in odin) and press start
6)Wait
7) boot phone up
8) go to a browser and download Magisk Manager again
9) it will ask you to install something, do it. After that it will restart
10) Wait
CONGRATULATIONS! You just rooted your phone.
This is only tested on Samsung Galaxy j5 2017 (SM-J530F)

[Q] Need files to update firmware

My Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 3.2 is stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Tab screen. I figured if I try to change/update the firmware I might be able to get past it. I tried so many different things to fix this using Odin. I found an article with these steps:
Firmware Update Steps:
Run Samsung P7510 Downloader.
Check these options: Re-Partition, Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time.
Click PIT button and select: android_fastboot_emmc_full_p4_16G_32G.pit
Put the Tablet into dwonload mode: ( Press Volume Down + Power for 10 sec ) then press Volume Up to enter Dwonload mode.
Connect USB cable to phone and PC.
Make sure that the program has detect the phone.
Click Start button to flash PIT file and wait to see PASS! word on the program.
Now click on Reset button and uncheck this option: Re-Partition.
Click BOOTLOADER button and select: BOOTLOADER_P7510xxxxx_CL317542.tar.md5
Click PDA button and select: CODE_P7510xxxxx_CL317542_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Click CSC button and select: CSC_P7510Oxxxxx.tar.md5
Remove battery off and reinsert it then put the phone into download mode again.
Connect USB cable to phone and PC.
Make sure that the program has detect the phone.
Click Start button to and wait to see PASS! word on the program.
After phone rebooted do full reset by this code: *2767*3855#
My dilema, where do I get the necessary files. I searched and all I keep getting are more links with the same instructions and file names. If I can fix the issue without doing the update, that would be awesome. I messed up when I tried to put a ROM with ICS on it, this one (AOKP_ICSROM/aokp_p4wifi_milestone).....Please help.
When you get stuck at that screen all you need to do is boot into recovery, wipe data/cache/dalvik then reflash the rom. Just happened to me with an ICS rom too.

If you still have a good image on your tablet you can indeed boot into recovery and reinstall that one:
- hold left volume button down while booting
- Now you should enter a menu, left for flashmenu, right for odin download mode
- press left volume button to select flash menu
- press right volume button to select
- wipe data/factory reset
- install zip from sdcard
If you do not have a correct firmware file on your device download it here:

I download this stock rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651794&page=2

Installation Guide
1) Make sure you have the drivers installed
2) Extract ur firmware it to get its content which would be a .tar
3) Download Odin3 v1.85. Then, extract it to get these two required files – Odin3 v1.85.exe and Odin3.ini. Do NOT delete the .ini file since it’s required too. When asked in step 6 below, open Odin by double clicking on the Odin3 v1.85.exe file.
4) Disconnect your tablet if it’s connected to PC. Power it off. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
5) Now, put the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Download Mode (also called Odin mode) — press and hold, until Samsung Galaxy logo appears — these keys together: Volume_DOWN + Power.
6) Wait till you a screen with options to boot into recovery or download (odin) mode.
7) Press Volume Up key to boot into download mode.
8) Open Odin (from step 3) — Odin3 v1.85.exe. Admin privileges would be required!
9) Connect your Galaxy tab 10.1 tablet to PC now. You should get the message “Added! !” under the Odin’s message box in the bottom left. And you should also see COM port with a number in Yellow. If you don’t get this message, then probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve the right drivers installed!
10) Select these files in Odin at respective tabs.
11) Click the PDA Tab, and select the big .tar file “P7510XEUKL2_P7510XXKL2_HOME.tar.md5″
Important! Make sure these 2 check-boxes are selected: Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. Also, leave the Re-Partition check-box clear (blank), as we are only using a .tar file or PDA file to flash.
12) Double check everything said in step 11.
13) Now, hit the START button to begin the flashing process. When it finishes, your tablet will automatically reboot — and you can unplug the cable when Galaxy logo appears. Plus, you’ll get a PASS (with green background) message in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. If it’s red and with FAIL written over it, the process flashing process wasn’t successful, Try again, and take care to complete the whole process without any break whatsoever.

How do you get the drivers that work when the Tab is booted to ODIN? I've tried everything I can find and have been unable to get the correct drivers installed.

Install Kies and it should install the drivers. I'm pretty sure you can download them from samsung.com too. But when you use odin make sure that Kies is completely closed (even check in processes in task manager) or odin won't work

[Q] Cannot boot into booloader - Download mode instead

Hello everyone!
I have tried researching before asking for help, but I don't seem to find a solution.
I have today partitioned my SD (when will I ever stop fiddling I wonder? ) using CWM recovery.
I have lost access to my SD Card and cannot mount it any longer.
I have Googled today, and the advice was to flash a stock rom again ( I9100XWLPF_I9100OXILP6_I9100XXLPX_HOME.tar) and use the "clear storage" option.
So, I flashed 4.0.3 stock again.
Whenever I follow the steps highlighted here:
1. Shut the POWER OFF, take the battery out and put it back again.
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Briefly Press and release the Power button
4. A menu will then appears that let you allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Quickly Press and release the Power button
7. Select Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
I get into download mode instead.
What am I doing wrong? Why can't I get into the bootload menu I need?
Thanks ever so much to whoever offers help, it's much appreciated.
Fastboot isn't in the galaxy s2. Recovery and download modes are the only modes on this device.
You downloaded a stock ROM, which is most probably a .zip file. Extract it on your PC, you'll get a .tar file (don't extract any further).
Download Odin3 on PC.
Boot phone into download mode. Connect phone to PC, and open Odin. A yellow box should show which indicates that Odin has detected your phone. (If not, you need to download the drivers, search and you'll get them).
Select PDA button, and choose the .tar file and flash. Make sure repartition is unticked. Only things ticked should be f.reset (or similar) and auto reboot.

g313ml rooted!

After reading everywhere, i found a way to root my Ace4 gm313ml.
I found the instructions on a blog, i'm not sure of the rules for posting links (if someone can enlighten me i'll appreciate it) but i will put his name at the end of the post.
also i'm a new poster so i'm unaware of the structure of a post. Be nice please.
I tried two times and both times worked. For the second time i did a full wipe, reload stock rom to be sure. both times worked fine.
Things you need:
Samsung USB Drivers.
Odin (i downloaded the latest)
iRoot (latest from website)
Stock Rom (for a clean install)
This file. (i can't post links yet!!! )
http : // www . mediafire . com / download / q9ua7opj8wjk9i7 / G313_ALL_ROOT_BY_DAVIDGR15 . zip
For a clean install:
1. Back Up, check for usb debugging, battery charged, etc.
2. Turn off your phone and put it on recovery mode (home, vol up, power)
3. Wipe Data/Factory Reset - Restart and config.
4. Turn off your phone and put it on download mode (home, vol down, power)
5. Open odin as admin, plug your usb cable and flash the stock rom
6. Restart (if you got stuck on the boot animation, recovery mode and factory reset again)
To root:
1. Back Up, check for usb debugging, battery charged, etc.
2. Turn off your phone and put it on download mode (home, vol down, power)
3. Open odin as admin, plug your usb cable, click on AP and load the G313 ROOT.tar file (it's inside the G313_ALL_ROOT_BY_DAVIDGR15.zip) and flash it.
4. After the phone restart we open iRoot on the PC and we let them install a daemon and some apps and wait for the green "Root" button
5 Wait for the phone to restart and the iRoot to say "Root Completed".
Thats it. the phone is rooted but with a chinese supersu. so install a new supersu in your language BEFORE you uninstall the chinese supersu, install link2sd, uninstall the chinese supersu (a blue icon with a white horse) and change the new supersu to "system app"

The Easiest Way to ROOT and Installing TWRP on A320Y (DS)

ok guys, this is the easiest method for u guys who own a320y (ds) , maybe works with a320f version.
i have read many threads here according to gaining root for this device, but i got problem with twrp after flashing rom with odin. twrp cant mount /data
okay, here is the solution for u guys who dont have external sd card.
(READ IT CAREFULLY)
1. Download stock firmware related to your device (in this case, a320y/DS. but i think i t will working fine for a320f version)
2. Download Latest odin version from here https://odindownload.com/, and intall on your pc
3. Make sure u have adb installed on your pc, and also have samsung usb driver installed too. u can find it here
4. connect your device to pc on download mode (hold volume down , home, and power button until you see blue screen and press volume up button to go to download mode)

----------------------------------
9. when its done, disconnect your device, and connect it again.
