I know there's guides to cloning apk files but is it possible to:
1. Clone a server sided game
2. Edit the clone to play offline only
3. Alter the stuff inside the cloned game
Kinda like a sandbox mode that doesn't affect hacking the actual game itself.
I just want to play offline with all characters and equipment and save all the files for my personal use in case, like most games eventually, are discontinued and no longer playable.

Hi,
First let me answer your question: it isn't possible, because the "integrity check" is done server-side (to avoid licence emulations and stuff like that).
And what you're asking for is forbidden here, you're asking for what's called a warez (a hacked version of a software).
See XDA's rules : https://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81
And I know how frustrating it is when a game is gone just because the company shuts down their servers, it's really infuriating, but still, we aren't allowed to provide help with hacking and warez.
Have a good day

Is there at least a way to decompile and save the "spirtes" and animations (or anything in the game) for a personal archive before game is gone forever?

thanks
Dave
Id love to help, but I don't have the knowledge to, and if she's saavy, then she's probably rooted, and might actually browse these forums. She'll also likely turn off location services to conserve battery, like I bet most people do. If its not open source, im pretty sure it'd be against this forum's rules.
Sent from my Liberated Droid 2
it is rooted but thats only because i nrooted it for her and i did ask for permision to alter the app
Modifying closed source apk are usually frown upon. Using apps to track other people unknowingly can be illegal on some places. For those reason I decided to close this thread.

I have a question regarding hacked applications (especially games) for android. It's easy to get them from the web (sometimes all you have to do is to google the name of the game and add ".apk", or "market militia" (is he some kind of a guru there? he's everywhere)).
But my questions are: does it often happen that those games contain viruses?
And why sometimes you can just install the apk of the e.g. paid gameloft games straight from the phone, without even disconnecting wifi to avoid authorization, and sometimes there's an extremely long explanation of what to do, I mean disconnecting, having the phone rooted etc?
Please don't get angry because of those questions. I'm just curious )
Thanks in advance for your replies.
This forum does not support the pirating of apps, so it would be irresponsible to answer your questions.
I'm not asking you to support piracy, nor am I asking for links to any files or warez sites.
As far as I know, asking for some general information about modified .apk files is not a crime.
Topic *BUMP*
Hello everyone.
I've just came up with this thought and I wanted to share it with you. We always hear about how Android is more prone to malware than, say, iOS.
But I'd like to know why. I'm pretty sure that, before releasing an app on the Market (oops, Play Store!), Google makes a thorough validation of it. I find it difficult to believe that Google's guidelines are less stringent than Apple's.
Why, then, or better, whence the malware?
The best answer I could give myself is that malevolent apps are modified versions of pirated software that people download from the Internet. Like, a guy downloads the pirated version of Plant versus Zombies thinking that it's going to be the exact replica of the original (paid) version, but inside the downloaded app there's actually a malevolent piece of code that, then, ends on the webzines.
Hence, two questions for you guys:
Where's the Android malware coming from?
How can Google stop it?
Thank you a lot for your attention, I hope the answers will be numerous!

Well, I've never seen malware that was made from an actual app. They are usually small separate apps with familiar icon or name and (sometimes) tons of temp files so that Asphalt7.apk won't be the size of 123 kb.
I'm not sure that Google checks anything before people report about it. There are numerous hello world apps there
Because androids source code can be seen by anyone it makes android an easier target than ios who keep their code a secret.
Google run a general check, they call their software "bouncer", but if the apps don't do anything suspicious until on an actual device it can miss the malware.
How could they stop all malware? They can't, even the very closed ios cannot stop all malware, but the user has ultimate control because we can see exactly what apps can access before installing them and so it makes it easier to spot suspect apps.

Hello, Xda-members!
I've developed a game for Windows Phone devices: The Walking Cat, a funny logical game, that combines fun, cats and mind games
If you find a bug, please, send me a message about it and describe the bug and actions to reproduce it.
The Walking Cat supports all Windows Phone devices, starting from WP7 and up to WP8.1.
Get it in Windows Phone marketplace: http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=7246c620-f6ee-4a7b-bee8-c9f9f96890d6
Here is the description of my game:
Use your mind to trick Zombiecat and get Captain Puffy to Miss Purr-Purr!
Tired of games, where you need to aim or shoot fast?
Ready for a smart thinking game?
You’ll see the cutest and funniest characters, you’ve ever seen. It’s just so mi-mi-mi!
You’ll go though 230 (!!!) levels!
The rules are simple, but the game is hard.
All you need to know is that Zombiecat moves two cells in a turn, but it is stupid.
Zombiecat always goes straight to you. When he decides where to go – he always prefers to move in the horizontal direction (left or right).
You can use walls, traps, teleports and obstacles to get away from Zombiecat.
If you can’t pass a certain level, don’t be upset – the game has a built-in hint and solution system that would help you.

PS. The game is free, just some Adduplex ads included.
Please read the forum rules, and make it clear that the game is fully playable in trial mode if that is the case.
Advertising paid apps in the forum links is not permitted (it's basically SPAM). Either include a free link to the app or pay XDA to host your ads for you.

PS. Btw, I don't want to advertise on XDA, just want to find some beta-testers before I launch the game. It's hidden from market and can be accessed only using direct link (see post #1).

Hello forum; I have used your post a lot for many years but I had never been encouraged to write anything; First of all, I would like to apologize if someone offends that the first post I publish is a petition; but a little story below
The company PIQ was previously dedicated to developing sports products that used an application and due to the covid 19 pandemic they have simply gone bankrupt and many of the people who bought their devices simply cannot use it anymore.
PIQ
PIQ. 13,521 likes. Intelligence leads to Victory Get your Winning Factors with PIQ ROBOT
www.facebook.com
The application uses an authentication system with an SMS code to the cell phone where it is installed and all its servers are closed; which leaves all its users swimming in nowhere; I have read in various forums that some athletes have lost up to 5 years of training history which is really unfortunate; (Although it is also regrettable not to make a backup of your files it is not the case of the post)
I'm not sure if the app cannot be downloaded from the play store so it will be put here:
Mobitee and PIQ for Android - APK Download
Download Mobitee and PIQ apk 3.1.7.5005 for Android. The Mobitee and PIQ mobile app provides unique insights to golfer of every level
apkpure.com
The application cannot be logged in or if the athlete loses their phone they will not be able to use the device again; with which it would be good to have any of the following options:
1. Is there any way in which you can bypass the login; it wouldn't matter if you couldn't track the statistics if you could at least use the hardware;
2. Is there any way in which the data packet sent by the NFC sensors can be used in another APP ???
finally; the application could be modified so that it does not work with an API on a private server, but rather save the local statistics:
I've been playing around a bit; I'm not really an expert; I have decompiled a couple of files and it seems to me that the one that might be of interest is called AccountManager.java located in
\ com \ mobitee \ base \ core \ managers
I appreciate it if someone can give me a hand since my knowledge is limited; Could you suggest to me where to start reading to get to some point:
Several users and even brands that worked with the company joined to request that they submit an open-source code or a GitHub project but I have not been able to find a clear answer to the issue yet.
Welcome to XDA
So you're saying it's a side loaded apk?
Here it is uploaded, Thanks for asking!
Yeah you didn't answer my question.
I don't download any unknown apks and very rarely side load and then only if vetted.
Hopefully someone here will help you...

No worries.
That should be a warning in itself. Getting away from this app is the best solution. The data may just be lost.
I lost 2 websites because I used Google Picasso to create them. Wasted time.

That sucks. Was that in the EULA?
You may have legal recourse. Try nice first.
There probably is a way to trick it by editing it's code but that's beyond my capabilities.
However this is a site full of hawkers...

I know, Maybe somebody could help here...
On the other hand, I can not find EULA since the page is down now, but on the web page too many times a banner says "unlimited updates for life"; I think those guys were pretty confident to not go to bankruptcy
I can check for something on the web cache...

Sounds like a lost cause if the site is down.
Sometimes you need to copy your data any way you can even writing it down by hand.
Been there, lost data...
Any Help?
