I really have nothing against Aukey, I've been using their products for years but this was surprising and disappointing to me. Last night i plugged my phone in and it wouldn't charge. Upon inspecting the USB tip came off while sitting inside my charger. It wasn't due to mishandling as the end that goes into the charger stays there dormant in the wall outlet and I only plug the opposite end in to my phone when I need to so it was strange to see it break off that way. I honestly think it's part of a bad batch but I will opt for a cable with a better quality connector end going forward. It was within my return period so no problems. Other than that the cable works just fine. I will still buy from Aukey, just not this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087QK2LB2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Concerning, I've had the same happen from Aukey.
I went for some no name cable instead afterward.

Yeah these work just fine with no issues. I think the tips were poorly constructed so cheap is not always best.
good to know, thanks!

The winner who is able to locate a location where this charger can be purchased will be rewarded with....
the feeling of happiness.
The rewards are great, and the charger is awesome. Anyone up for some fun scavenger hunting?
never mind
At only 124 dollars it's a steal! http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sciphone+g2+charger&l=1
Charger
Is there actually a way of getting this charger and not buying this stupid knock off?
I also like the charger.
Man, i want this charger so bad. I take it no one has had any luck?
I tried everything, I emailed anyone and everyone who listed a phone with this silly charger. Not one of them would sell me the charger without the phone.
I even tried telling them how terrible these phone are and just send me one of the chargers from a return. It didn't work.
Charger FOUND
.....oh wait.....
I FOUND IT! muhahah
thank me guys =)

my plan was to search for the sciphone g2 on ebay and then ask the chinese seller if it possible to just buy the charger. but i cam across the above link =) yay me. any reward?
I have now managed to break 2 of the cheap headphone adaptors, and I'm starting to get a bit hacked off - not only with the cheap, fragile chinese rubbish available, but also with HTC for not bothering to stick a standard 3.5mm headphone socket in.
Can anyone recommend a decent alternative to this:

+1 for this adapter. I was lucky and my HTC Fuze came with one of these and I can use it with either phone.
What sort of size is this unit? It looks pretty bulky... wanted to try and keep the size down if possible.
it is not too large. It might be a bit larger than others but I've had mine since last year and it is still working great. My friend had one he bought from ebay and it only lasted for like 3 months and it crapped out.
the plug is about the length of your index finger and about 1.5-2" across.
mine came with the sprint diamond, back when I was with sprint. Works like a charm though.
you could try some thing like this

any possible solution to convert the device and stuff?
extra info. is that I live in Thailand
Thanks a batch !
Are you sure the device actually works? (Confirm it on another phone)
My APC charger works flawlessly.
If it does, please measure the resistance (Ohm) between the 2 middle pins on the connected cable and post the result here.

now that you mentioned the cable, i tried another cable and it worked...
my original cable was this paul-squid looking cable, i tried it with my N8 cable and it worked....
thank you so much for mentioning that word mate
I have misplaced my original micro USB cable and charger.
I just ordered and received what I think/hope is an authentic Samsung cable and charger. I have plenty of aftermarket cables but I wanted to get the real thing to increase the odds that CASUAL/No You Verizon will work when I try it.
The items look/feel real. However, on the end of the cable that has the micro USB connector that plugs into the phone, there is no pin in position #4.
(refer to this diagram for pin positions: kineteka.com/Media/Default/Page/micro-usb-b.jpg)
Can someone verify if their original cable has a pin in position #4?
I understand that pin #4 isn't actually needed for charging/syncing, but this will help me determine if what I got is actually a genuine Samsung cable.
Thanks!
There is no position 4 pin on mine.

That looks exactly like mine. I think I got the real thing.
Thanks again!
Just rooted my i9100 and 10 mins after first boot into new rom i found out that my orginal i9100 battery dies. Even if it`s charged to 100%.
Anyway, got a hold of a similar battery from my brother, think its from a galaxy S* active of some sort. Now im wondering if it can function as a replacement.
I have tested it and phone seem to work like normal.
So; is there anything i should be aware of? Phone reads it like it`s a 1650 mA, even if its a 1500mA..

Hi,
If it works, then I don't see why it can't be used as a replacement. Only the capacities are different, which will have no affect on how much power is being delivered. If you want to be on the safe side, get a proper replacement battery from anker. Most batteries advertised as genuine online are usually fakes, whereas anker aftermarket batteries are a quite reliable.

Thanks for fast reply!
Forgot to mention that the original battery have 4 pins whereas the new one only have 3. Not sure what the fourth pin is for, but phone boots and works
