This tread is for understanding the working roms in xda for the Redmi Note 4X whit Omnivision Camera.
This is the working rom that i know for now.
Lineage 13 (Last may build) camera working.
Halogen OS camera working
ACIP (Android Ice and Cold Project) camera working
I know this 3 roms.
If some one know more roms that support Omnivision Camera Driver write here.
yesterday flash legend rom and slim rom,i have same problem with both rom. i cant access rear camera,when i switch to rear camera still on front camera but upside down.
idk if the problem only with omnivison,but when i tried with samsung sensor everything normal.
We need a fix for this.
For Now Acip,Halogen OS and Lineage 13 are fine.
I think the problem is in the kernel because yesterday when i flashed the velvet kernel my camera stop working.
This needs some more attention, it doesn't seem to hard to fix because some roms already have the support and I would like to see all roms support the omnivision camera.

Might be part of it but using AICP kernel on RR doesn't make the rear camera work

On every custom rom i tried (LineageOS 16, crDroid 8.1 / 9.0, Arrow 9.0, AOSPExtended 6.0) i only can access the front camera.
There is no option for switching to the back camera (the main camera).
Change to another camera app also doesn't help.
So it is not related to a special rom.
Does anybody know where to search for the issue?
I can't use fingerprint on rom pie.Do you know how to fix it and which pie rom can use fingerprint on vince ?
Rom I have used: MSM Extended, Bootleggersrom ,Crdroid,Nitrogen rom,revenge os, liquid remix, Pixys os, Superior OS(unofficial) and on all of them I can't use fingerprint .-.
before flash any rom i often wipe system,davik cache,cache and data. And I use nano Gapps

I have the same problem, the fingerprint only works on Miui, I've tried everything but it does not work on any Pie

Hi,can anybody help me to restore back my FP sensor.I was trying to update from havoc os on android 10 to evolution os android 11 ,I found it unstable to I tried to revert it back to android 10 by flashing havoc is again.in this process idk smthing happened and I broke my FP sensor.I have tried going back to realme ui c.04 update with unlocked bootloader but in stock ROM also FP sensor doesn't work.please help me to get the FP sensor working.....any help would be helpful .thanks
So im with the Resurrection Remix N v5.8.5 For Honor 9 (STF) Rom since i have the device. Besides some failures it haves im ok with it, but always missed to have IR. I noticed in other devices some people made zips so system IR apps could be used on any roms. Any ideas to do this in Honor 9?
