The guide you are following is not the correct one to unlock the bootloader, on this device you need to first downgrade to firmware version 76 and then unlock.
---------- Post added at 22:41 ---------- Previous post was at 22:40 ----------
And if the pc does not detect the device in fastboot mode, it is probably because you do not have the drivers installed

I have adapted the tutorial to be able to unlock the bootloader (and therefore root it) I wish you luck, and by the way in this forum you should not write in Spanish, do it in English please.
I install version 76.01, and when I put the fastboot command "fastboot flashing unlock_ability_etc...(I don't remember), it says "Unlock ability=0", what to do.

Veo que hablas español xd. Estás seguro que instalaste la version 76.01? Porque esa versión es la unica que permite el desbloqueo, si instalaste otra por error entonces no te lo permitirá.
============================================
I see you speak Spanish xd. Are you sure you installed version 76.01? Because that version is the only one that allows unlocking, if you installed another by mistake then it will not allow it.
I managed to do my first root with an ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser, and supersu. I'd like to do something like with my Moto e6 plus (not using magisk, nor flashing a rom, but with supersu and the less change possible): it is possible?
Today I managed to unlock (with https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient) my moto e6 plus. But I don't want to install magisk (at least so far): rather I prefer supersu (less invasive).
Ho w could I do it?

How to update LG Leon H340N to Android M and Unlock the Bootloader
1. The first thing that you need to do is to download the following zip-archive, it contains all the tools that you need + the actual firmware file:
https://mega.nz/#!QgwDHYpB!7TCpc0_ycqjMimhFkHe3yq172tfu__8XIXRJxoxOYHQ
2. After downloading and extracting the archive, run the file named "LG-Mobile-Driver_v4.0.4.0.exe" as administrator, follow the instructions on the screen.
3. Turn off your phone and then hold the volume up button while plugging in the USB-cable to your computer, the phone should enter download mode.
4. Navigate to the folder named LG Flash Tool 2014, open the file named "LGFlashTool2014.exe". When the software is open, change the type to "3GQCT", the phone mode to "Emergency" and then select the .KDZ-file named "H340n20A_00_0512.kdz", then click the button "Normal Flash".

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. A popup will now appear with the title "Read Phone Information", press the button "Start".
6. A new window should now be visible with the title "Select Country & Language", press the button "Clear phone Software update Registry". In the box country, select "Different Country", then in the box language select your language. Then press OK.
7. The firmware should now be flashed over onto your phone, it may take a few minutes and the phone will automatically reboot when it's done.
How to unlock the bootloader after flashing the firmware:
Open "Settings" and then go to "About Phone", then click on "Software info", then tap on the entry "Build info" a few times till developer mode is enabled. Then go back and enter "Developer options", then active "Enable OEM unlock"
First question:
Don't we have to do something after enabling OEM unlock? I mean, I think it's just enable the unlocking itself. After that we can do it via fastboot commands (fastboot oem unlock). Am I right?
Second question:
LG's site says that unlocking is irreversible. But there is a command to do that: fastboot oem lock. Or it isn't working on LG devices?
Can you use this .kdz file on any LG Leon H340n phone? I my current is V10g. That wouldn't be a problem?

Q
Is there any way to flash TWRP recovery in 6.0 without rooting after enabling OEM Unlock?
Worked on EE UK H340n running 5.0.1 -- does not offer option to use SD as internal storage but I am going to try a factory reset and see if this changes
---------- Post added at 04:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 PM ----------
Still the same, after factory reset it only offers the option of portable storage, not format as internal... why is doing this?
Ok - factory reset doesn't work, but there is a way, needed to use adb, have to use this method from a post about a samsung phone here: I am unable to post ext links, search for bgr galaxy-s7-edge-tips-microsd-adoptable
install adb,
sm list-disks to list the disks
sm partition disk:179,64 private
where 179,64 is the name of my disk from the results of the sm-list disks command
now it works as internal storage for data and apps

Fire up oden and load the boot into the AP section and flash.
Leave the phone hooked to the pc and after it boots up you can connect with adb
To make sure the pc can communicate with the phone start with
Code:
adb devices
.
If you can see the phone then you can follow up with
Code:
adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16

Something went wrong on your Pixel Experience Rom, so I tried flashing the stock deodexed rom you made (from Pixperience with FlashFire with wipe), and had the same problem as @EzzBMTH. I then flashed the boot successfully thru Odin. It left download mode and I am now greeted with a nice black screen. I can't turn it on by pressing and holding power. Can you help?
Hmm, I'll investigate this farther this weekend... In the mean time you should be able to hold -vol and power to get into download mode and flash back to stock with Odin
[EDIT]
Oh wait... Just found the thread and see what your doing.
The eng_root selinux is not permissive, so if your rooted you'll see a black screen, but the adb commands work. After your done you must reflash eng_boot... Guess I need to update the OP

Reflash the eng_boot that is in the OP? Edit: ran adb commands while the screen was black. then went to download mode and FRP lock was off. Reflashed the boot image in OP, and phone is still black trying to boot. Edit the second: just so you know this (I should have put this in previous edit), I left my black screen phone plugged in all night, and it must have booted halfway overnight because in the morning it was stuck on the AT&T boot logo. I moved it to the download screen but pressed vol down to reboot, but it still was black. Then I decided to come back here and see what you said:

Sucks it's not working... Don't think debugging matters with eng_root tho.
If I was you I'd test adb with another device first, if that fails maybe try a different installer

thank you very much worked perfectly but quick question to update to 7.0 should i flash back to eng.boot instead of root
@nc_blackout
Depends on how you install it...
If you let it update ota you'll need the stock boot.
If you update with Odin it does not matter.
If you root and update with flashfire, it depends on your root method.

Guys any luck getting any scatter files for this phone? I sent Vernee multiple messages and not one reply! I need the firmware for this phone so I can fix it. Stuck in bootloop now with not even option for recovery.....
I could work with this device this week and finally build a working TWRP device(Data partition decryption dont work, but i'm working on a kernel which dont encrypt data), you can backup system, boot and much more to a external sd card.
Get it from here: recovery.img
Reboot fastboot mode and perform the following commands:
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot boot recovery.img
Once on recovery, keep the device blocked for a min or two, and then unlock it, allow system modifications, go to mount, mount system, then click on options, file explorer, go to system folder and delete the recovery-from-boot.p file.
I cannot get my phone to go to fastboot, recovery or anything else. Just keeps boot looping.....

If u make it work i can send you a system backup so you can fix your phone
I done all that. I pressed Vol + and power until it was off then vol- and power, just start boot looping again. I fear the only thing that can save it now is a scatter file...... Even AliExpress didn't help me with warranty still left, and why I will not buy from them again.

Hi, @taras-fedora-syn
Thank you very much for help. Both your ROM and your recovery port, is very awesome!!
My phone not hot anymore. And free of lag. Your tutorial is good enough for me to understand step by step.
Just needed to read it twice to make sure everything ok. I'm pressing cancel and format all. Hahaha.
I don't care to lose data as long as i got root. Usually my phone always warm, then suddenly become hot. But now it's solve by this rom.
Anyone can port custom rom from Redmi Note 4MTK or LeEco Le2 X620 (EUI/MIUI/Flyme/lineage/CrDroid/RR) MM or Nougat to Z2?
Both phones has same chipset Helio X20 as Z2.
I have searched everywhere and have found nothing does a anyone know of a root method for the T-Mobile REVVL 4 model number 5062z

Because phone is based on Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset you can use either MTK Easy SU or MTK-SU tool

wrong, its a qualcomm
So can this device be rooted or not? Correct replies only would be great.
I am actively working towards it. The phone is def TCL....a lot of the package-names give that away. I installed a new Linux distro yesterday in hopes of getting to the bootloader. There might be an added advantage to loading a DSU in Developer Opyions...will update ASAP.

I can't get the DSU loader to work on mine. It downlaods and says it's ready so I tap on the PROCEED button or whatever and it just reboots back to my Android 11 Stock over and over.
(
I know little about Android development but I have the device it's not my daily driver so I can test stuff on it and if it goes south it's no big deal. Btw the revvl 4+ is the Qualcomm model, the 4 is the mediatek soc.

Have you had any luck on this yet???
I selected the first DSu , let it install and now the bootloader is corrupt. ( which im pretty sure means its inoperable) so the verity is definitly disabled. I can load into fastboot and baout to test the fastboot oem unlock.

I was bale to let it install. You gotta downgrade to the first firmware it came with and let the DSU install. My dm-verity is corrupted which is, Im pretty sure disabled, and im able to boot into fastboot
Official Bootloader Unlock for T-Mobile REVVL 4G (TMRVL4G)
Unlock DeVops by selecting build number 5 or 6 times. get usb debugging and fastboot oem unlock. if it is not there go to about phone and select the first DSU. itll reboot and say your dm-verity is corrupted. Was then able to boot fastboot by adb reboot fastboot getting the Android with an exclamation coming out of his chest, held power vol + then pressing vol - fastbootd prompted. once your in fastbootd select reboot recovery and then youll get a recovery, fastboot and reboot selection. select fastboot and then you will be able to fastboot devices. once you get an indication your device is there then I used tiny adb with the command: fastboot flashing unlock_critical. An, are you sure? prompt in adb and press y then enter. it'll unlock the bootloader. and boot Orange_state and tell you your device is unlocked.
Anyone found a stock firmware for this yet?

I tried this with no luck.
OEM unlock and usb debugging is on.
adb reboot fastboot
This brings me to fastbootd which seems to be the only place for running fastboot commands. I tried going to recovery but theres no option to go to fastboot. I think mine is running anewer version.
fastboot oem unlock gives this error:
FAILED (remote: Command not supported in default implementation)
fastboot flashing unlock and unlock_critical gives this error:
FAILED (remote: Unrecognized command flashing unlock_critical)
Any thoughts or ideas?

hmm this justs boots the phone back into the android os
then select reboot to bootloader when in fastbootd
or you can hold the volume up while plugging into your computer until you get fastboot mode at the bottom of the screen, you gotta select the dsu at least once to be able to enable orange state on tmobile boot screen
let it sit there forlike 20 minutes itll say android annd ot boot for a long time.... i let it sit there for about 15-20 minutes
im trying to figure out how to make a twrp for this device ow that the bootloader is unlocked
