Hello All,
Please I want to know the consequences of flashing the rom of another region on your Samsung device. Let me explain why I ask this
So recently I upgraded my Samsung j7 Pro (J730GM) to Android 8.1 Oreo and that update changed the binary version of my device to 5 (i.e. J730GMDXU5) so I tried downgrading the phone back to 7.0 but that did not work because Samsung has not released an Android 7.0 Nougat firmware with binary version 5 so downgrading the normal way was quite impossible.
Now I recently found out that Samsung has released an Android 7.0 Nougat firmware with binary version 5 but the region/country it was released for is Mexico while my phone's region is Thailand.
Now my question is, is it possible to downgrade my J7 Pro with the Mexico firmware although my device's region is Thailand because they are both binary version 5? If yes, what are the possible consequences?
Hi all,
I need help to analyze why I'm always end up with bootloop when I flashing GSI rom on my SM-G965F Exynos?
I know my device is supported Treble Project with A only Partition and the Architecture is arm64. is that right?
I've follow the instructions.
install Stock ROM.
Enable Dev Option, USB Debug, and OEM Unlock.
Install latest TWRP (from official twrp site).
Flash DM-Verity.
Flash the GSI Rom.
I've try this following GSI Rom :
9.0 AOSP - phhusson
9.0 AospExtended - EnesSastim
9.0 PixelExperience - EnesSastim
How you all guys debug your device when it's bootloop?
Thanks
So, I found this post from phhusson.
Please note that only Oreo vendor is supported, not Pie vendor.

After trying for more than 6 hours downgrading to oreo. Conclusion is I can't flash GSI on my S9+ Exynos, Since my device bootloader v6 and orea stock is v2
Because I'm not able to downgrade from pie to oreo firmware, I decide to try flash only vendor.img from oreo firmware to vendor partition.
Now, I'm able boot the unofficial Pixel Experience Pie from EnesSastim that was release here.

So i have had me galaxy M30 for a while now it came out with android 9.0(Pie) and just recently got the android 10 update to OneUI 2. I haven't rooted it or installed a custom boot loader yet. i wanted to do that and i was doing some research and I read about how TWRP isnt ready for phones that come with android 10 out of the box. i was wondering if the would have a problem on my M30 too or if its safe.
if it is safe to install TWRP in my M30 the has already been updated to android 10. Then where can i get the suitable version of twrp and the steps to install it. Also where can i get the stock boot loader incase I wanted to change it back.
device info:
Galaxy M30 SM-M305F
android 10 (OneUI 2)
Exynos 7904
security update version M305FDDU3CSL5
Thanks

Samsung Xcover 4 SM-G390F Root Magisk + TWRP +Disable Encryption Oreo/Pie (2019/2020)
Hi, Finally I had time to finish my work on Xcover 4. I couldn't disable ForceEncryption by any flashable tool so I prepared 2 version of firmware (Oreo and Pie), both prerooted (Magisk) and free from Force Encryption. Everything except boot.img...
