My sd card is encrypted, - Huawei Developers

Dear All,
My sd card is encrypted,
I made a factory reset,
I turned the phone on, it doesn't recognize the card and ask for format before to use the card,
(The memory card cannot be accessed because it has been encrypted on another device)
(It says this is a kind of security and privacy)
I want to get the files on the sd card back but with no success, any help ?

Cant access files after SD Card Encryption

I encrypted all my files on my external SD card.
I then wiped and installed a new ROM.
Now i cannot read the files on my SD card.
Is this because it was all encrypted under the old ROM?
As far as I know the phone creates a unique key for the encryption, so you couldn't read the sd card in another phone. By changing the Rom you've effectively changed phone, so the sd card is locked.
Either format the card, if you don't need the data, or restore an earlier nandroid (if that will recreate the key) to access the card again if you need the data.

[Q] How to make my phone use internal memory for storing files

Hello, I have a Jiayu G4S phone (1GB RAM/4GB ROM version). It has android 4.2.2 and by default it uses only external SD micro card for saving files (photos, music, ebboks, downloads from internet,...). Internal memory is used for installing apps, but that can be changed to external memory. I used to have SD micro card inserted and everthing worked ok. But then my SD card reader stopped recognizing SD card. I sent phone back for repair, but they did not repair it (although they say they did). I tried different cards in phone, but they don't work. Some are not recognized at all, some are recognized with message, that SD card is corrupted and I should try formatting. When I try formatting, nothing happens. I tried formatting SD cards outside phone - with windows, and some other programs. I tried with brand new card. I tried MTK Eingineer Mode - SD card test...but it says there is no card in phone. Is there anything else I could do to fix that myself?
Because if I send it back again I will have to be without phone for another month or two and I can't do that...
I was also thinking - is there a possibility I could make my phone save files to internal memory instead of external SD card?

TWRP dont work with SD Card

When i have my SD installed on my phone and try to enter on recovery mode (TWRP) it gets stuck on TWRP Boot logo, i need to pull my battery to shutdown the phone.
if i remove the SDCard and try to boot into recovery it works without any problem.
i installed TWRP through AutoRec from Play Store.
Now i'm on marshamallow and i use the SD Card as internal memory, so i dont know if i can remove it without cause any problems just to use TWRP.

When you decide to make your sd card "Adoptable (internal) Storage" your phone not only incorporates the card as internal, but it also ENCRYPTS your sd card. Now the only device that will read your card is your phone. Try and load it on a desktop or your laptop and it won't even recognize your card. Because it encrypts your SD CARD, TWRP cannot see your card and thus gets stuck on the TEAMWIN screen when booting into recovery. When you remove the card and reboot into recovery, then TWRP works again. How I fixed it is to go to storage, and settings and change the card back to "Transportable (extrnal) Storage." The phone will reformat your card again (thus erasing everything on the card) and make it external and able to be read from any device (laptop, desktop, etc.). This will also allow TWRP to see the card again and will not freeze on TEAMWIN screen when booting into recovery. Also, if you revert the sd card back to Transportable Storage, your phone will "remember" that you had an SD CARD assigned to Adoptable Storage. You need to click on that SD CARD and choose "FORGET" card. this will remove that SD CARD and assign your newly reformatted Transportable SD CARD as the only card on your phone. If you don't do this "FORGET" step, your camera, your gallery will force close everytime you try to open it because it is looking for the Adoptable SD CARD that you got rid of yet your phone still thinks it exists. Once you "FORGET" that SD CARD, your phone will function properly. I learned all this the hard way and hours and hours of reading.
TWRP - Does hybrid partitioning possible after SD Card reverting Int->Ext allocation?

Thanks a lot texasjmzmd for your diagnostic and fix, very helpful! TWRP documentation says nothing about possible hybrid partitioning Int+Ext to extend Internal memory keeping External capacity, except the menu proposing to allocate some memory (with no precision about memory units bytes/kbytes/mbytes). Some enlightment about that issue would be more than welcome : a link to documentation or any related post.

How to recover data on an encrypted SD Card ?

Dear All,
I encrypted my SD card using the encrypt SD Card feature in Android Lollipop. Later, I upgraded my phone to CM13 Marshmallow and I removed the SD Card from my phone during the entire process. Once the new ROM has been installed I encrypted my phone internal memory using the same password as the one I used to encrypt my SD Card.
Once I reinserted my SD Card, the phone couldn't read the encrypted files stored in there. Everytime I try to open a file (image, music, video...) it says "the file couldn't be opened it could be corrupted or damaged".
Can anyone tell me how to restore data on an encrypted SD card ? Of course, I know the exact password that was used to encrypt the data on the SD Card.

Need to recover ext4 protected SD card

Hello there.
I have android phone with 9.0 firmware. When I bought the SD card and installed it, my phone asked me how I would use it.
I selected this variant:
Internal storage:
You can store apps and data for this device only. If you move the SD card to another device, the SD card will be erased ("formatted"). After the SD card is erased, you can use it with the other device.

The problem is that:
I got bootloop after some manipulations with firmware. So I had to make Factory Reset. Before that I've removed SD card from phone. And now I can't use this SD, because it's ext4 and something like "protected". My PC can't open disk even with ext4 reading tools. When I install this SD to the phone, it asks to formate SD and select the option of use.
How can I get back my data from this SD card?
