One week ago i bought a new Huawei P40 Lite 5G. I know the GMS situation on new huawei smartphones but i say " it's fine, i can do it " after some youtube tutorial i found this video about downgrade with Hisuite old version and Hisuite proxy.
When i do it, I found the firmwear CDY-LP4G. After instalation i got on my device Honor softwear, and some errors. I can't find a solution for that.
Help guys !
I have the errors in build number and the specification of phone is completly wrong, I have P40 Lite 5G Europe version.

Hello,
It seems your problem comes from the fact you installed wrong LGRPx base package firmware for your device.
I guess in your case you would want an LGRP2 base firmware.
friend i have the same problem i installed the same version of firmaware and my phone has become hono and it doesn't work well it would need a right rom i think they have done something wrong
if any of you have solved the problem you can tell how it did I have the cellphone packed it does not work well with the CDY-LGRP4 firmavare

1.) Download firmware for your model. There are firmwares for two available version: S7-931u and S7-931w, so choose the one you have.
2.) You will need an SD card to make firmware install/upgrade. Put SD Card into your SD card slot on your Mediapad 7 Lite.
3.) Connect your tablet to PC in MTP mode.
4.) BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP everything what is important to you and resides on internal memory of tablet (doesn't affect external SD card)
4.) Unpack downloaded firmware somwhere on your PC (e.g Desktop). You probably will have now folder update and instruction.pdf. Open PDF if you want to follow their guide - basically it is the same thing as my guide.
5.) Move or copy dload folder to the root of SD card (in PDF says "father" directory, but it actually root of SD card)
6.) Turn off tablet, put SD card (probably you didn't even take it out)
7.) Turn on tablet (if SD card is already inside or didn't start)
8.) Wait for "gears" Android logo - means it is in "recovery" mode.
9.) Wait for firmware upgrade to finish. (Says OK if finished, or FAIL if something went wrong)
10.) Tablet is probably going to restart itself couple of times.
11.) Adjust your initial settings and enjoy.
If unsure - follow PDF guide.
Hopefully, this will help you.
P.S. Just for the record, this is almost year old firmware so don't expect any miracles with this upgrade. Seems that no one at Huawei is interested in doing some new firmware for this tablet. That is a shame.

Is this your model?
EDIT:
If this is your model, then download appropriate firmware for your tablet, and there is a PDF guide inside firmware ZIP file.
As I can see, you can use the same procedure to upgrade firmware like I wrote in my posts about upgrading Mediapad 7 Lite.
Don't accidentally download and flash wrong firmware, cause it probably going to brick your tablet! Be careful.

I don't have Youth model, so can't tell if this is the same on your tablet too, but...
Did you try to (un)check your => Settings > (Wireless & Mobile Section) > More... > Mobile Networks > Use only 2G networks?
Well if *#*#4636#*#* is not working for you (just to say - it is not working for me either, but I didn't check it until now, cause I always use 3G or WiFi ), you can try to use app on Google Play store called Radio Switcher which makes the same thing.
Try, maybe that helps. Good luck.

huawei s7-931w
hello my huawei s7-931w is stuck on huawei logo text and then it turns off what could be the problem??? please help!!
This tread is referring to a S7-721u version in Malaysia with Gr8 bundled pre-installed.
Unfortunately, I lost my Gr8 activation code and unable to login to the device anymore after a factory reset. After some research, I have managed to flash it with the original firmware. Yes, I lost me Gr8 code, so I don't have the access to the daily subscription anymore, but I got my Huawei Mediapad back without unwanted pre-installed apps.
I am sharing this guideline so that it would be easier for people who faced the same issue like me. For people already got your Huawei Mediapad, keep your Gr8 code safe and remember where you keep it.
Prepare an microSD card with any storage size larger than 1GB.
Format microSD card.
Download Huawei official release firmware (S7-721u, Android4.3, C232B008, General).
Unzip downloaded firmware.
Delete file “au_temp.cfg” in dload folder.
Copy dload folder with UPDATA.APP in it.
Paste dload folder in your microSD card.
Power Off Huawei Mediapad. Insert microSD card.
Press Power + volume up + volume down keys together. The phone automatically enters the upgrade mode, and then begin the upgrade. Release the keys.
Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the phone will automatically restart. DONE!
What is new version C232B008 or C264B001? My tablet is on C264B001.

How important is it to delete that file. Is that the reason why when i install the update it says "update.app is a invalid package"? Thanks mate.
Hi. I just reinstall the software, but how do I get back my e papers subscriptions?
Is there any costum rom, and i have this tablet locked on one network ,is there a solution to run other network.thanks in advance.
I did all as you said, but now my tablet is completely dead.
Thanks it worked.
Provide the download link for the firmware please?
Thx Sunnysardine, it works for me.
Just to add a bit for my experience.
The process 1 - 8 MUST be followed exactly. I tried putting the update.app w/o the load folder, it did not work
For process 10, it takes a bit of time. the Huawei logo showed up for quite long before it power up to 1st screen. after that, all well. So got to be patient a little bit
Thanks man
I followed ur instructions exactly and it works, nice
If not for this, I would have thrown away my mediapad, it totally not login-able/ unusable without Gr8 code
Thanks again!
it is work for me.. thanks for sharing
Hi there, I found a way to remove GR8 app without installing the update. I found out that due to the device cannot detect the update in my sd card.
1) turn on the Huawei media pad s7-721u, unlock the screen
2) plug in to computer/laptop windows 7,8 or windows 10
3) on the Huawei media pad screen, it will pop up usb setting, select hiSuite usb type option
4) at the andoid setting, please go to about table setting, then enable developer mode by taping 7 times at Build number
5) still at android setting, go to security, make sure your android Screen lock setting is set under Huawei unlock, the go to shortcut setting, need to set to google app and android setting app.
6) install HiSuite to your computer - this is the Huawei official computer device managed software tool
7) install iRoot software to your computer. careful with this installation, it full of bloatware, but don't worry it don't have a virus.
8) run the iRoot and it will root your device. It will restart your Huawei pad multiple times.
9) after it root complete, unlock your device then go to google play ( as your android unlock setting option have the google play as describe in step 5)
10) install System app remover from google play
11) open the app, go to inside the app setting, remove setting Hide core system app
12) go to the main menu of the app remover, under manager, select system app, now you can find gr8 gallery app. Removed that app then restart the device.
13) you will have multiple error in android, just reboot and the error gone. DONE
This is where you can download the firmware

First memory card is required if you dont have it will not work! So get memory card at least 4GB.
INSTRUCTIONS
-----------------------
1.Boot into Android normally.
2.Connect your phone to your PC/Laptop with a USB cable and when asked (or in USB connection settings), please select USB Mass storage mode to mount SD card.
3.Unzip the downloaded archive.
4.Copy "sdfuse" folder from archive to SD card.
Note: Please make sure that your phone has atleast 60% power before attempting or beginning upgrade. Or keep charger connected during the process.
:cyclops: SD card upgrade process:
Long press VOL UP + POWER_KEY to enter the droidboot,
A menu will appear. Select the fourth option, SDUPDATE.
At the bottom of the screen, you can see the progress and status of the update
When you see the message "SDCARD UPDATE SUCCESS!!!", this means you successfully completed the upgrade process
Now, reboot your device and hopefully it should be updated. You will have Jelly Bean 4.3 :highfive:
When it boots go to contacts type on new cotact name this code ####6020# then select your region! You must do this to get new update to KitKat,if you not it will show you that you dont have updates.
Sorry for my BAD english! :silly:

Try this , Hold just vol down and plug USB cable : ). This is for fastboot mode , so if you are able to get your device recognised extract update.app with huawei extractor tool .
Example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKRTbv-6Kzc
Today when I saw at XDA app that I have a replay I said “ Thank God my problem is over” but nop!! A new problem appeared. I download the extractor tool but when I open the update.app file I saw that there where not all the files needed as I saw at the video example. So two possibilities exist. Neither the files are not indeed inside the .app file or my myopia has gone up and I can’t see.
Any help please??
P.S I tried to upload a screenshot from extraction tool but with now luck.

Hello!
I tried with the files you suggested but I can not go into fast boot mode or any mode so I’m starting to believe that there is no way fix it. The only think it does when I try all button combinations is to restart nothing more. I appreciate all the help but maybe there is no way to get into it.

All i did was to press Vol+ and Vol - while pressing power button and voila! ! The little green robot appeared and start to install the programme. I forgot to say that i put the 'dload' folder into SD card.
Thanks for all the help!!:good::good:
The procedure has been confirmed in Xda https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...&postcount=412 and also by myself.
Remember that this procedure makes a full wipe and will erase all the internal memory, it is essential to make a Backup
Instructions
This is the requirements
1- Upgrade with USB-OTG
An OTG cable
A USB drive (8GB at least) Formatted as NTFS or ExFat
Also you can use an USB drive + USB C adapter

USB otg mode is workking.
It's so simple !!
Thanks OP.
Option 1 and 2 work with either NM or USB-OTG drive
It did not work well with my device.
I tried in OTG mode.
The environment is 9.1.0.124 (C431E4R2P2).
When you start eRecovery, it becomes Software installed failed. (Incompatibility with current version)
What's wrong
Have you downloaded all the files and placed the three update files in to a folder called 'dload'?
Also, if having issues try the service menu method.
Don't let me download the firmware ?. I have what could it be?

just download from here, https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&c=download&id=121664 , you will have to register first to download.
something is not going well with the drive link i put on first post. cheers
If it will not allow you to download due to too many people accessing the file, then add it to your drive. once there, right click and select "Create copy" you can then download the copy
i am trying to upload to mega. if someone have a valid link and want to share here please just post it. cheers
Unable to locate L09 firmware v 153. Don't think it's available yet.

Hi All
I'm on 3 UK and when I inserted my sim it downloaded 3UK splash screens and apps etc. Can I flash this over my current 3 branded firmware using the USB-OTG method and will it still have all the 3UK customisation afterwards or will it debrand, if it will debrand it is there any way I can stop this happening again. Sorry for all the questions
Thanks in advance

You asked at just the right time, my device was a branded ThreeUK device... I just flashed it 30 mins ago on my device. Completely debranded it, however when you setup the phone it will give you an option to "Update" to a new custom version which is the carrier modified firmware. Presume this will rebrand it so i simply skipped it, note however it shows as update available in settings still if you want to install it in future manually. That being said... I wonder if it's possible to extract and see what this "Update" contains since it's 176MB which is a lot. Whether any optimisations ect are worth it for the branding.
That's great, thank you for the info! It really is a crap idea to customise a device based on operator sim card.
I will have a go at flashing this now, I've already downloaded the files
Thanks again
Hello, anybody know where I can find a firmware for the VOG-L04? Thanks in advance.
