Hi
Whats up?
Bought the Redmi Note 3 Pro Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core 3GB/32GB version.
After read a lot and especially the ROMs suitable for Redmi 3 Pro thread
I read that the MIUI's rom is onerous the phone with so much bloatware apps(cleanmaster, antivrus, Micloud and so more).
So, what is the most stable rooted rom w/o bugs at the area? (Read that the CM13 still have some annoying bugs)
I'm totally noob at the beginning after buying a new device
Saw the MIUI 8 V6.7.7 -BUT- still prefer more "puerer" rom and ofcoarse - with the least Lags as possible.
Prefer a rom that comes rooted comes with twrp + gapps installed that keeps the great battery life of the RN3 PRO.
Looking for: Clean+fast-NO LAG+comes with recovery(twrp preferred) and Play store.
What would be the most suitable for my needs?
Is there a "tut's" for how to?
Thanks very much for your help
I think twrp and gapps need to be installed seperately for every rom.
For twrp there are several guides but first step is always "unlock your bootloader". You have to either use unofficial unlock method or request permission from xiaomi.
The CM roms i tested were stable but for me there was the bug that the battery is stuck at 50%. Another bug that a lot of users face is a not working fingerprint sensor.
you can check here for a overview and possible fixes http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/fingerprint-battery-issues-custom-roms-t3429464
I am on Krexus. I suggest you the same. No major bugs.

Hi,
What about MIUI? Maybe the most stable-without bloatware out there?
I want something that close to clean android but still have some few hacks.
Thanks!!!
Miui 7 xiaomi.eu stable 7.3.2. Xiaomi.eu dev 6.5.5 is stable enough too, less stable and good rom is best MIUI 8 rom xiaomi.eu dev 6.7.21, that version od miui 8 is best actually. Of course you should unlock bootloader firstly.
Smiui is great for me awesome battery !!!
@ Pawel978
I'm not sure I understood you.
The best roms for you opinion are:
1) Miui 7 xiaomi.eu stable 7.3.2
2) Xiaomi.eu dev 6.5.5
What do you meant to say in this sentence?
"less stable and good rom is best MIUI 8 rom xiaomi.eu dev 6.7.21"
It not stable but still the best MIUI Rom?
I suggest reading through this reddit wiki first. As for which rom is the most stable and bug free, I'd say Mokee.
Thanks very much!!
Cm13 from santosh is the most stable but not the lightest
Krexus is the lightest/fastest but not the best battery
RR is polyvalent with lots of (useless for me) features, quite stable
Slim is pretty good compromise between speed/stability
I think slim is very small but meaningful customazings and very good from the battery power I have 8.5 hours sot or infinitive os is almost as but both are pretty good
@aaz03 and @noobstyle1337
Thanks for summerized for me the most recommanded roms for my needs.
Guess I will chose between:
Cm13
Slim
All best!!
Hi I will receive my Redmi note 3 pro prime... 32gb/3ram snap650 tomorrow.
There so many versions of this phone that looking at the Rom's it's quite confusing with all the have the different boot loader unlocking ( I will go with official - I got the SMS ), different processor variants, different FP sensor, support for quick charging etc.
Anyway I would like to start of with any of the official Rom's and maybe in September after my holiday move on to CM or other. Which version I should go to are there any difference in options between the two ( apart of lack of gapps).
Any advice on different ROM's would be great!
Thanks
Go for developer china it has more functions but i prefer CM because i dont like Miui and now there is support for the new sensor in CM from santosh

Can the chinese developer version be flashed on global version Redmi note 3 (SD 650)? Also shuld i flash back the global developer ROM to unlock the bootloader officially..(i got the SMS)
Basic difference that I found are
1) you can get music online
2) you have accelerated downloads(not sure how much accelerated though )
3) you can install font and all themes (best one imo.. there are some amazing themes that you can't install in global )
With all this said I would not go for China developer ROM actually.
I gave it a try and trust me there were tons of ads ..and then also you'd the problem of installing Google apps (like contact sync and all)..go for global dev ROM or Xiaomi.eu Roms ..I didn't try Xiaomi.ru roms personally but I read they are much better
EU roms are the best.
-based on china dev
-minimum Gapps, all chinese bloatware & MIUI bloatware removed
-optimized with various fixes and tweaks
-faster than global dev
-regularly updated
-working theme store.
don't bother flashing any kernels. stick to stock...variety of small bugs with custom kernels.
chines Rom have some more functions
Has anyone tried this ROM? It's miui based and from what I've read on Mi 9 thread, the battery life is very good and has less bloat.
https://os.revtechs.me/descargas-miui/
Here's the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/rom-revolution-os-t3926187
is there a OLED friendly option to have a black instead of a white menu ?

I haven't tried it either.
I have tried the following
Official Global Stable : Good but the ads are annoying and its missing alot of features compared to beta and custom rom versions of Miui
Official Global EU beta : Awesome, highly recommended
Chinese and Russian versions : I have not tried.
Mi-Globe : A custom Miui rom based on Global Eu beta, the Miglobe page allows you to build your rom with apps/features built in or removed depending on your selection, which include regional GPS setup, and its released on the same day as the Official EU weekly beta. Does allow 3rd party import of themes, and has excellent battery life. Get it here
Miui Pro : Outstanding as well. But usually updates run behind the weekly EU global and Mi-Globe.
Edit: I recently installed this Mi8 and I must say that it is truly one of the best Miui Rom's that I have tried yet. It includes some very nice older features such as the options of a wide breadth of animations and worldwide theme store, It also has many additional custom battery saving features, such as smart networking ( the list of these features is too lengthy to comment on at the moment. But let me just say that my SOT is very close to 10 hours according to GSAM battery manager. I have used Miui Pro on my other devices for a while, and the rom has always been great. I just found out that the Mi 8 version of Miui Pro requires that you join their site via a subscription and the process is kind of ridiculous. for how long it takes to get accepted. With that being said you can also download a slightly older version of their rom via a link originating from 4PDA rom I am currently using this version and I cannot say enough how much I like it.
Revolution OS : Recently tried, and it's awesome its very similar to Mi-Globe Get the recent version here
Mi-Room: I have not tried yet. But, I have heard great things about this one, I believe it is maybe similar to Miui Pro?
Get it here
I too would be very interested in hearing some feedback from people who have tried other version of Miui.
What was your experience?

Yes, I have definitely heard a lot of great things about Miui MS and I will definitely check it out within the next couple of days.
Currently I am on the last release of Miui Pro and I am thoroughly impressed, the version for the Mi8 is much much better than the version that I tried on my old Leeco.
Thank you

I responded to you privately, and I am short on time so I will update this post later to benefit anyone else wanting to know my experience.
According to Xiaomi India, MIUI 11 "might" get out of beta on 16.10.2019.
On a personnal note, I don't believe the Mi 9 will receive the update first since there are now several models already on MIUI 11.
Aside from the A series without MIUI (Android One), I won't ever touch a Mi phone in the near future.
The ROM building is a disaster, the Mi 9 is en route to being updated last, EEA ROM still having notifications problems...
Bleh.

Not ever again for me.
That's the same date what xiaomi is advertising since 2 days so it should be possible. And if you dont like the Stock Rom, switch to xiaomi.eu. All Bugs from Stock are not present there and if you dont follow the Installation Tips from most users you will never have any problems. Btw. Use lrteam twrp and not maronofrio. Even if its included in the xiaomi.eu Rom just Flash lrteam twrp after flashing the Rom and everything else you need. Its allways based on latest China beta (without bloadware and ads) All features are opend to every body even without a xiaomi Account. You allways get the latest Android Version, security Patch and miui Version that are existing. Sometimes you have to wait a week for a security Patch but thats nearly Pixel Niveau. For example Android 10 was there a few months ago (without Bugs) miui 11 is there for two weeks now (without Bugs) you get weekly Updates. And with magisk and/or xposed you can change the whole System as you want it even like Stock Android (except for the settings App). Xiaomi.eu is the allround Rom for everybody who likes to mod his System as Hard as you can(just if you want tofor sure) and stay up to Date with a Rock stable System. Just dont Listen to the dozend users Posting their bugs/problems on xiaomi.eu forum or here on xda, 99% of These problems are in Front of the Display and not behind it. If you need some instructions, Flash latest lrteam twrp (1001) Flash latest xiaomi.eu Rom (10.10.) Flash magisk (if you want to) and if you want allways working Backups (even over different Android Versions and different twrps) remove encryption (included in twrp "advanced" (rm force encrypt) ). After that just Flash lrteam twrp img again (just from within twrp) because xiaomi.eu Rom Installation will over write it. For updating the weekly you just habe to wipe "System (yes even if devs say you dont need to) dalvik and Cache" Flash Update, Flash magisk, rm force encrypt, Flash lrteam twrp img, reboot and you are happy forever. I am dirty flashing Updates for over 4 months now every week and never had a single Bug with this method. I know this Was maybe a little bit ot sorry for that.

A very clear write-up. I appreciate your time and efforts. I am using MIUI 11 (lastest version released last friday) and it is working very fuild smooth and also no bloatwares. I have customised to my taste and works better. I like xiaomi mi 9 for the simplicity in modding ourselves.
Are they releasing Global and EEA ROM in the same time or EEA ROM will came a little bit later after Global ROM?
Is anybody know this?!

Sorry, but that's just not correct.
You are right in the fact that some, or most, of the bugs in the stock ROM are not on Xiaomi.eu ROM, but it's a trade-off, you trade some bugs for other bugs and for some other stupid ideas from the developers.
Xiaomi.eu developers hard mod the ROM themselves, a lot of stupid choices going on there. For instance, the developers thought it is a good idea to remove the Message notification option from the settings, because they think SMS messages are just like any other notification, and their advice, if you want to have a different sound for SMS notification, is to go to App Info and modify from there. Of course, that DOES NOT WORK, the sound gets reset to default notification sound every single time, but they don't fix that or restore the freaking option in settings. And the list can go on and on.
Also, the stock apps are a mess, because they are not really the Global ones, but not Chinese versions either, they are also modded by the developers of Xiaomi.eu, so they work like crap or not at all in some cases. Forget about updating them, there is no way to do that unless you install the APK directly and then, in most cases, they works even worse.
Basically, xiaomi.eu is a pain to live with, it might be nice for those who just use the phone to look fancy and to take a few pictures, but if you actually USE the phone, it's crap.
That being said, the Stock ROM is no joy either, it gets updated once every 3-6 months and basically, like 10% of the features and fixes from the defunct Global Beta make it to the Global Stable. So yeah...for short, Xiaomi can make great phones, but they make crap ROM and there are no decent options of a good ROM, in my opinion.

No. Thats a beta update. Not Global Stable update.
It's here, MIUI 12!
That's the global version. EEA version also available - here
Of course, xiaomi.eu have had their version of MIUI 12 for a while.
Peace
Successfully installed via OTA, no problems. System is stable and smooth.
Just received it but it stays on 0%
got it updated for a week now, just ok, mostly eye candy, nothing noticeable in performance,
missing many many features from China rom,
After 2 weeks of use, witching between apps has become a disaster, what's draining all ram?
