[Q] 65 Watt charger for other devices. - Realme 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello people, is anyone aware if using the 65Watt charger that comes in the box is safe to use with other low power devices like bluetooth headsets or other devices?
Please answer if you're educated on this or have tried it.

i use it for charging huawei band 3 and y6 via microusb cable and dont see any issues

Aside from the 65W (10V 6.5 A), the rating on the charger also displays 5V 2A output, which is normal charging specs for device not compatible with the fast charging, so it should be fine.

If you find any device that use the same protocol or 10V 6.5 A it will charge it super fast
But most other phones use different charging volt and ampere so it will not be able to super charge it
For example my wife owns a s20 fe who is capable of 25w charging
But the charger of realme just a charge it at 10w with 5 volt 2 ampere

Use fast charger provided by Huawei. its kirin chipset, so QC will not work.
Aren't all chargers that are 2 amps "fast chargers"?
The 1 amp chargers are the slow ones.
Or is there more to it?
I tried charging with an original Huawei charger. It charges MUCH quicker, compared to a 2 amp apple charger.
Strange.. I guess they have some sort of chip inside that tells the phone it is original?
There are different types of fast charging. Qualcomm Quick Chargers won't work properly in our devices, since the chip is Kirin (and not e.g. Snapdragon).
There are restrictions in each chipset that tell how much "juice" they can take and how "fast" they can handle it.
It's best to always use the charger provided by Huawei.
Charging and chargers is not as simple as "the more it gives the faster my phone will charge"

Does plus really support Quick charging?

Hi i read that redmi 5 plus support qc so i had aquired samsung quick charger. When plugged phone shows quick charging but when i mesure mA while charing with qc and with normal charger there is no big difference according mesuring software. So what is real truth about qc?

Redmi 5 Plus supports QC (3.0 to be exact, as it's Snapdragon 625). Apps measuring charge rate won't show you real current, it's only approximation.
I've tested my charger, which supports QC 3.0, my 5+ uses 9Volts at almost 2Amps (when charging from 15-20%). Measuring software won't show you voltage that you are using to charge so you may not see the difference. But doing quick math - 5V*2A=10W (standard charging brick) whereas QC charger will use 9V*2A=18W. That means you are charging with 80% more power.
Keep in mind that charging with QC will get your phone a bit warmer, so phone will start to throttle the current, meaning that you won't be charging from 0% to 100% at full 18W
Yes. It charges with 9v and 1,7 amp max. (9v is static, amp is variable, that means it has only QC 2.0 mode.)
Its way faster than standart charger. I have Tronsmart QC 3.0 charger. But you can go with QC 2.0 charger.

Dash charge 5V 4A from OP to charge MI9

Hello all
Quick question : is my dash charge charger from my ex One plus 3 will do the job for my xiaomi mi9 ?
It is like this one : https://www.amazon.fr/Chargeur-tabl...rge+oneplus+3&qid=1558015037&s=gateway&sr=8-5
It was extremely fast for the one plus, I wonder if I could damage the battery using it on my MI9
OnePlus Dash Charge : 20W
Xiaomi Mi 9 Boxed charger : 18W
Xiaomi Mi 9 supports QC 4+: 27W
So the charger you get in the box is slightly slower, but you can buy a QC4+ charger for ~25-50€ with 27W.
You could also buy a 20W Qi charger, but if have concerns about damaging your battery this should be your last option imo.
You can charge the Mi9 with the OP Dash Charger and it won't damage your phones. I'm not sure if it actually charges with 20W tho. I also switched from the Oneplus 3 to the Mi9 and when i plug in my dash charger it says "fast charging", but i wouldn't say it is faster then the boxed charger.

Thanks
I just tested, and it charges slower with OP dash charge
I have bought the wireless 20w pad charge , and it charges 1% per 40 sec, the pad plugged with the stock xiaomi charger ( who is 18w )
I would like to try a 27W, have you got a link for a good one ?
Have just tried my old OnePlus dash charger and it's the same as a standard normal non quick charge charger, not as fast as the included 18w charger
Anyone tried the oneplus dash charger with the 20w wireless charging pad? Would it throttle the charging speed?
Anyone tried to put diesel into petrol car? Dash charger and QC is whole different charging concept. Dash charger will work like regular charger(max. [email protected]) on every device except Dash equipped devices.
I am not sure why you're being sarcastic.
If you haven't seen a dash charger, I suggest you go take a look. Even if it works like a regular charger (and I want it to be), its output is 5V/4A.
So my question is whether its output can power the xiaomi 20w wireless pad without throttle. I.e. Full charging capability of the wireless pad.

I believe it's not that simple, OnePlus Dash Charge supports 20W charging, BUT that's 5V 4A.
On the other hand, I believe Mi 9 accept max 2A current, so, if you use original OnePlus Dash Charge, it only charges Mi 9 at max 5V 2A = 10W, much slower than use a standard 18W QC 2.0.....

Actually I have 4 Dash Chargers. There are tons of articles, topics here on XDA explaining how Dash Charging works a why it's not working on QC devices at 4Amps. For example:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/accessories/dash-charge-protocol-analysis-t3431917
https://www.guidingtech.com/61180/dash-charging-quick-charge-differences/
Long story short, it delivers 4A only for Dash enabled devices, with Dash cable. To maitain compatiblity with USB standard it can work also as regular 5V/2A charger.
BTW Xiaomi Wirless Pad draw 27W to deliver 20W. Look at the specs, it requires 20V/1,35A input. And you are asking if 5V/4A are enough.

I recomend you to install aida64 on playstore , go to battery and plug the phone to the chargers.
It will say how much energy is going into the phone.
Try it with both chargers

Quick Charge, Power Delivery and USB charging for Realme 7 Pro

Hi, I would like to ask about SuperDart 65W (10V, 6.5A) from Realme 7 Pro. It charges every of its two batteries at 5V and 6.5A (32.5W each) but I found information that it suppots Power Delivery and Quick Charge 18W as well. With PD and QC you can charge the battery at 9V , 12V, 15V etc. but not 10V. Does anyone know at what voltage the smartphone will be charged if you use PD or QC charger?
Is it safe to charge it with higher/less voltage? (e.g. 2x4.5V or 2x6V if 5V is needed for one battery)
And what about the standard 5V chargers and usb 3.1 (e.g laptop)? Is it possible to charge 7 Pro with it?
Generally, all fast charges will drop ther voltage when the connected phone doesn't support it.
With lower voltage you wont have any problems other than the speed of charging, which will obviously decrease
Standard 5V chargers will work just fine
Normal laptop usb will work just fine, in fact you will be lucky if the laptop supports any sort of fast charging at all
You are 100% safe to charge with pretty much any charger to my understandment

Question Xiaomi Slow Charger will give any problem to Mi 11x?

Hi Guys,
I know we always have to use the default charger but this is also a fact that the fast charger is not always good for the phone's battery life. We can use it sometimes when we are really required fast charging.
I have a Xiaomi original charger 5V, 2A. I use to charge my device 20-80% with this charger. My phone will not get heat up like it compared to the situation when I charge with a fast charger.
Please tell me, is there any problem if I'm not using the default charger that comes in the box with the phone? I'm using that cable but with the Xiaomi slow standard charger. Will it be safe for both the phone and charger?
Thanks,
