I opened it up and and it showed for like 2 seconds before the app restarted itself. This happens every time.
In all other ways, Spotify's functionality is normal.
I re-installed the app but nothing changed. I am currently using the latest version of EMUI, on an Honor 10 lite.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

For the past few days, the notification bar, when pulled down, shows my Vibrant downloading Smart Taskbar. Perhaps stopping a download is simple, but I don't know how. Meanwhile, I've uninstalled the app; reinstalled it; rebooted; but the notification remains.
FWIW, my Vibrant is rooted, with stock ROM. I use LauncherPro.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Lol how many times.did you click.download? You said you tried uninstalling it, well leave it delete reboot and see what happens

Initially, I installed once through AppBrain and Fast Web Installer. AFAIK, I've not double installed since. I've also tried rebooting with Quick Boot.
I have wiped and flashed Gingerbread quite a few times. HKTW, then kennethpenn's Beta 4, then Beta 4 with faux123's custom kernel.
Something happened between the flashing and backup/restore through Titanium Backup. Google Music (from the market) runs painfully laggy when it is running in the foreground. What's weird is that I see the FC message pop up for it randomly every 5 minutes, even when I haven't run it yet. (I'm guessing an event is triggering its start)
Anyways. I did disable some things from triggering using Autostarts. Maybe I should set them back.
Anyways, what's even more weird is that once I uninstall Music, another FC, even more annoying, for some Google app framework pops up. (I forget, too lazy) This FC shows up with almost any app at anytime. And, I can neither install nor uninstall apps using the market (the market actual FCs upon trying to do so). Thank God I had a backup of Google Music, but I had to return to its FC problem.
I am probably going to reflash and be careful what I restore, but I'm just wondering...what happened? I'm into IT and development, so I can take what you throw at me.
I'm just not developing for Linux, including Android, yet. I'm mainly into scripting languages right now, but I can learn others fairly easily. Why am I talking about this? xD
Anyways, just a bit curious if anybody knows. I don't exactly know most of the processes that run in the background on Android.

Hi,
My Xperia Z ultra was working fine until 3 hours ago. There were few updates from googleplay, authorised, left in charge, came back 2 hours ago and it has been freezing , shutting and restarting continuously, it freezes the UI , xperia home app and evertything else.
I use it for business and it doing my head.
thank you for your help.
Ok that is weird. My friend just asked me regarding her Xperia Z Ultra. It has the same symptoms as the one you described, and it also happened since 1-2 days ago, when she left the phone on charge, and it updates some applications on google play. I already tried uninstalling some apps to no avail. Removing the SD card lets you navigate your phone longer, but when you try to launch ANY apps (including the option to factory reset your phone) it will immediately freeze, and restart. I might try installing custom ROM in this thing...
Solved
Hi, being for business and out of desperation I have hard reset it. It wasn't easy as it would freeze before I could press the relevant button. What I have done is let the phablet battery die, recharge it completely on off mode, turn it on, follow the link for the reset option, and it worked! It took another 3/4 hours to reinstall everything but so far so good, I hope it helps
got same problem within 2 days,i have two xperia and always hang & restart...any solution ??
Another instance...
I updated 48 apps today on the Google Play Store (i've disabled auto update) and i'm now in a bootloop as well...
I guess it's on of the Sony or Google apps that had an update that would cause this?
I think the issue is related to Xperia Home, will switch to default launcher and check.
Got same problem. Short story: did the factory reset, issue slowed down a bit but still present, now I'm downloading the same stock rom via flash tool and after flashing see if the problem stopped...
same Problem to me. did the factory reset by companion and it worked for two days, no started again with the restart loop and freezing continously... any Infos from Sony...?
I just called the Xperia Support. It is just a Facebook problem. Simply deinstall Facebook app and your mobile will work again without any problems. Facebook has been informed about the issue. when the problem will be solved by Facebook is unknown...
I have C6833 and same symptoms. When I check Sony Diagnoistics app it shows Instagram caused system freeze/crash.
Instagram freezes mobile and then it restarts. Something like overheat protection inside forcing a restart after app freeze.
Also Facebook app crashed when you just start and flashes multiple times.
Those two apps updated by Facebook and I believe some compatibility issue.
Found older version of Facebook from apkmirror and installed.
Now Facebook & Instagram not crashing, mobile not restarting.
JFYI version from June 14th.

Update: I flashed the same stock rom with flashtool and everything is ok now.... It looks like the rom corrupted somehow and the factory reset didn't helped completely...
I also noticed it is caused by the latest Facebook update. Just check the latest reviews now on the play store...
Removed Facebook app (luckily also not part of ROM). Phone now stable and 24/7/365 50% CPU usage dropped to around 20%. The last Facebook update is very bad... Not going to use it anymore on my Ultra... Facebook is now blacklisted for my Z.
Second update: facebook worked for 2 days and again stopped working, messenger constantly showing one unread message which I opened 100 times, but the number notification on icon is still present. Also sometimes a random app freezes, phone looses touch and reboots after some time... Looks like something in hardware is slowly diying...
Solved
As some of you guys found out the culprit is the latest update from FB. After uninstalled it everything is fine .
Thank you for your input.
Recently I have started to encounter an issue where several apps on my Mate 20 pro have been causing system crashes when I attempt to open them. Any music app, my fitness pal, the score and more, I just launch them and they start up, and then crash to desktop.
When I say crash, I mean it closes the app and all my desktop icons dissapear for several seconds while it must be restarting. My Bluetooth also restarts during this.
No amount of restarts, app uninstallation and cache clearing helps.
I am on the most recent version available.
(10.0.0.182)
Anyone able to help?
I have same issuse
Same issue with my Mate 10 pro since a few days (version 10.0.0.183)
Edit : It was the Android System Webview app
Hi, everyone!
I'm using a Huawei P30 and recently got a sprinkler controller as a present. Later I found articles and reviews that said this device is compatible with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, iOS, Android, etc. So I downloaded this Rachio app. For some reason, this app and some others stopped responding. I tried to restart my phone and reinstall these apps, but it doesn't help. Maybe someone had the same or similar problem and already found a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Nora it's possible to get this app running correctly if you had root...

@NoraHensl
Main reason for an ANR ( read: Application Not Responding ) is device's low RAM and/or GHz.
FYI:
An ANR will occur if you are running a process on the UI thread which takes a long time, usually around 5 seconds. During this time the GUI (Graphical User Interface) will lock up which will result in anything the user presses will not be actioned. After the 5 seconds approx has occurred, if the thread still hasn't recovered then an ANR dialogue box is shown informing the user that the application is not responding and will give the user the choice to either wait, in the hope that the app will eventually recover, or to force close the app.
The easiest way to fix an app that keeps crashing on your Android smartphone is to simply force stop it and open it again. To do this, go to Settings -> Apps and select the app that keeps crashing. Tap on the app's name and then tap on 'Force stop'. Now try opening the app again and see if it works well.
