Hi, I have the T-Mobile OnePlus 7T Pro Mclaren Edition and for some weird reason I'm not receiving OTA updates. I'm trying to use the MSM tool to update my device because since I have the T-Mobile version, I can't do local upgrades. However, the MSM tool doesn't recognize my device so therefore I can't upgrade it. ADB works just fine, and the computer recognizes my phone in fastboot mode, just the MSM tool isn't working. Someone please help!

Ive tried these qualcomm drivers, no luck . Computer will not recognize op7t. It use too, prior to " qualcomm crash dump".
I've tried other computers, different operating systems.
ADB, Fastboot, MSM tool not even device manager sees my phone
any other ideas ?

If your using Windows 10, have you tried going to Optional Updates for the driver?

I have ran into something odd. When I attempt to boot into EDL mode , phone just shows a charging battery. Which usually it will not, even
if my phone is being charged ( while off ) there is no on screen battery .

If you're using windows OS, maybe try the generic windows driver instead of the Qualcomm driver, unless you've tried that as well.

After enabling " Show Hidden Devices " within device manager, you can see the list of my offline android devices.
When installing OEM oneplus drivers, I had disabled driver signing.
Platform-tools are up to date.
I've covered everything,
Only this is , I received this "qualcom dump" after a kernel flash. Now when my device is off , and plugged into wall, No on screen battery charger indicator .

I saw the post on the Dora thread. You mentioned that you did a reset from recovery. Did you ever flash back the original boot.img from the ROM you're using?

I assumed that factory reset also reset boot.img !
This might just be my fix! I'll flash and report back.
EDIT:
Cannot find a stock boot img for build number RQ3A.210705.001. ( google comes up as pixel device? perhaps my ROM changed the value within buildprop )
Baseband version SM8150_GEN-PACK-2
Flashed neptune kernel, no change.

Hello pretty nooby ;however, im stuck i recently wanted to try an older cm10.2 rom from the unstable newer ones and decided to go back to cm11 and i decided to reformat my data leaving me emptiness. I am now stuck with not being able to coneect to a device or external storage i can charge though. so please help any solution? im pretty sure i didnt enable mtp and put on debugging... Thx in advance

1. Did you have ADB and fastboot drivers installed?
2. Did you enable USB Debugging?
3. Use USB cable that came with your phone.

Did nada my device cant be recognized i get it recognized and a hazardous driver sign. I cant boot into os i reformatted data now im stuck in cwm and bootloader pretty unique also because this phone doenst allow otg helppp!!!

Man you really don't have a clue do you!!
Why in hell would you need OTG to flash a rom? Do you even know what OTG is?
Stop ignoring people that give you the solution too. It's really bad manners.
So download the stock rom and flash it.
You should spend a day reading up first before you damage the phone permanently.
Sorry if not being clear I have been listening my phone has a hardware issue and I'm not to much of a noob have tried each comment. I'm not to nooby but I have downloaded the drivers my device is not being recognized correctly I have a hazardous icon in device manager on my android phone lg ls970. Let me be clearer I'm sorry for not spelling it out well enough. I have installed drivers many times I have installed the driver however my phone is not being recognized correctly I have uninstalled and tried again. Otg which I looked it up pretty handy in these situations, doesn't work for this phone (due to outputting)I had a cm10.2 kernal which may have had something do do with this. I have come to believe that its a hardware problem with the female port I will try again on another computer tomorrow and see.
What I want to know is why it still recognizes something and if its fixable?

Hello, my friend I'm sorry, but right now there is probably no way, how to make fastboot work on Windows 8.1. Trust me, I've tried to find a solution for many days, but at the end, I had to use borrowed netbook with Windows 7 installed on it. The problem is, that 8.1 always connects fastboot devices as "Unknown USB's". For those you simply can't install these drivers, even if you try using Safe mode, or if you start system with allowance of unsigned drivers. Basicly what's happening is, that windows thinks, you want to reinstall USB driver, not fastboot driver.
I was thinking about the possibility of using older virtualized system or Linux on which it should work (though you won't find many guides). Keep on trying and don't give up You'll manage to unlock it eventually. The question remains, on which system it would be.
Guys I have rooted my phone few years ago. But last year I felt like I needed to unroot and taste official rom again . So i have used triangular remover and put stock rom. But now I really need to root my phone again. But there is no other way to root it. I tried many methods.. like farmaroot(the way i rooted first) and lots of other applications.

I have installed drivers to my pc (windows 10 64 bit) . But it's still the same. But in download mode it shows my device status is official ..

Okay, you should DEFINITELY check Device Manager and double check that you have the Samsung USB drivers installed. If you have then try the following and let me know if it works:
1. Put the phone in download mode.
2. Launch Odin3 v1.85 (download this version and try it please)
3. Connect your GS3 to a different USB slot than you normally use.
I know the basic troubleshooting sounds very boring, and you've most likely tried the above already, but do give it a go and let me know.

thanks mate but it didnt work. I have tried all of those usb ports but it still not getting detected. btw i cant find the samsung kies which i have used in those days in samsung web site. so i have downloaded another version of samsung kies but still i dosent work. also i have tried installing drivers using "unified android toolkit" and it also tried to reinstall the same drivers which i have already installed.
Guys, i have same problem. I have 9300, updated to last OTA. I need to root it, but usb in the phone is broken and no way repair it. Is there any app that can root Samsung 4.3? I'm tired of trying fresh versions of king root, kingo root, baidu root... Etc

I think you should try using a different computer/laptop, I'm not quite sure whether the problem is because of your device or the computer being used.
Do you have another machine that you can try on?

I agree. Windows 10 may not play ball. Try different drivers and/or a pc with an older version of windows. You must reboot the pc each time you change drivers or it won't detect the phone. Use only the usb ports on the motherboard.

Use KingoRoot .apk, as soon as your device is rooted I recommend getting a custom ROM because KingSoft is shady...

I have tried kingroot , kingoroot and many other apks.. none of those work for me. i think all of those working for the devices which have not fixed the exploit

Hi. First of all I want to excuse me that I' m asking a common thing several times threated in other posts.
I'm working now 2 days on getting another rom on my lemax 2.
I have installed the driver for the phone on my windows 7. system manager shows a propper installation. ADB driver's have been installed. The phone is in developper mode and oem and usb debugging is turned on. I switched to MTP and to PTP to make my device visible for ADB. But when I'm trying to see if my computer shows the mobile phone in CMD with the following command "adb devices" there will never be something listed! I tried already a lot... Uninstalling drvers for ADB, tried different drivers... And so on... Does anybody have an idea to help me??

Most likely a problem with the usb driver, did you try another phone? I had the same problems and ended up doining it under linux afther a couple of hours messing in win10.

Linux definitely is the better choice.
The fastboot drivers are different from the ADB drivers, and in Windows 10 you might have to switch the driver after fastbooting the phone.
It's really really silly and took me hours to find out.
You can change them in device manager, find the USB device there and update its driver. You don't need one from the web, just take the fastboot one from the list that Windows offers.

I have no second android phone to test. But I tried already on OS Win 7 & 10 with different drivers on Win 7 as well. On win 10 the driver was already given by Windows, no need to install. I think that the problem has something to do with the phone, but I can't find the problem. It must be something with authorisation, that Win Os will recognize the Leeco correctly to have access.
I finally found a good working driver for WIN 10. I found it from a Chinese chatting group, so use it at your own risk.

After reinstalling Windows7 32-bit on my laptop, I ran into the same issue as you guys here. What I did was to install pdanet and the adb interface worked. However, I could not get into the QDLoader 9008 and also Diagnostic Driver was not working, simply the drivers could not get installed no matter what I tried. I searched quite a lot of time how to get make it work and looks like there was a zip "QDLoader HS-USB Driver". You can google it and it has 32-bit and 64-bit installations. I am not very sure if I had to install pdanet but that was the first step to make it work, at least to have adb.
I'm sure that you guys found the answer already, but I wanted to help others as well if they run into the same issue.

if you're sure it's not a driver issue you can try the following (solved the problem for me):
on your windows machine navigate to "c:\users\<insert your user name here>\.android" and delete the file "adbkey".
either jump directly to the folder or turn on hidden/os files in explorer and navigate there.
now plug in your phone, the rsa-key dialog should pop up.
if not, that wasn't your problem.
btw. i'm using "universal adb installer".

This Method Works Perfectly.... After Enabling the AT port.. the drivers begin installing immediately. Have Patience. They will all install.
LeEco le2 is not showing up under adb devices list... tried damn lot of drivers ...What do I do??
You should post a Screenshot of your devicemanager becsuse that information is not enough.

Hi. I'm sorry if i'm not posting in the good place but y'all are my last solution before mental breakdown lol .
basically now when i connect my phone to pc (tried three different cable and the one coming in the phone phone too) i get a "cannot recognize usb" msg thing and in my device manager it says "Unknown USB Device Descriptor Request Failed" . so i can't no more boot my phone into download mode .

The latest version of SmartSwitch should have it unless Samsung didn't update it

In device management, scan for new drives command, can you see it then?
Check Event Viewer for error messages too.

The PC isn't detecting it. Yeah... you probably can't roll back to 10 either. 12 is worse. It's a trap. Try another PC...

What has the fact you can't boot phone into EDL-mode to do with default Windows 11 OS USB- driver ( what is USB Generic Parent Driver - Usbccgp.sys )?
If suitable ADB-driver is installed on PC then you can boot the phone into EDL-mode ( AKA Download mode ).

FYI:
Please keep in mind that Windows app Odin only works flawlessly when phone is booted in the EDL.

ok i tried with another pc and even a new cable that came with a keyboard so ik it got data and power , still the same error on the two pc so i guess the problem is from my phone ?

Think back to when this started. What was added or changed? You can still do a factory reset from Settings. The new Samsung's are fubar... I don't need any external connection to invoke the boot menu on my N10+'s.
Another reason not to use Samsung again.

yeah gonna reset to see if it can fix my problem because i don't remember what i could've tweaked lol , i'll report back if it's still broken
still not working i give up with this phone for now maybe it will fix it self one day. thanks a lot for trying to help tho ^^
