"This week Huawei is rolling out a new build B320 to Mate2 testers. The update was already to provided to small group of our "UUF" testers, and we were told that it would be delivered by OTA to devices that had previously installed the first public build B309. Yesterday I told testers that the OTA update would arrive by today, but that does not appear to have happened yet. If you are still on B309 and you would like to download B320, please send me a private message with your gmail and I will share it with you."
Sent from my MT2L03 using XDA Free mobile app
Just received the B20 OTA update on my HAM. I am not a beta tester. Haven't even tested it out yet. Still upgrading as we speak.
Error installing B320 with TWRP-L
gettting:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/bin/appp_process32"...)
and
E:unknown command [update_log]
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/data/media/0/HwOUC/update_sign.zip'
E: Error installing zip file '/data/media/0/HwOUC/update_sign.zip'
Any way around this?
When I tried to download and install it, it verified the download and when it rebooted it rebooted into TWRP but when I told it to reboot the system from the menu It was still B309 and not B320.trying to download it again now. If this doesn't work I may just have to get the update files and install it that way.

tried that and it got to about 27% and said install failed so I will probably just flash the files when I can get them.

Rerun B309 then update. Harris said that worked for him.

Was able to get it installed, had to use the cleanup option in SuperSU to remove root then it worked. In the process of resetting up my root apps now. Does anybody know if this update fixes the Stagefright exploit that was recently discovered it wasn't in the update log .
I have two questions:
1. I checked for OTA updates, but I got "No Updates". Can we download the update manually.
2. I have TWRP installed. Does anyone have stock recovery for Lollipop because I didn't backup mine.

Surprisingly, I checked for OTA update just now and bam! I'm downloading it. I basically haven't uninstalled any system app. However, I have root access. Did you have to uninstall root ?
I had to for it to finish install. Also had to flash stock recovery. Used the cleanup option in SuperSU and then did the install.
What does 320 fix? Still not sure if I want to update from JB yet because I want my Xposed modules!

Never had root. Just TWRP recovery so I could get my Wind version HAM to a OEM version.

Yes, but by updating to Lollipop you effectively had the stock recovery; not TWRP. Did you install TWRP after you upgraded to Lollipop ?

Oh, damn, forgot about that. Good point. No, I did not, so I would have stock recovery. Never thought about the update after the fact to LP. My bad.
So, the question now is, how can I get Lollipop stock recovery back ? I didn't back it up when I installed TWRP because I presumed I'll just download it when I need it and flash it over TWRP as I did with JB. Anyone ?
Could you downgrade to JB and then upgrade to LP again? Wouldn't that ensure you get stock recovery back?
I'm not going to even try that. Can you imagine how long that'll take ?
So I installed latest available fastboot ROM (8.2.4) .
But, it has still not received any update and when I try to update via updater app, it says can't verify update.
(Bootloader is locked)
Any help will be appreciated

unknown issue
I successfully flashed s223 version. After flashing, it automatically removed TWRP and flashed the stock recovery. After flashing s223, I got an OTA update of s229 of 76mb. I downloaded the update and tried to install it through the Stock recovery, but it shows update not installed, it simply fails. But when I turn ON the phone it shows that System update is successfully updated on the Notification panel. It shows, it fails while updating through the Stock recovery but it shows that it was successfully updated on the Notification panel. What is the issue?? Please tell me.
ota update from s223 to s229 is not successful.
Thank you friend.
The initial update from 6.0.1 to 7.0 (s223) is successful using this method. But then, update from s223 to s229 is not successful when i tried the same way. I mean, i just opened the updater-script and then removed the lines as mentioned. But it didn't work out and i am getting the attached error (Error 7). Also my recovery is still on twrp after flashing the s223. I am not sure if there is any other way to get the OTAs installed without errors. Please help.
I've unlocked the boot loader and rooted and now I am getting a message from MOTO that they are trying to update my device and it failed.
How do I stop this or update my phone?
Thanks

You don't want to install ota updates, if device is rooted.
There should be a toggle in dev options to stop updates.
Use LMSA'S update option

But that says to apply the TWRP OTA, there presently is no TWRP for this model phone, there's Sophia, not Borneo. I read before to simply flash back stock boot.img (from that Lenovo software) and then update, then patch the boot.img in Magisk and flash that back. Can't find that posting saying that anymore, but can't afford to have a brick by doing the TWRP thing and it not working right.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

This is official magisk OTA instructions

But because moto OTA installs fail so often I usually just use LMSA's update option
and patch the the new boot.img
It's a longer process, but it works.
just verify the firmware LMSA download matches your device Model # (XT2117-X) and Channel (RetUS, RetCA...)

yeah, it seems to have broken mine, and no update in LMSA yet. But I've been wanting to roll back and try a restore using https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...20-migrate-custom-rom-migration-tool.3862763/ So I just put to stock and rooted like immediately on boot, skipped google sign-in, and adb installed the flasher apk. Here's hoping it works, and if so, it's a darn simple way to carry things across

Hi,
Is it possible to install an OTA update with your bootloader unlocked?
I'm trying to go from DN2103_11_A.19 to A.20 and it keeps failing. Error: "Verification problem"
Thanks.
having the same issue. I tried flashing the OTA update zip by following the instructions from the "Oxygen Updater" app, but once i get into the recovery, i cannot browse local storage to select the update zip. so guess we are stuck on A.19 for now.

Yes this is the ota update package you can download with Oxygen updater. But we cannot flash it due to verification error. Haven't you read OP's post?
