Hello friends, i'm wondering if i can use the animated logo (while starting the phone) in some of the rom it has a cool animated picture, can i use it as a wallpaper for the phone?
and if it is possible..where can i find the file on the device so i can select it ?
thanx alot
have a gr8 day
you can use any moving gif image with some program from the market called
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.direxar.animgiflivewallpaper2&hl=el
or any similar program
but the bootanimation ist only a group of pictures (*.png)... so i think its not so easy to use it for livewallpaper.
bootanimation.zip shall be found in system/media or system/customize/resource/
Bootanimation is located in /system/media/ as zip file. Copy this bootanimation.zip file to your PC and extract it. You will get a few png files. Rename these png files to 1.png, 2.png, 3.png, 4.png... Copy these renamed files to SD card, for example to sdcard://mylivewp folder.
Install from market LWP Creator and in the LWP Creator set the folder path to sdcard://mylivewp.
okay, i don't know that it is so easy... thanks!
thx it's really cool
i've just fund an app, which allows you to use a bootanimation as a wallpaper...

There are many links here of roms that are stored on mediafire.
I often get disconnections on my phone and it is not possible for me to download a whole 90mb file without resume support.
Is there any way to save these mediafire files directly to dropbox (or other cloud storage)?
Or else, is there any way I get resume support on mediafire?
Here are the stock Samsung boot and shutdown animations for Galaxy S III.
I have a branded phone so was after these and I saw another post from someone requesting them, I figure there are probably other people wanting their phone to appear less branded without having to reflash their phone.
I couldn't find these files anywhere else on xda, apologies if this is a double post.
This requires root access and a file manager/explorer capable of accessing the system folder of your phone.
If you don't already have a file manager/explorer capable of accessing the system folder, you can download ES File Explorer from the Play Store free. In ES File Explorer you will need to enable the options:
Up to Root
Root Explorer
Mount File System
I don't know how to write scripts so I can't make a CWR zip to install these, if anyone would like to take the time then by all means take these files, package it up and post it.
I tried taking some pictures of the animations with my SGS1 but the photos were out of focus so no point posting them.
Instructions:
Extract files from zip.
Copy bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg to /system/media/
Copy shutdown.qmg to /system/media/video/shutdown/
Reboot and enjoy the pretty Samsung animations.
Worked like a charm, thanks!
A nice touch I just noticed is that the LED pulses from light to dark blue while shutting down/starting up. Neato!
So I have seen many guys here complaining to host any file/ROM on xyz site because of their limited bandwidth or non-resumable downloads . Well if you use cloud downloading feature in UC browser your downloads won't fail, still if for any reason you don't use the feature and your download fails there's a simple trick with which you can resume downloads almost 95% of times . just follow these few simple steps
1. First go to your file manager and open UCDownloads folder.
2. Now select your failed download file and download template , in my case it's S5 Styled S6 port , and move it to your root folder .
3. Now go to UC browser , open your downloads and delete the download.
4. Now again start your download from whichever site you have downloaded from and pause your download.
5. Go to your file manager again and move your previously moved files to the UCDownloads folder again.
6. Resume your download from UC browser .
It's that simple to resume your download [emoji3] .
Why exactly root folder?
Well you can move it anywhere root folder isn't necessary and root folder means your internal Storage's first directory i.e. Sdcard (not external SD )
Ok,thanx a lot
I tried your method and its working
Its Not Working in my phone, There An other Way To ReSume Download
