I took the OTA update for my AT&T LM-V600AM (LGV60). This put me onto software version "V600AM10w", with the December 1st, 2020 security patch. I have attached screen shot. Since the update, my AOD (always-on-display) will not work. I have deleted the cache and restarted, I have deleted and redownloaded the AOD's I wanted and reinstalled them. I have toggled the AOD on and off. No luck. I am out of ideas. Does anyone have a clue? phone info here.
Does it do anything when you set it to only display for 10 seconds? Do you have a Google nest device that sends you notifications?

Thanks for your reply!
I did a factory reset in an attempt to fix this. No luck. I believe it was the last software update that caused this.
No to Google Nest.
If I set it to display for 10 seconds, it flashes rapidly.... it blinks on and off very fast. Eventually it stops blinking on and off very fast and just disappears.
If I set it to always on, it does nothing. Screen just goes blank.

Yes, mine does the exact same thing. But I found it was the nest notification on my device. As soon as I swipe it away my AOD works properly again. I wonder if it is a notification of some sort on yours too? I also factory reset and all that, turns out for no reason.
You might be on to something. I cleared all my notifications and let the AOD kick in and it is fine. I guess I just need to figure out which one it is.

I have found that when I had set up the Bedtime Mode in the Digital Wellbeing settings that unless you turn off the "Keep the screen dark" in the Bedtime Mode customizations, the AOD will go dark. I hope this helps.

This seems an overly obvious question. Does the watch have vibrate? I just got it two days ago, but no setting of vibrate anywhere seems to make it shake. I would think I'd have run across someone else saying something if it lacked the ability...
So, kinda wondering if mine is broken or if I totally missed that it isn't there.
Thanks

Mine vibrated yesterday and now it wont vibrate. If you scroll down from the top on your home screen, click the icon in the top right corner, that should bring up your wifi, airplane mode, gps, battery, etc icons. If you scroll down to audio profiles, there is one called meeting that has a picture of a phone vibrating. That should make calls and messages vibrate your phone. You can also manually turn them on because if you go to settings/device/audio profile/settings for general where you can select vibrate plus ring, and if you scroll down there is an option for vibrate on touch. Even though I have both these settings checked, and they used to work, they are no longer working. I tried a factory reset, and that didn't fix it. Now, when I power on my watch, I get a message that says headphones disconnected. It seemed to stop working after I started getting this message, not sure if that is normal or if it has anything to do with it. I will let you know if I figure out a way to get mine vibrating again, but for now it looks like mine could be broken. Can anyone else chime in on this if this has happened to you?

It does vibrate. But very few things use that function it seems. I was thinking about setting up a tasker script to vibrate on any notification.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get mine vibrating again? I've done the backup and restore option, is that how you do a proper factory reset, or is there another way I can try to get this thing to start working again?
update: Just flashed 1900_20140120 firmware using the excellent guide on here, and still no vibrate

Mine started working. Not sure why; I tried to reset to factory and despite following the directions and watching Loki's video, i managed to lock the watch up. Popped the battery, put it back together, wiped the device. Now it vibrates and that is good. Just wish i knew what I had did that fixed it.
Thanks all!
Jd
Mine does not vibrate either, never did.
I tried with the stock firmware, Loki's firmware, stock with enhanced security... no luck...
Thoughts?

Mine started vibrating again. I went to take the battery out, but couldn't get the screws off, so I gave up, when I rebooted, all the sudden vibrate worked again. Not sure if it was powering it on and off a few times, or shaking it around, try taking the battery out and putting it back in if you can, if not, just try turning it off and then on and maybe lightly shaking it around
Well,
It looks like a bad electrical contact, I've downloaded an app called "vibrater" that does just what it says, and it won't start the vibrator until I lightly tap the watch on it's side while the app is turning the vibrator on.
But it does not stick. I guess I will have to return the watch to have it fixed...
Until tonight, I thought the TrueSmart just didn't have a vibrator...
Vibration doesnt work
Hey, just received my Omate Trusmart! (Kickstarter edition)
Overall I am extremely happy with the watch, but there are a couple of major problems:
1. The vibration doesn't work, I have tried rebooting, factory restore etc but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know a fix to this or is it a hardware problem?
2. My screen has very faint dark spots in the center. Looks like a manufacturing defect.
Is it possible to return the watch to get a replacement? I havent opened the back cover yet.
Thanks.
Hi,
When i push the notification, I'm sent to into accessibility settings, here i can't see talkback anywhere. I have pushbullet and Dashlane asking for accessibilityll. I have turn galaxy talkback on and off. But no matter What i do the icon is there. There's no voice annoying me- just the alert. Does anybody else have this problem or possible solutions?

I have the same issue as well. Samsung even remotenaccessed phone and they couldnt fix it.
I did a factory reset some days ago and it went away. But last night i did a reboot and then blam it was back.
I factory reset as well. Luckily It has not come back. I have been making notes of updates or changes that I make to determine what causes this. The first time I noticed this was the second day I had the phone. I decided to register more fingerprints. When I did some b1tch started telling the percentage. After that I could not get talkback notification to go away.
This time I setup all my fingerprints immediately after resetting the phone. I will keep everyone posted if I determine what caused it.

Thanks for the update, hope someone findes a solution soon.
I've noticed over the past 2 weeks or so that all of a sudden the phone sometimes doesn't bother with the lock screen. I'll double tap to wake and it'll go right to the home screen (or to whatever app I was in last). This happens with or without notifications. I thought it was something caused by Evolve because it seemed to stop once I cleared data/froze it with Titanium but it's started back up again.
Running Android M, rooted, with Xposed. However, I have not installed any new modules or done any system updates during this time. All of the phone settings look correct, and are unchanged, and there isn't a setting for 'skip the lockscreen like 30% of the time' anyway.
Anyone have any ideas? Could it be an app causing this? I believe those are the only things that have been updated.
Something like Greenify?
Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting would help. Thanks.
Still fighting with this. Anyone else? Removed everything I could find that wasn't being used. Wiped data for lockscreen settings. Wiped cache/dalvik. At a loss here. It's really annoying!
Only thing I can think of is that Power Key Instantly Locks is turned off.

it's on, and lock timer is set to immediately.
doesn't seem to have any relation to time. sometimes I'll pick the phone up after an hour and it'll go right in without the lock screen.

Sorry, I don't have any other ideas. Maybe someone else can be better help.
Still driving me nuts. I thought I had solved it by turning off 'battery optimizations' for anything always-on/lock screen related but that wasn't the answer. Reflashed the rom, still having the issue. Might need to reflash with a full wipe I guess.
I'd rather just move to Nougat but I can't get xposed to work properly. Life is hard haha.
in case anyone finds this thread when dealing with the same issue: Android Wear was the culprit. wakelock detector pointed me in that direction and once i uninstalled it, the problem stopped immediately and has not returned.
Running latest pie update phone started shutting of yesterday when the screen is turned off. Anyone else having this issue?
No micro SD in it and I've done a factory reset.

Same here. After a factory reset, for me, it's a little better, but there are certain things that I can't do. For instance, if I try to register my finger prints or change my pin, it shuts down.
I also noticed that the Samsung+ app doesn't work. I get a red screen and an exception error when I launch it.
S22+ on Verizon (Locked). I’ve had the phone since launch with no major issues. I received the March update on Friday the 18th. Since then, I have lost my network at least once every day. I get the message “Your phone’s not registered on a network so you can only make emergency calls.” Restarting or toggling Airplane mode on and off will correct it temporarily. I’ve gone into Settings>General Management>Reset, and reset the network settings, but that hasn’t corrected the problem. Anyone else with this issue? What else can I try?

Have you tried a factory reset? That's usually recommended after each update
The only time I do that is after an Android version update. The phone is only a month old, and this is the first update. I will if nothing else works.
So every month when you get a security update you do a factory reset and set up your phone again, reinstalling your apps?
never heard of that issue, normally you wouldn't factory reset after a security update. maybe try clearing cache in recovery mode?

Just a regular restart is enough after an update why do we have to factory reset each time??

If I find my device behaving in a weird way after any type of update, I usually just factory reset said device. Now, for starters, I do have a micro sd, on which I store all my data. So, instead of wasting time trying to find out the culprit app/update, I hit factory reset. Cleans up everything I don't need, frees more space and the time required to reinstall all my apps is just around 5 minutes. For example, I had this phone for 2 years and had 10 factory resets so far.
have you contacted your carrier yet? if your phone keeps showing 'not registered' error message then it's likely that SIM should be replaced or the carrier side made some sort of error from their end and keeps dropping your phone from being recognized as registered.
I've seen one case that the phone was not listed as US device during an update and pretty much de-registered some people's phones. Random stupid things do happen
I think I might have fixed it by deleting system cache. Also did a forced restart. It is an intermittent problem.

So you actually keep the phone 24/24 powered on? I turn off mine every night.
I leave my phone on always. Usually restart once a week.
Issue returned. It is just so random. I cleaned and reseated the SIM card. If I get time I will visit the Verizon store tomorrow.
I would think it's something software issue that samsung engineers need to look into.
If you haven't already, submit error report after seeing the issue again.
Samsung members app > get help > error report
Thanks, I will do that.
