Which US V60 versions support LTE B3 and B20 bands? - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Trying to figure out, which unlocked US carrier versions of LG V60 support LTE B3 and B20 bands so I could use it in Georgia (Republic, not a state)

Have you solve your problem ?
I also have to have LTE bands B3 B7 B20 for using in EU region.

You don't.
Instead you convert US998 to Canada H933. H933 has band 8.
GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100

Follow the Frankenstein instructions, but go the other way...
* Flash back to US998 Nougat,
* then to H933 Nougat.
* Master Reset.
* Then flash to H933 Oreo KDZor H933 Pie KDZ.

Not if you follow the Frankenstein instructions correctly. All North American variants can be converted to all other North American variants -- EXCEPT for T-Mobile H932.
The Frankenstein instructions I wrote are for converting to US998. You are just going the other way. See my post above. And go read the Frankenstein instructions. VERY important you downgrade to Nougat first!

Well, first you only mentioned LTE band 8. And you have US998. So, that's easily solved. Convert to Canada H933.
H933
2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
3G UMTS (HSPA): 850/1700/1900/2100
4G LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/20/25/29/30/66
US998
CDMA: 800 MHz CDMA
2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G UMTS (HSPA):850/900/1900/2100 MHz
4G LTE Bands: 1/2/3/4/5/7/12(17)/13/20/25/66
AMAZINGLY, every North American V30/V30+/V30S can be completely converted to any other -- EXCEPT for T-mobile H932. But this cross flashing/conversion (IF DONE RIGHT!) includes LS998, US998, AS998, Verizon VS996, AT&T H931, Canada H933, Puerto Rico H932PR (NOT to be confused with T-mobile H932!) 7 DIFFERENT North American models you can convert to another and change LTE bands!
HOWEVER, you can NOT cross flash H930 variant modems (H930, H930D, H930DS, H930G) with North America variant modems.
So, you can either have US998 or you can have H933 -- or one of the other North American variants if you flash those KDZ. (AT&T H931 has LTE band 40, but doesn't have LTE band 8.) If you don't have one of the LTE bands, you can drop down to 3G during that time.
Someone else from Indonesia posted few weeks ago, so I understand your situation. As I told him, if he needed an H930DS, he should have bought an H930DS. I'm sorry, I don't have any other answers.

Yes. Once on H933 Nougat, you can Refurbish to H933 Pie.

H933 doesn't have fastboot flash commands. That's why in the "WTF Instructions" all North American variants (except for T-Mobile H932) have to temporarily convert to US998 to bootloader unlock phones and install TWRP. Of all the North American variants, only USS98 has fastboot flash commands.
So, they use Frankenstein instructions to convert to US998. If they then want to go back to their previous firmware (while keeping TWRP), they have to use TWRP flashable zip (basically a stock ROM) for thier firmware.
Is that why you're asking about fastboot? To unlock bootloader and install TWRP custom recovery and root?

The same WTF Instructions which tell how to unlock the bootloader also tell how to install TWRP and root.
You had to convert back to US998.
Section 5 was unlocking the bootloader.
Section 6 of WTF Instructions is installing TWRP and root.
So, I'm puzzled. If you indeed unlocked the Bootloader using the WTF INSTRUCTIONS you would have already known that. There's something I'm probably not understanding about your question -- or you haven't actually unlocked the bootloader yet?
Read the Instructions in a web browswer, not an app.

Flashing H933 Stock to US998 Stock Firmware Possible?

I was wondering if its possible to flash a H933 firmware stock, to a US998 V30, the reason why I am asking, is because the US998 does not have the AWS band on the 3G and only on the LTE, would this be possible. Without running a custom firmware. Because I need the AWS bands on 3G bands.
Because my carrier works on the AWS bands on the 3G as I dont have LTE. And If it does work, how would be the best way to proceed.
Thanks.

[Question] SM-G965F/DS Bands Operation

Hello
I currently have a Galaxy S9 + version G965F / DS which has problems with one of my carriers.
I am in Argentina, and with Claro and Personal I have a signal correctly, but with Movistar, I can rarely make it work.
Personal uses bands B2, B4, B5, B7 and B28.
Claro uses bands B2, B4 and B5
Movistar uses bands B2, B4, B5 and B28.
Can somehow corroborate which bands the device supports, and in case you need to enable an additional one, load it manually?
The code of the device is: SM-G965FZKDXSG
Thank you!

You shouldn't have any issue at all with any of the three operators.... I'm using in Argentina the same SM-G965F/DS...
I've use it before with Claro, no issues at all, and I'm currently using it with Movistar, with LTE, VoLTE and VoWifi enabled (Also Movistar in some places uses Band 7 instead of 4 for LTE)
So no matter with mobile operator you use, it'll work with all of them in both modems.
To check which bands the phone supports you can always use GSMArena.com https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s9+-8967.php#g965f-ds
I have an S7 Edge Duos, an S8+ Duos, and the S9+ Duos from emirates too (I bought all of them there), so even the firmware allows all capabilites to be used here.
Also, You can't load or unlock manually required bands... that's part of the modem, you should check before buying if the phone's modem support the bands required to be used in the country.
