Hello everyone! Happy new year!
I can't seem to be able to boot into download mode (by powering off -> holding vol+ -> connecting usb to pc) on my LM850EMW 20a.
it briefly tries to enter the download mode then the following screen shows up.
Maybe if I manage to overwrite the laf partition I'd be able to boot into it? Would anyone be kind enough to upload it so I could try?
Boot into EDL mode, flash abl_a abl_b laf_a laf_b from your KDZ.

I) VERIFY YOU'RE HARD BRICKED OR SOFT:
1) try to acces the fastboot mode by one of this way :
- vol up + power button for 5sec
- or holding up and power (or down and power ) for 5sec
- pressing on the down volume button when i plugged in the charger
- try to charge it for a long time, device off. Just to see if the fastboot mode appear.
2)try to access other boot modes:
https://plus.google.com/108681323981779236254/posts/Xw4Hv1vXWGG
- "Safe Mode" disables your add-ons and other apps, boots to stock launcher.
Saves you (somewhat) after installing something bad
- "force update" make the device look into the dload folder, and turn into update process
- "acessing recovery" boot in recovery
If the fastboot mode doesn't appear, you can try safe mode first, see if it boots. Then force update, with having put a complete ROM int a dload folder of your SD card. Then after recovery mode, but I guess you try it already.
II) USE ADB IF FASTBOOT MODE IS REACHED
ADB use for flashing boot /recovery /system:

III) TRY "UNLOCK BOOTLOADER" SOFTWARE
it saved some damaged bootloader before

(google translate it!)

I have a lenovo ZUK Z2 plus and i tried to flash with twrp an another twrp version(newer) ...after the restart phone stack at options menu and the only thing i can do is to boot in fastboot...when i hit the "recovery" option phone restarts in options menu... if i boot regularly phone stack at logo screen of ZUK and does not boot up, just stack there forever.
Options that ti have done and nothing:
i downloaded platform tools(adb, fastboot etc...) and i flashed twrp recovery img again with these commands "fastboot flash recovery xxx.img" and when i booted to recovery nothing happened, again at options menu or fastboot mode.. anywhere else..
can you help me please ? i am begging you.

Good Luck
so I've messed up with my phone a-lot and im in some sort of soft bricked mode right now..
I've had some xposed module that boot looped me so I've tried some wiping in recovery untill I deleted the whole system by accident..
So I've flashed a few ROMs, nothing happened, untill one of them also deleted my TWRP..
Now when the phone boots it shows:
LG logo >(the unlocked bootloader message is gone)> LG animation > Encryping white window with "Reset phone" button that does nothing..
I can get to download mode by long pressing volume up + plugging cable
I can't get into fastboot mode by long pressing volume down + plugging cable
going to recovery (power off > hold volume down + power > logo > let go power > hold power again (keep holding volume down always)) bring me to the Factory data reset window > clicking yes twice makes a reboot (I think it actually factory reseting..)
I assume that my path now is: go to fastboot > flash TWRP (*) > flash some ROM
I'm stuck on entering the fastboot mode..
any suggestion how to further proceed?
any idea will be useful
(*) the TWRP as it probably been deleted
(**) I assume (and really hopes so) that I didn't relocked my bootloader somehow.. I don't think I can unlock it again somehow, I can't use adb (I can't get usb debugging as the phone wont boot).. is there a way to unlock bootloader on bricked device?
well.. I solved it..
I found this link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/bring-lg-g5-to-life-download-mode-lgup-t3565508
which basically reference to this link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
which basically tell you to download this "uppercut" software that can flash things (I was connected via download mode), so I flashed the ROM it linked (some kdz file 1.8GB named after your specific device (which is shown on the uppercut software).).. and it reboots to new stock ROM..
Now I can mess up my phone again until next time
Hi,
I tried to flash lineageos 16 on my bkl09 emui9.
It was working but it was impossible to install app by play store... I tried many times to re-flash lineage img.
I'm actually blocked on TWRP. But it doesn't launch. When i start my phone, it boots on twrp, and the phone stays on the twrp boot screen but doesn't launch.
I can't turn the phone into fastboot mod by pressing vol- and power . It just restarts and reboot recovery twrp and block on boot screen twrp without launching...
I plug my phone on my computer, it reconized as adb devices but when I try to turn into fastboot mode by adb, nothing happen...
I hope there's a solution !
(and sorry for my english ... :/
power off the phone, put USB port in phone, press volume down key, now connect USB port to PC with volume down key press. it should boot to fastboot.

hi. Please, help, i cant reboot to fsstboot. If i do this from app or from adb my phone just reboots twice. I can boot into recovery and into download mode
Don't reboot into fastboot, boot into fastboot.
1st hold the up and down and power to start up so that it shows more than that "...is now booting". Then power off and press "down" and "power" with USB plugged to enter fastbboot. In fastbbot, flash the userdata.img and the cache.img (This cleans data and cache totally) from Huawei's updates, then you will be able to get into TWRP without being stucked.
How can i remove the factory mode on my device, which is not allowing me to enter recovery mode?
When i turn my device on and hold the volume up button, instead of booting to recovery mode, the device boots into factory mode (which has a chinese factory mode menu). Due to this i cannot enter recovery mode without plugging the device into the PC and then running adb/fastboot then booting to recovery mode. Hence should anything go wrong with my device and it doesnt boot fully, i will be stuck with no access to a recovery mode. (as i wouldnt be able to use adb to get to the recovery mode)
P.S ive tried all combinations of buttons (i.e holding volume down as well with the power button) and it still goes to factory mode rather than recovery mode.
It is a mediatek device, can i unpack and make changes to the boot.img/system.img and then repack them and flash it back onto the device to resolve the issue or is there another way where i can boot to recovery mode without having to load up adb/fastboot first?
