Good Day XDA community!
May I ask for your help regarding this frustratingly odd error that has been plaguing my Android device?
Does anyone know the probable cause why an error 495 pops up whenever I try to update or download an app? I'm currently using a stock Android L 5.1.1 device with the latest updates installed.
I tried the following steps to resolve the issue but to no avail:
- Cleared the Cache, Data and uninstalled updates of Google Play Store
- Cleared Cache and Data of Download Manager
- Tried installing an app from PC (Play Store accessed in browser)
- Removed and re-added my Google Account.
- Factory Reset (thrice already!)
Can someone help me? All my other devices (1 Android L 5.0 and 1 Android 5.1) can download and update apps flawlessly from Google Play Store. They are all on the same Wi-Fi network.
Thank you!
Hey guys,
I bought a Honor 7 PLK-AL10 in China. I could install google apps an has no trouble to use it. Now I downloaded the samsung apk to use the Gear S2 with the phone. Everything works almost fine.
But now I'm having trouble to install apk's via 1 mobile market or even to install new gear apps like individual watches. I always get the message "Can't install app". Unknown sources are activated.
Google play apps still working.
Any idea how to solve this problem?

I am owner of a PLK-AL10 as well but the google play it doesnt work anymore since i update it to B190 version.
pls inform which version is yours and how you installed the google play store

try to un-install from device and install new version
the google play can not update any app its aready install on honor 7 because google play not part of system fixed .... so when update remove old version and install new version

Hi guys, I've tried tonnes of ways of installing Google Play Services and Google Play on my phone but every time I just get the "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped" message when trying to use Google Play.
So, I'm using a Motorola Moto G x1039 LTE, running Cyanogenmod 13.0 nightly (Android 6.0.1) that I just updated today from CM12, so my phone has been factory reset. I've installed several versions of G.P.S. and G.P. but I get the same message every time. I'm currently sideloading the apks from my computer. Everything else about the phone seems to work fine. I've tried restarting the phone, clearing the caches, enabling app permissions etc. but nothing seems to work.
Any clues?
Thanks
Last night I tried to open Google play to download an app and I got this error message "Google Play Store has stopped" I've tried every single solution I could find listed on the internet and I can't fix this issue.
I've cleared cache/data, made sure downloads app was enabled, reset app settings, disabled the play store, installed an earlier version using an apk, I even booted into safe mode and still I can't get Google Play Store to work.
I'm using an S9 G960F with Android version 8.0.0 Samsung Experience version 9.0, 1 June 2018 Security Patch Level
Play Store version is 11.1.30-all
Edit: Just realised that the Google App doesn't work either; when I open it it gives me the error: Google has stopped.
You did not say if Google would give option to log in? Sometimes if you disable Google acct & log back in that gets you back in?

I tried that too, deleted my google account, re-added it and still the apps keep crashing.

If you have any experience in flashing in twrp and stuff...
Then if you are rooted then uninstall all gapps in your rom by searching google in titanium backup....
Then downloads gapps for your android version and flash in recovery....
Not sure but hope this will work
Thanks to everyone that replied. Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been busy with work and stuff. Anyway, it turns out the issue was caused by Swift Installer a theme app. I updated the theme overlay and it fixed the issues.
I have a lenovo Tab 2 10f
recently there was a update for YouTube and when i tried to install it google play wouldn't install it and neither updated other apps.
since i wanted to format my tab i decided to format and flash the rom again for a fresh start.
but now the issue still persist.
the google play dosent update apps as well and sometime shows app not installed.
and dosent update the apps and gives error 504
i tried some some solution for error 4504 but none worked.
please help.
