Hello people!
I would like to ask you a question about accessing a txt file in android os. I have an app on my smartphone which is receiving data from bluetooth and writing it down to a txt file continuously. I need to work with this data in real time. So i would like to write a small app, that should read the txt file while the other app is still writing to the very same text file. Is it possible for two apps accesing the same file on android os? Thanks for any answer!
Gratefully Jan

I have Galaxy 3 with Kyrrilos 8.1 and in root of my sdcard is hidden file .config_c38
Does anybody knows what this file is and from which application? Does anyone have this file too?
I tried to delete it but it always immediately appears again.
It's a text file obviously with some configuration setting. Inside is a text of about 100 characters without spaces and starts with zdyFt8GYHJH....etc
Interests me too.
I had that file on SD at the time I was testing various apps for my phone, so the file was from one of that apps. But now I don't have that file anymore, so it has to be from some of the app I don't use anymore. I never found out which one.
More than that I can't help you.
Hi
i want to include web images in my app but i dont want to have the url in the sourcecode, i want a txt file that is hosted on the server to tell the app where to find the images. Is that possible?
Yes, of couse... it's possible. There are a lot of ways to do but one that I'm thinking is:
The text file can be a .properties file of java in wich you set the ursl as follows:
url1=example.com/someimage1.png
url2=example.com/someimage2.png
url3=example.com/someimage3.png
...
And then you only have to download the file on the app launch and read the key value pairs using the Properties class of Java SE.
thanks a lot. i am still pretty much a noob in app development, i hope i am able to do that. =)

Try This:
1. WhatsApp stores a backup of all conversations in the SD Card. It can be accessed by doing the following:
1. Install a File Manager such as Astro File Manager, on BlueStacks
2. Navigate to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/
3. The message history backups are stored here. Click down on the file msgstore.db.crypt,
select Copy from the options that come up. Navigate to
/sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/ and paste the file.
4. This file can now be accessed on the PC by navigating to
C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder.
2. Now the messages can be accessed by decrypting the databases (this link tells you how)
I Don't Know That Whether It'll Work Or Not. [Do At Your Own Risk. ]
This worked for me
1. Explore your phone files on your PC, search for whatsapp messages in something like this: phone/whatsapp/databases
2. Upload the last created message database you found to your Dropbox or Drive account
3. Install file manager HD in bluestack (This App allows you to copy/delete files from SD and cloud servers/dropbox)
4. Make sure to uninstall whatsapp from bluestack before you do next step
5. In the file manager HD identify the database you upload in dropbox
6. Install whatsapp, before they ask your phone number do the next step
7. In file manager hd move the message file from dropbox to SDcard/whatsapp/databases
8. Put phone in whatsapp and it will ask you to recover messages, accept, and it should work
while updating the bluestacks whatsapp, i changed my profile name and now no old history is available... how to get my old chat history, Please help.
better idea is install file manager make a zip file of watsapp folder and paste it to /sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/
find that zip file on your pc from C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder and paste it in your phone and extract it to your internal directory and done

You can use ES file explorer (apk manual installing) , or a reader app like those:

However, I was cheated by a friend and now He blocked me, I cannot restore the ZIP backup by the normal procedure.
I tried to open the chat file inside the ZIP file by SQLite Manager
