Hi all, today i updated to the latest stable that was released a few days ago. I followed the usual process after flashing of extracting boot.img, patching with magisk and fastboot flashing the boot file. After booting no wifi and after a few seconds touchscreen crashes requiring a hard reset.
I managed to reflash the stock boot.img so phone is working again but no root.... What am I doing wrong?

Title, basically. Is it safe to use TWRP, or install LineageOS or /e/ builds based on guacamole onto the 7T Pro? Or is this phone too unique to use them? I tried looking at the upstream code here but I couldn't tell if the 7T Pro was simply not yet included, or was left out because it's not compatible. Sorry if this has an obvious answer, I am quite a noob when it comes to Android and rooting.
No 7T Pro has Android 10 out of the box and the boot and recovery partitions are different from guacamole . It is similar to 7T . No TWRP is available for 7T or 7T pro , We have to wait for more development work as these devices are one of the first to get Android 10 out of the box.
Thanks! This leads me to a follow up question. Does 'guacamole' refer to a specific combination of Android build and hardware? For example the OnePlus 7 and Android 9?

Hotdog
OnePlus 7T Pro
I recently bought a honor 8s, after my redmi note 4A was stolen. The honor 8s looked so good on paper with 2gb ram and quad core mediatek helio A22 2.0ghz cpu. However the performance is really bad, with my redmi note 4A which I run on custom Havoc OS had so much better performance that the honor 8s and mind u, the redmi also had only 2gb ram with a 1.4ghz cpu which I overclocked to 1.5ghz.
But the issue with honor 8s is all the bloatware that comes with hauwei that's eating up ram and it is running EMUI 9.1
Please guys can someone start working on rooting options its so frustratingly slow. Someone please help???
Did you find a solution?

Hello everyone! Please accept this gift from me for you. Ready tool 2 in 1, instructions on the screenshots are in the archive. Unpack the archive to the root of the C: \ drive, there is a shortcut in the folder, the program is already configured, just do everything as shown in the screenshots. If there are difficulties then ask me.
Thanks, is it tested solution? I see huawei Y9 in the pictures.

Currently no. Because there is no working TWRP for K40 Pro.
You can get around flashing without TWRP, but the issue is, it's a whole lot of work to make a kernel on A11 shipped devices with the GTK 1.0 and GTK 2.0 devices, which must launch an Android Common Kernel and store drivers in a separate partition, loaded after the first boot process of the generic implementation. Plus the 888 people don't really want to support (it's kind of a portable oven, throttles like crazy, and just isn't a good example of a Qualcomm product). Sorry to disappoint. I sold my K40 Pro Plus for these reasons. Only OnePlus 9 Pro seems to have custom kernels and ROMs, unfortunately. So I also talked to the dev that built the first custom kernel on that device; he said it took 3 months to inline all the drivers and make them functional (that's what you have to do on the new Google format), and honestly, most devs don't want to spend that kind of time on a kernel (hey, most of us have jobs).
I want to try EvoX on my 7t pro. Just wondering how hard it is to port the 7T version over, if it's even possible? Just assumed it's possible because there are kernels that work on both, and TWRP works on both unified
