Where can I find 10b rom, need to recovery my IMEI - Verizon LG G3

Hi There,
I just find that my IMEI disappeared, I guess I need to downgrade to 10b to recovery it, correct me if I'm wrong.
Unfortunately I don't have it in my computer.
I'm just wondering that if I still can find it some where on the internet.
Cheers

[GUIDE][E970]Using LG Flash Tool To Flash .tot Files {Alternate To LGNPST}[WIP]

Disclaimer
Code:
Neither Me Nor XDA Are Responsible If You Lose Your Job/Break Your Device.
Your Warranty Is Now Void
Downloads :
WIP
Instructions :
Extract The .rar
Open The Setup File And Install LG Flashtool
Right Click On The Shortcut Created On Your Desktop And Open File Location.
Copy The .dll Files From The DLL Folder To The Previously Opened Location And Replace The .dll In Flash Tool Folder If Any.
Open The Flashtool,Select The .dll Then The .tot/.bin File And You Are Ready To Flash The Firmware,Connect The Phone In Download Mode When Asked.
Note :
I Don't Know Whether It Works For N4 Converted Devices.I Had Successfully Flashed Stock .20 .bin File With It.But I Suggest To Use This Only When LGNPST Does Not Work/Fails To Flash The FW As For Me.Please Don't Perform Unwanted Experiments With Your Device Or It Will Result In A Hard Brick.
This Guide Was Originally Created By madmack @ Optimus G Pro Section So Thanks To Him.
I was Searching For The .dll File For Our Device And Found It So Decided To Create A Thread. And Those Who Are Thinking That The Required .dll Is The Same That We Use For LGNPST,NO,This Is A Different .dll
It Did Not Ask For Unlock Code When I Flashed The Stock JB FW.But As Posted By madmack there is A Possibility That It Can Ask For Your Unlock Code.So Proceed With Caution.
Again This Is A Alternate To LGNPST And Only I Have Successfully Flashed The Stock FW.It Is Recommended That Unless It Is Tested By 4-5 Experienced Users,Its A No Go For Noobs/New Users.
And Be Advised That This Process Will Wipe Your Internal Storage.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing.
Edit: There are many more things to do in his (madmack) thread... Did u follow them all? Or for us we do not need all those steps? Let us know before someone bricks.. I use LGNPST but if anyone tries this.. at least they have a better understanding. thanks again for sharing.
just a heads up.. TeenyBin does not work in LG Flash. There are extra CRC checks which I haven't been able to bypass yet. This may change in the future.
also, not sure if this version of LG Flash is same as the newer one I use but I have to set the COM port to 40+ for LG flash to see my device.. altho maybe I'm missing something. I have to go into windows device manager and manually change the COM port used for the phone ( its in properties ).
LG Flash is no better or worse than LGNPST in my opinion. On the plus side.. there's no dll to register... and options are good

Download link is missing.
I've try to found the download link for the Lg Flash tool on this page, but i haven't. Can you fix it or explain? Thanks anyway.
Which .TOT and .DLL files will you be providing? I need the .DLL and .TOT file for, of course, the AT&T Optimus G E-970 US version! I flashed my wifes phone cause it boot looped and the .TOT used was SUPPOSED to be this file but it is the Korean FW. Now my wifes phone will not update via OTA because it changed her IMEI number. I need to get her phone back to stock 4.1.2 US VERSION!

Here is the file you need to get her phone back to STOCK U.S: http://downloads.codefi.re/g33k3r/LGE970AT-01-V20j-310-410-MAR-08-2013.zip I'm not sure on the DLL file, I use LGNPST so not sure if they are the same but attached it also just incase you can use it.. stock firmware file above is a .tot file so if you need to you can just change it to .bin if you need to.
Thank you blake but no. That is the fw file that turned her phone Korean. So may people are under the impression this is the stock US fw but it isn't. I even had another person here check their phone and his too in fact says "Lg Electronics Korea".

Where do you go check to see if its U.S or Korean?
All settings--> about phone -->phone Identity.
It's under settings-->about phone-->phone identity.
I had another person tell me that's normal because it's only the "manufacturer" info. Which im told this phone is manufactured in Korea. I don't know. All I do know is everyone is saying this is the stock fw for this phone but my wifes phone has changed. The start up screen is different and so is the shut down screen. Example, when her phone would shut down, she would get the AT&T logo and sound. After flashing this file she gets the blue circle and no sound. I do know that 4.1.2 is different depending on the region the phone is in. I don't know anything else that would explain this. Maybe this FW file WAS a different region but it was stripped out and converted somehow?

After a little checking I found out the same thing, It was normal as it was the place of manufacturer. I'm not sure what the problem might be but as far as I know that's the stock firmware for the phone.. You might try this one out http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22901594685177912 you just boot into recovery do the normal wipes and flash through recovery, its supposed to be stock except for being rooted and as far as I know those are the only two stock files floating around for the phone...
Thanks Blake. Can you confirm for me that this phone will NOT get OTA updates if it's changed in any way, including rooting? It's what I was told by someone else. If that's the case then I guess there really is nothing wrong with the phone except those weird unexplained small changes.
I've got all the correct files download and I made it so far as to try to actually flash the phone, but it fails and gives me a wrong model number message because it's detecting my phone as a E960 (it's an E970). Any ideas? I had installed the latest CM11 ROM over some encrypted data and now I'm locked out (old encryption PIN doesn't work) and I can't restore it to stock.
can someone help me with a .tot or .bin stock for lg l70 d320n? cuz i"ve looked for it everywhere but couldn"t find anything
need help bad.
i got this phone from a friend and it originally had cm11 on it. the phone in question is the lg e970. i wanted to get back to stock. so i downloaded the correct firmware and added it to my external sd card. using twrp before i proceeded to wipe the phone via twrp. when it was finished i restarted the phone into twrp and went to install the stock firmware and i could not find my exsd card. twrp does not recognize it at all. so now im stuck with a phone with no os on it. i can ge into twrp and download mode, and when i just boot the phone it goes to lg logo and stays there. i need help in trying to figure out how to get stock firmware back on phone. i am used to samsung phones and odin. so im a noob when it comes to lg. i am very tech savy when it comes to computers. plzzzzzz any help would be great!!!!!!!! and appreciated
I can not add .tot file in LG flash tool
I have unrooted my lg g3 before on another computer. But i can't add the .tot file with my new computer. I am doing everything the same.
Does anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Downgrade help

Firstly, I apologize if this has been asked. And I'm sure it has. Before we get into the " do your research" rebuttals, I have been trying to get this done for about 2 weeks now. What i'm trying to do is root my phone and install a custom recovery. This is my first LG phone ( im coming from Samsung). I am on Lollipop. I understand that I have to revert back to 12b. So as I do this, I see that we use the LG flash tool. I am having a terrible time in getting this to work even as I follow the instructions on youtube ( although im starting to wonder if these are out of date). Main Issues tend to be that they call for a .kdz file and all I find for downloading are .tot files. What is the difference here? Another Issue im running into is the fact that I cant even get signed into the toolkit. I keep getting an error message. Unable to login and what not. I'm guessing it has something to do with the .dll file? Anyway. I'm not a pro by any means, but I just feel like I should be having some rom fun by now Can I get anyone willing to help me further please??? Cheers ahead of time!!!!

go to the general verizon forum and look at op #2 in my sticky Reference thread. all the drivers, tools, directions, and links are there.
i prefer to use the TOT method, have never used the kdz, but each uses a different flash tool and instructions.
the instructions in the flashing stock threads linked there are very good.
try following those threads, and forget youtube.
after you pick a direction, and run into issues, post back with which method, and your issues. then it will be much easier to help, rather than me posted a step by step novel that for the most part already exists.

There are two different flash tools. The official LG flash Tool, which requires TOT and DLL files. And the unofficial KDZ tool called "LG flash Tool 2014", which only needs a KDZ file. Use either one to get back to 10b firmware. You can then use Stump root to root it. After that, you can install TWRP Manager from Play Store. And from TWRP Manager, you can put in your phone model and it will download and install TWRP for you. If you want to, you can then follow the Jasmine rom thread to upgrade back to Lollipop using TWRP. I personally prefer to stay in 10b as I found it to be very stable and after I un-install the Verizon bloatware using Titanium backup, it is quite smooth.
Thank you both. I'll give it a try here in a bit. It helped a lot no one there to compare two completely different setups I did not know that thank you both again

Return to Stock Without USB

I've used the KDZ method successfully to return to stock several times but now I have to do a warranty exchange and Verizon won't send the replacement phone because they claim they can see I didn't take any updates. So now I have to go back to stock but I can't use KDZ because the charging port is the flaky part so I can't connect to the PC. What if any alternate methods can I use?
On a related note, I am guessing the replacement will have most if not all of the latest updates and from what I've read I can no longer use Stump Root to root the phone. Alternatives?

Unfortunately, KDZ or TOT require the USB port. And those are the only way to return to full stock.
If you have root and TWRP now, I can make you a flashable zip that contains all the stock 47A partitions, including recovery, so once you'd boot out of custom recovery you'd be back to stock. I can't guarantee that it would say "Official" instead of "Modified" in the About menu, though. I also can't guarantee that the phone won't be bricked somehow, either. All the risk is on you.
Stump is still the way to go, you just have to downgrade to 10B using the TOT method and the .DLL that's extracted from the 35B KDZ. Both the TOT and correct .DLL are up in my Android File Host link at the bottom of the first post of @annoyingduck 's stickied return to stock thread in the General section, or in my signature below.

The good news is I fiddled with USB enough to be able to successfully flash the 10B KDZ again. The weird news is that when I went to check for system updates, I was politely told my phone was up-to-date at 10B. Makes no sense to me and I'm not sure what to do about it. Any thoughts? The only reason I care about the updates is Verizon swore they wouldn't send out a replacement until I took updates. I.e. their complaint was that I hadn't taken any updates.

It's normal and common that after flashing a TOT or KDZ that it says no updates for hours or even a day or so. Eventually, as long as you have an activated Verizon SIM inserted, it'll get updates. It won't without the SIM so if you already are using the SIM in a backup phone, that's another reason why.
If your USB were reliable, I'd suggest flashing the 47A KDZ, but I would recommend against it at this point.

Good point about 47A. Especially since their complaint was I hadn't taken any updates I want to be to say I actually took an OTA so I've got 24B on it now and I'll give it a day and see what shows up.
Glad to see you got it flashed back to stock.
Also, I should have asked this before, but are you using the original cable that came with the phone or a different one? It could be the cable itself is bad. Have you tried several different cables? Also, make sure you are not hooking up to USB 3.0 ports. I believe those won't work or don't work well with this phone. I could be wrong.
Or it could be the USB port is loose on your phone causing the issue. In that case, that's a hard one to get to work other than what you tried, which is jiggling and fiddling with it.
In any case, it appears you are good to go. Just because you haven't taken the latest OTAs shouldn't prevent them from taking the phone back IMHO but who knows.
Or, as @roirraW "edor" ehT stated, you can wait a few days and it should get the OTA eventually. I've usually found that after flashing TOT or KDZ, I get the notice right away.

Want to make sure I clearly understand. Now that I have the replacement phone up and running, I use the flash tool and flash 7b._VS985_LGUP8974.dll_-_From_stock_35B-47A_TOT_back_to_10B_using_this_DLL.7z to get back to back to 10B and then use Stump to reroot?

No. That's only the .DLL. You also need the .TOT file, which I have the same place as that .DLL, and you need to extract them from the .7Z (7-Zip) archive with the free www.7-zip.org. See the last two posts of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/help/lg-g3-vs98547a-downgrade-t3354241/page3#post67731364.
Yes, Stump's brute force option, then TWRP Manager to put TWRP on, then wipe Cache, Dalvik/ART, Data, flash the ROM you want and then the appropriate Bootstack for the ROM you're flashing.

OK finally got back to this. I have the flash tool and LGUP8974.dll and VS98510B_01.kdz. In the flash tool I see nowhere to specify a dll to use so that makes me a little nervous. The directory with the flash tool executable has other dll's in it already but none have the same name as the dll I downloaded. Do I just drop the downloaded dll in that directory and flash the 10B KDZ or is there something I'm missing? Clearly I'm erring on the side of caution here. Sorry for all the questions but I rather ask alot and get it right than damage anything.
My bad not the KDZ but this: 7a._VS98510B_03.TOT-4.4.2-KitKat-MD5_hash_inside-(official-will_get_OTAs_-_file_inside_is_mistakenly_named_Jellybean).7z

It doesn't matter where the separate .DLL is, or the TOT. When you launch the tool you browse to the locations of them. If you already got the different megalock.dll and replaced the one in the installation directory then you're good to go. I don't think there's any danger, if something's not right it won't flash anything so there's no chance of damage from that anyway. There's directions for the TOT method all over including in the non-Verizon G3 General section. The instructions are the same no matter what device, just use that TOT and .DLL, and the driver's for the VS985 instead of whatever ones the guide you use specify. In all cases it's the same flash program and replacement megalock.dll as far as I've been able to tell.

Well see here's what is confusing me. I have the flash tool and have used it many times for KDZ's. However, there is no spot in there that lets me specify a particular dll AND it only browses for
.kdz and .cab files. .... .tot doesn't appear to even be an option. The only two files I downloaded were the TOT and dll for going back to 10 B that you pointed. It leaves me wondering if something is amiss with the flash tool I have. I am operating under the assumption that my objective is to flash the TOT file as I would previously flashed a KDZ but the flash tool I have wont even select a TOT file or a dll for that matter.

The Flash Tool 2014 is for KDZs only. If you Google for "TOT method", you'll find instructions and links to a different flash program, and also to the megalock.dll that you need to replace the one that the program comes with when you install it. Find a TOT method thread and you'll get all the information and screenshots you need of what you need.

Previous OTAs that are rootable

I'm getting a new g3 this week. I know the first thing the phone will do when I activate it is to do the OTAs. I want to root my phone. I want to know at which point do I stop the OTAs so I don't get stuck with unroot able version. I know the latest version, 6.0 is not root able. I do want to accidentally go to far.
Thanks
Don't take any OTAs at all if you can help it. It could come with 47A already, some other user's have recently.
Usually you can downgrade to 10B via the TOT method using the .DLL that's extracted from the 35B KDZ (both available from my Android File Host link at the bottom of the first post of @annoyingduck 's stickied return to stock thread in the General section, or in my signature below.
Root is easiest with the Stump app on XDA with its brute force option and that only works on 10B, then use TWRP Manager to install TWRP, and that part is only that easy on 12B and below
@R-T-B has found evidence that if under your battery the model number has a K at the end like VS985WK, then you might not be able to downgrade at all, so no permanent root.
Kingroot works even on 47A but it's highly suspicious and deeply ingrains itself into your system even more than is necessary for root, and with it you have to reroot after every reboot, rooting requires Internet every time, and it might be sharing your private information in the background.
If you do try to downgrade and brick, especially if you have the "K" model number, @R-T-B has a new debrick thread in the General section with modifications to previously available methods to at least get the phone working back on 47A.
This my first lg phone so I'm not a noob when it comes to rooting, I'm unfamiliar with some of lg terms. I've had moto and Samsung in the past.
So when the phone arrives I am going to post the current versions of everything and see if someone can guide me through the bes way to root, get twrp and flash a rom if I had to.
And yes, I have two threads on here. I have a thread to try and figure out out to unbrick a somewhat bricked g3 and this thread to make sure I don't do the same thing to the new phone.
Thanks

The best way is the same (what I replied previous) no matter what version.

So if I am on 10b, I can root with stump, flash twrp with twrp manager and I'm good to go? I can flash rooms even if they are based on new versions like MM?
So the only hard thing is if I'm past 10b and/or the device is already on MM.

Yes to both. Highly unlikely it'll come with 10B, and very likely it'll come with 47A or at least 35B.

You're using the new .DLL I directed you to? If you downloaded the TOT and .DLL from my Android File Host link, did you use 7-Zip to extract the files out of .7z archives you downloaded? Are you using the original USB cable (hopefully it came with the OEM one)? Installed the latest drivers from LG's website for the VS985 and then rebooted with the phone disconnected from the PC? Connected the phone in Download mode to a USB 2.0 port that comes directly off the motherboard on the PC (not USB 3.x and not through a USB hub)?
You changed the port # of the correct device - the one in the Port section, not the one in the Modem section, right?
Once the TOT flashing software gets to certain point where you think it's just going to "continue" on it's own but it doesn't, did you try unplugging the cable from the phone, wait five seconds, and then plug it back in, and wait up to a minute or more while the software should then start the flash in earnest?
Lastly, sometimes trying a different PC does the trick.

the post you pointed me to has the KDZ file not the TOT file. It does reference a thread to downgrade via TOT file but that thread doesn't have the download links on it anymore. http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/restore-verizon-to-stock-t2827878

ok i found your files and I"m downloading them now. I have downloaded the flash tool and it wants a username and password. found a work around that involves turning off the internet and resetting the date on the computer. Is this the best way to flash a tot or did i not download the correct tool?
i give up....i get an error when using the tot that it didn't load. i even looked into the LGup tool and it says i have an unknown model. maybe this tool is not for the g3
f it. i'm doing the ota to MM, i like the phone with stock unrooted. so it's not worth this headache. Maybe the problem is I am on windows 10. But it is the only computer I have. If I every have a chance to use a win 7 computer, maybe I will try. With what I read, I should be able to downgrade to 10b from MM using the same methods.

LGUp doesn't work with the VS985. The second post of the LGUp thread details what to use for Verizon G3s.
Windows 10 works fine. As long as your PCB (printed circuit board) in your particular phone isn't v2 (you'd have to look in @R-T-B 's thread in the General section as far as where to look on the board to find the "2" or "1", etc), then yes the downgrade method is the same from 47A. If you happen to have a newer revision of the VS985 then putting Marshmallow on will keep it from being downgraded any longer. This is a fairly recent development (last week or two) that this has been noticed in such detail.
If it is revision 2 of the PCB, then you won't be able to downgrade from 47A at all.
What you mean with "unrooteable" ?
If we like rooteable devices, why still people stay paying these "unrooteable" devices?
Its time to IMPOSE for CHITTY GOGLE INC to create REAL LINUX ADM ROOTED devices or STOP BUYING THESE DAMN CHITS!

Personally, I love my G3, but I'm with you. I won't buy another LG product until they lose their root/custom firmware unfriendly stance.
The Google in says "Google is your friend"
so, A friendly acceptable device, is being distributable by them?
We have years Forcing, imposing, root on all SIMPLY ALL these "friendly" devices.
How we believe on their phrase?
I only believe, the UNIX AND LINUX GPL ARE BEING PAID FOR THEIR "FRIENDISM".

48A is 6.0.
4.4.2 is KitKat
Try searching threads on here. It took me a LOT of digging, but I found the answers. Every way that something went wrong for someone on here, minus bricking my device, happened every time I tried to root. the .kdz method absolutely would not work for me. the .tot method, however, worked with lg flash tool but the .dll file being lgup8975 from the .zip of the same name as stated in the previous stately statement, but then again, what state is your phone in. is it happy?

I'm also trying to downgrade from 48A.
Did you mean lgup8974.dll? I can't seem to find lgup8975 anywhere, and I get the same error with lgup8974. I've tried following every guide I could find, as well as improvising, all to no avail. I'm about ready to offer of $50 to anyone who can successfuly downgrade my phone...
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. Phone is VS985WK... Guess I'll just have to sell/trade it...
