I seem to have the all too common problem with my X10 where it reboots when under lots of load.
I've decided i want to return it, however i'm currently using a rooted Nordic firmware, and i'd like to return the phone to standard before taking it to the store.
The phone is a Vodafone UK model (SI 1232-4285)
I've altered the settings inside build.prop to reflect the above number, rebooted the handset, then tried to reflash the firmware, however the PC Companion updater tells me "There is no software available for your phone yet, please try again later.", then ends, without actually performing the repair.
Any ideas?
It's not the SI that you want.. it's the build number which you can get from a link in here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828163
and make sure that you reboot the phone after amending the details before you to to reflash.
Thanks for that.
Looking at this line:
X10i VFE-UK VFE 1234-4579 1232-4285 Vodafone UK/Sensuous black
I presume i should be setting it to 1234-4579 then?
Unfortunately in the mean time, i decided to try flashing the original operators firmware, which i downloaded from the developer section, and now the phone is booting to a vanilla 1.6 OS but asking for a SIM network unlock PIN...
think you'll need to find a new firmware and reflash.. then you can try again with the firmware code.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733
and yes... 1234-4579
Thanks,
I downloaded flashtool and the latest 2.1 world generic and those flashed on just fine. The phone then started working again and i managed to root it, reinstall root explorer and correctly edit the build number.
SEUS then happily repaired the phone to the latest Vodafone UK firmware.
Things get stranger though, as i then tried to restore my backup i made on the old firmware to get all my contacts etc back. First couple of times i tried it the phone rebooted, so i left it to charge over night, and tried again this morning with a full battery. Backup Restore went perfectly, and it told me to reboot the phone.
Cept now it wont turn on. The phone vibrates momentarily upon pressing the power button, but does nothing else
Is it possible that some "system settings" from my backup have conflicted with the new firmware?
I'm going to try another repair now and see if that will get it working again.
you can't restore your old firmware on top of the existing firmware.. at least not without losing the existing.. If you want your old contents back but not the firmware then you'll need to restore just those elements.. what did you use to back up with?
Phone displays "Network Locked SIM Card" Inserted after flashing a stock firmware
I recently uninstalled Magisk, and was able to only boot into download mode after. So, I downloaded a stock firmware for my s9+ 965f and flashed it through odin (using AP,BL, CP, CSC(didnt select HOME CSC). But after rebooting, the phone displays "Invalid SIM. Network Locked SIM Card Inserted".
It asks for PUK code to unlock the phone and the cellular service alone is not working now. My phone is already region unlocked and I have been using it for the past 8 months. Has anybody got this issue and any suggestions on how to solve it?
Previous OS: soldierx rom for 965f v12 on Oreo
What I did,
i) uninstall all modules in magisk,
ii) uninstall magisk,
iii) phone auto-reboot
iv) Now phone stuck in download mode. Cannot boot it
v) downloaded stock firmware G965FXXU2BRGA
vi) flashed through Odin(AP,BL,CP,CSC)
vii) Phone completely formatted and boots up.
"Error:Invalid SIM card inserted. Network Locked SIM card detected "
I am now being asked for PUK code or cellular service wont work
You need to contact your carrier for PUK code, its protective measure against too many wrong PIN attempts on specific SIM. Can't fix that with any flashing.

This is where the problem is. You put any sim card in that phone, you get the same error. The sim card works fine if I put in any other phone. I am not sure but unistalling Magisk has caused "SIM Card Read Error" in my S9+. I even upgraded to Pie from Oreo and flashed 3 different stock firmwares but the sim card error exists.
@topjohnwu
I would appreciate if you can help me on this. Not sure how to fix the issue
Looking up the error message itself points to some sort of network/carrier lock. If I am reading regional lock and carrier lock definitions correctly the two are not the same..
Did you have the phone network unlocked or was it network unlocked when you had root installed? If the device was network unlocked when it was rooted and you flashed back to stock (which removes root) this might explain what is going on...

This is an unlocked phone. I had magisk installed and when trying to uninstall it to upgrade to latest magisk, the device wont boot except download mode. So, I downloaded stock firmware and flashed it. Once I boot up with the new stock firmware, I get this error
There is some sort of lock on the phone, which is why your being asked for the code.
I think you should definetly try was what was suggested above.. trying to contact the carrier and see if they can give you the PUK code. If I recall correctly you get a few tries to enter it correctly before it won't let you anymore (and it might lock the phone up good or damage the sim)
I'm having a similar issue on a Verizon A50. Any progress?

depending on what method was used to unlock it, its likely no longer unlocked. some sellers of unlock codes neglect to mention that part. im betting its locked again
So I have a rooted Galaxy J7 pro with me (SM-J730f/DS)
This phone was rooted and it was blocked at boot showing "Custom Binary Blocked by OEM Lock"
I went into Odin mode and there wasn't anything that showed a country code. So I downloaded a stock rom according to my country and it's carrier was open (which I thought meant any carrier, I mean there ain't any career named "open" in my country) So I flashed it using odin, everything went smooth. The phone is performing well but after inserting sim cards, it detects the sim but doesn't work. Shows "unable to connect" and "error while connecting" when I tried to set network manually.
I probably should now flash the correct firmware but I don't know in which country this phone belongs. I dialed *#1234#* but I obviously got the information about the rom I installed.
In the back of the phone "UK" is written after the model number (SM-J730F/DD, Samsung, Yateley, GU46 6GG, UK) but I couldn't find a UK rom. I looked into Imei.info but couldn't find any info about region.
Is there anyway to fix the issue other than trying every J7 firmware there is
Hi XDA community
I recently flashed AOSP & TWRP on my 2ram 32gb Moto E6 plus XT2025-1
I used the ROM for almost a month and everything worked ok.
Then for personal motives i decided to sell the phone and i tried to flash the stock ROM on it, but the problem here was that i used
SP-flash tools and selected the option 'Format and flash' so when the phone booted i couldn't select any SIM card, the baseband version got erased even when i try *#06# the window only display the serial number but nothing else (i tried 5 different SIM cards) and then i flashed the original stock ROM from the Motorola website using the 'Rescue Assistant' software, and same problem, no SIM no Baseband nothing, so i flashed the stock ROM that worked for me which was AOSP 10, but the same problem appeared, i've also tried to 'repair' my IMEI with the MTK engineering tool but there's no 'CDS' radio option, using "MAUI META" flashing all the "Moto E6 plus" baseband files i've downloaded on forums, flashing stock ROMs for my region, i've also seen that some people use a "box" but i don't have one so i would like to know a software solution for this please
PS: When i boot in fastboot and retrieve the barcodes the IMEI appears, and even when i type 'fastboot getvar all' the baseband version appears too, also i made a "TWRP backup" of the custom AOSP and that custom recovery loads the IMEI and baseband version but the "telephony" modules are inactive, i can't "touch" or select mobile network + the phone keeps displaying "No SIM", the phone hasn't received any physical damage (yet).

don't use sp flash, occupy lmsa and recover option, that should work
Good day
There's a similar thread open that I dont want to hijack. I would appreciate suggestions to get the network side of the device working again. After some reading I think I messed up NVdata by using format all on spflash.
I have the:
Redmi 10 2022 (I believe it is selenes)
Model 22011119UY
Original firmware was 12.5.2.0 RKUZAVC (Note this is the South African market (ZA) with carrier locked to Vodacom.
Unlocked bootloader, stock recovery, able to access fastboot.
I flashed vbmeta, boot and recovery images to install custom firmware. Originally the device was bootlooping with no access to fastboot or recovery. I bypassed the secureboot and managed to flash selene V12.5.20.0.RKUMIXM (global) with SPFlash, after which I changed the blank IMEI numbers back to those on my box. I can now access fastboot and recovery. The device states (NV data corrupt) at the recovery page and wont boot into system.
After this I installed the China ROM for the selenes (V12.5.2.0.RKUCNXM). The phone boots into system fine, but doesnt detect any simcards or the IMEI numbers. ENG rom sees the IMEI numbers but has no signal.
Is the issue perhaps that you need the original firmware for it to function? I dont have a backup of the original firmware and it looks like it is specific to the phone in this country.
Thanks
Edit 1:
V12.5.2.0 RKUCNXM (CHina) doesn't detect SIMS
V12.5.2.0 RKUEUXM (EU) doesn't flash at all with SP flash (fails after 100% DA right at the beginning)
V12.5.9.0 RKUINXM (India for 10 Prime) keeps rebooting after a few seconds in MIUI setup screen)

This kind of problem also happened to me. I tried to update my Redmi note 10 sunny (Global) via MiFlash from 12.0.2.0 to 13.0.10.0 but after the flash my phone always reboot back to recovery and says "NV Data is corrupted" . So I had to flash that old 12.0.2.0 version to get my phone working again.
