Hi
Plz , i want TWRP for S905x3 to flash it like custom recovery img
In android 8/9+ you would need to use temporary TWRP, as changes in partition structure ect, I have yet to find a recovery.img based TWRP that's always there, but boot TWRP from am SD card or USB stick

Hi i have a GR5 KII-L33 model (single sim), can i use any rom for kiw-l21, l22, etc. (CM13 and others)?
do i need to do extra steps? i dont want to brick my phone :silly:
Hey
make sure that you take full stock backup before flashing the ROM
use fastboot boot twrp.img to run twrp without replacing stock recovery then backup everything
after that you can flash twrp with normal command then flash cm
after flashing the ROM, you need to follow these steps here, to get your single sim working
I answered you in cm thread and here to talk more [emoji14]
And yes you can use any CM/AOSP Roms, don't mess around with stock roms

hi, just curious about the backup everything.
does TWRP backup our stock recovery partition? because you said that we have to boot twrp then backup everything. i wonder if we restore using twrp, will our old/original recovery return? i know that we can use update.app to restore stock recovery and rom.
i am new to this huawei device since i've been using htc one x and did flash custom rom also twrp. but my device is KII-L22 and keen to flash crpalmer's CM.
thanks.
I try to flash twrp from cuoco92 and after that cant boot at all only go to fastboot mode can u help me?
this recovery X820 Leeco LeMax2 installazione rom Gs Cuoco92
I think from what I've read that you need a recovey that is compatible with the rom your running at the time, so a eui based 5.8 rom needs the teamSpain recovery
not totally sure though, I'm bit confused on the matter as instructions are mostly in broken English here
can you boot recovery from fastboot, is there an option?

I think you can flash a twrp img file from twrp recovery itself ('Install' and look for 'Images', you should be able to browse to the new recovery img on your internal storage, or if you're rooted you can use an app like Flashify and just download the new recovery, select it through the app and flash.
Thanks for the reply but....

Hi, I need some help also. I am BL unlocked but can't get TWRP to install via fastboot. I am on 7.4.6 global dev rom.
I been messing with this Goobang doo A1 Max for a few days. I flashed a bad recovery and I lost my stock recovery. I was able to start a "Tanix 3 mini" stock recovery from the flash card then using that recovery I flashed the Tanix 3 mini stock recovery on the device. Now I have a functioning recovery on the device. I tried to install TWRP. I can start TWRP by either doing an "apply update" from android recovery, or even by using the update&backup app. It goes in TWRP, I can flash stuff like magisk, but Ican't get TWRP to install permanently. Any idea how I can get a permanent TWRP? The Tanix stock recovery that I was able to flash was an .img. TWRP is a .zip.
Also anyone have the stock recovery for the A1 Max? While the tanix one works, the original one had remote support.
I accidently upgraded my phone to Android 10 11.0.14 ( prehaps ). I want to install TWRP on this phone, and I attempted to install it without flashing the boot img, and it caused to entirely be bricked and stuck on fastboot, and I did also attempt to change the slot, but ****** off. I tried using MiFlash, ****** off, reinstall, ****** off. I still kept my OnePlus rom and I succeed to install and normally use it, and it still remained TWRP. I installed the stock rom for it cuz Oxygen is so unstable, and I did, but the TWRP is lost. I reinstalled it, but it bricked, again. I entered TWRP, wipe all data, and enter again, but lost TWRP. I figured that I did miss flashing boot img, thanks to a thread I accidently read. And I also figured how stupid I was when I just did upgraded my phone to the latest version, and there is no boot img compatible to that version, and I did searched entire internet for it. I didnt try to flash the boot img of the early version cuz I am afraid it bricked again cuz of the compatibility. So when will I expect for a boot img file to flash TWRP and when can I download and use it? Or technically I dont need that boot img file and just simply change the slot and flash it? Ty.
try this boot img, its compatible with android 10 also twrp is already installed in the boot img.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mi...HR_Q-v2.2-laurel_sprout-official.img/download (its for official android 10 rom)
then flash whatever rom you like then flash this zip, it will install shrp recover

Hang on. What do you mean by TWRP is already installed ? Does it mean that boot img file already contained TWRP or I do need to install it as a boot img to get the phone boot and work normally?
And btw, is installing SHRP Recovery an opinion or a must?

the boot img already contain twrp, and the boot img should be able to boot your rom (stock android 10) and no shrp is not a must you can use any recovery you like, but if you want to keep your recovery after installing a rom you have to install the recovery installer zip
