P20 lite ANE-LX1 SIM-LOCK removal? - Huawei P20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi!
I have P20 lite ANE-LX1 single sim running on C432E7R1P7.
It has a sim lock by vodafone Hungary
Currently its totally stock, but potato NV supports it so in theory i can unlock the FB lock by photatoNV (i already have a rooted p10 with potato)
So if my understandings are correct PotatoNV simply overwrites the existing USERKEY in the nvme partition with a new one which defined by the user.
Can this be done with NCK code(Network Control Key) ?
Where this code located on the phone?
Secondary question can the phone converted to dual sim? it has only one sim num so i guess no
Thanks for your help.

[Q] Why does flashing generic not remove sim lock?

Searching the forum people are saying that the X10 can't be unlocked (at least without paying) even by flashing generic. So I was wondering why this is the case?
Where is the simlock stored? As flashing a different (stock) rom overwrites everything right? I can't see it being part of the bootloader so is their a part of the phone the bootloader knows not to touch but that can still be modified by the user with codes from operator/paid method.
Thanks in advance.
Simlock is on the sim card. It has nothing to do with the firmware.
By sim lock I mean network lock. Sorry for any confusion. As in if I put in another operators sim.

Invalid SIM After Firmware Unlock

Hi guys,
I just need some general direction here.
I recently purchased a locked Sprint S9 Plus and I had successfully flashed the firmware to the unlocked version of the phone (Model number showing SM-G965U1 )
I had plugged in the sim card to the new phone, only to receive a message that says "Invalid Sim card." I also checked the system apps and it looks like there are some Sprint apps still on the phone. Any ideas?

You got confused about what "unlocked" means in various contexts. It's easy to do. The U1 firmware is for devices that are sold as "factory unlocked" from Samsung, Best Buy, and Amazon. But what that really means is "unbranded and unlocked". By flashing U1 firmware on a Sprint (SIM locked) device, you now have an unbranded device, but flashing U1 firmware cannot SIM unlock it. Those are different things. You still need a proper SIM unlock, regardless of what firmware happens to be running on it.

Wow, and after 2 weeks of research - I thought I had it all together.
I've looked up a few options to SIM unlock the phone. They seem to be:
1) root the phone, then sim unlock it (is this possible?)
2) get a sim unlock code (any recommedations?)
OR
3) get a new unlocked or carrier-specific phone
Anyone have inputs for options 1 or 2?

Can't discuss such things on XDA. Your carrier should unlock for you once you've met their requirements.

Unfortunately my family was going through a carrier switch where I purchased the phone before they changed their minds to go with Verizon. Now I'm stuck with a Sprint phone while my family went with Verizon.
I would gladly guidance from anyone, through PM or through this post, and is MUCH appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Bootloader code doesn't work after EMUI 9

Yesterday I tried to update to EMUI 9 through Hisuite which locked my bootloader again. I tried to use my bootloader code on it but I get a message telling me check password failed.
Bootloader's unlock code is tied to oeminfo's motherboard.
-Did you not switched O & 0 or I & 1 in your code ?
-Did you flashed an oeminfo from another device ?

Wiko Wim (not Lite) bootloader unlock and dual sim activation after unbrand

Hi, I have a Wiko Wim full (not Lite version) which was branded (Tim Edition).
I have flashed it with Wiko latest firmware (V38) and now is an unbranded version and the second sim slot is now recognized.
But there is zero radio signal and no sim pushed on second slot works.
What can I do to get full operation? I doubt that something is missing at the hw level and I can see two different IMEI on my Phone so I think that is not a problem related missing IMEI on second slot.
Other problem.
I have a root access at ADB Shell level and I can do partition backup with DD.
But when I have tried to flash TWRP Recovery with DD nothing has happened.
No errors, dd executes correctly, but the recovery partition is unchanged.
I suppose it's because I have the bootloader until locked or is it for other reasons?
In any case all the guides I found for unlocking the bootloader fail with unknown command in fastboot mode (I also have the OEM unlock option in the developer menu but nothing).
Suggestions ?

If you've forgotten your Google Account password then there are lots of ways to recover the account:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7682439?hl=en
If you bought the phone from someone, the only solution is for them to give you *their* password so you can unlock the phone, and then change it 72 hours later.
If you came across the phone via other means, factory reset protection is doing exactly what it's designed to do. There are numerous sites claiming to bypass it if you do a quick Google Search.

It's SIM-locked. You can buy an unlock code to fix this. I've used The Unlocking Company in the past for a Mate 20 Pro, so I can confirm that it works.
The bootloader lock irrelevant. It might update to 10.0 or 10.1 automatically when powered up, or when a new operator's SIM card is installed. If that doesn't work, HiSuite will drag it to the latest version.
What a bout frp ?
