Hi all,
I have been looking for over 6 months for a way to unlock the bootloader on my UK Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I can not find any way which looks to work and doesnt involve going to a dodgy looking website. Has any one found a verified way to unlock the bootloader recently?

You can no longer unlock bootloader as Huawei stopped releasing codes, some may post sites where they get code from, I personally wouldn't use any site or trust any site as how they can generate a code if official source has stopped.
The sites are legit actually.

as I know at&t and cricket is the same company. so if the phone is locked to at&t it will work with cricket without unlocking, right ?
is this model is DSDA (dual sim dual active) or DSDS (dual sim dual standby) ? after unlocking can I use 2 sims at the same time?

Have you tried asking for the code for free, they gave me mine after a month of owning the phone. It needs to have been connected for at least 30 days.

Vodafone only want you to pay for the first 30 days, not necessarily to sit through them. If you've already paid for your first month's usage in advance, ask them to unlock your 'phone - you're already eligible.

Ordered unlock code yesterday for $13 and guess what my phone has a higher level of encryption that costs another $13 so $26 in total!!! Scamming gits, as if they didn't know my phone requires higher level of encryption or not....must be common trick they use to get more money....I'll request a refund and get the code free from Vodafone albeit I'll have to wait 30 days!

I'm in Australia and here Vodafone supply the 'phone already unlocked - they simply refuse to sell you the 'phone unless you sign up for a plan (which you can then cancel during the first month, meaning you'll only be forced to pay for one month's service).
Perhaps ask Vodafone UK directly (the company, not a shop assistant); they may well supply it unlocked too.
I got mine from China through AliExpress so have the genuine (international) stock ROM, but I've heard Vodafone throw on their own bloatware - so you might also want to consider getting it "re-branded" to the stock AL29 (or AL09 if it's a single-SIM version) ROM to get rid of the bloatware.
The crooks are messing me about now saying they've sent my unlock request to the carrier and refusing to refund as requested about 3 times! Bunch of scamming idiots!

Honor and Huawei ceased to allow bootloader unlocking so yes there is only the 3rd party unlock which has only just come out.
Btw you don't have to pay 30 euros, there is another which costs £16
Checck the p20 pro forum for it.

Today I tried messaging Ministry of Solutions and they said it is not possible on wifi only models like mine. Is that true?

Is anyone having any luck getting one of the recent bootloader unlock codes? I've tried previously with Global Unlocking Solutions, and never received a payment link, tried again yesterday still waiting. I've also PM'd I-IMEI.com on Telegram and no reply.
All I want to do is change my build.prop so that I can enable VoLTE with Telstra and get rich text messages and visual voice like my OG pixel does.

Which seller did you use? My taobao efforts were fruitless, sadly.

No one can get them. I just had two sellers on eBay cancel my orders saying they couldn't get the codes. This sucks.
Got this phone as a gift from my dad, and was exhilarated because my old phone was starting to disfunction,
had battery leakage problems and just had became a pain to use.
While the Huawi p30 lite is globally a good phone, the functionalities that I got used to thanks to 5 years of root
are starting to really miss me. I heard that I could buy a code (to unlock bootloader) from funky huawei, global unlocking and others
but don't know if there is any valuable content available post-root for this phone specifically.
Any custom rom/kernel, cool mod, etc.
And all around would it be worth it?

You cannot buy unlock codes any longer, Huawei stopped giving them out, and other sites do not work regardless of their claims
So you are stuck with any new Huawei with no root

He's not talking about FRP unlock for lost or stolen phones, he's talking about bootloader unlock code.
