1. Disconnect phone from USB
2. Turn off phone (make sure you have at least 50% battery) and wait 30 seconds.
3. Hold the 'Volume UP key' WHILE inserting the USB. --> LED turns blue = fastboot mode.
4. Leave the phone turned off
have you install drivers for fastboot from sony ericssons site? and you dont have to power up the phone press Volume Up and at the same time conect usb cable

rooting the phone should not affect the sound settings.
Did you check the sound options?
Xloud turned on?
I cant get my mini pro sk17i into fastboot mode. Tried waiting more than 30 seconds before plugging in usb cable, nothing.

What color does the LED turn?
I don't have SK17i, did you try holding the menu button instead of the volume up button? as they are different models.

You can try wwwong's suggest, or basically just try all the buttons on your phone. The design may be different between models, but you should be seeing same blue color LED when your phone is is fastboot mode

Here is a very nice video to unlock the bootloader. Step by step guide below it as well. It's for Arc but I followed that when I first unlocked my bootloader for my Ray.

NOTE: VOLUME UP KEY will enter fastboot mode (Blue LED).
Alright thanks alot...i will try it out and see how it goes....

Is your phone turned off? Look at the video above. It's the same general rules but different buttons are used.
I am having the issue, obviously our phones are branded... I THINK i might have actually unlocked the bootloader using S1TOOL with TP, but cant manage to get into fastboot... Is there any way to get around this issue anyone? And yes i have done everything right trying to get into fastboot...
Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
Same problem
If you do not get blue led that means fastboot is not enabled I can enable fastboot and then unlock your bootloader for you.

My phone discharged while I was out from home.
Today when I connected it to charger nothing happens if I try to switch it on there is red light blinking every time I press the button if I connect it to my PC it's says there is power surge on USB port.
I have locked bootloader with official software.
I tried unplugging the battery which was advised in other posts but that didn't help at all. I also left phone connected to charger for few hours I tried different USB cables and different chargers.
Is there anything else I can do? Or is it dead?
Hold down volume down and the power button, can you enter Fastboot? If you can. It won't be difficult to revive your device.

I may be missing something but how can I flash anything if I can't enter fastboot? If you could link a guide It would be awesome! Thanks
You are in edl mode. You can flash via miflash tool with locked bootloader , go ahead
http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html
Fastboot flash is for unlocked bootloader only.
ive got the same problem, it started when i was traveling and i asked for a new pcb on the go, now i got home and problem is not the pcb, also not even the red led flashes anymore...

If you have recovery try agni tools and reset battery stats
I have a redmi note 5 bricked, don't ask me how, but I just went to sleep with it in full working order and woke up with it without turning on the screen and on rebooting was forever on the mi.com logo screen. I can't enter recovery mode, only fastboot mode. When the button presses on and off it restarts and returns to the logo screen.
My bootlood is blocked, I never did anything on the device.
Well, I have the exact same problem. Was hoping someone here could help
Use miflash tool
My bootloader is locked, there's anything else I can do?
Your only chance is to through recovery mode you can't flash fastboot rom with boot loader locked try again enter recovery mode press volume up +power button and wipe cache

Hi, have been there, have done that.
test point method will work, just search YouTube test point redmi 5 plus, also there are tutorials on google step by step. It seems complicated but after opening the back cover all is simple. The flashing should take around 2-3 min, if flashing goes more than 5 min it means you are not in edl mode, just use a small metal tweezers and you should be ok
My phone realme 1 is not going into fastboot mode when the powerbutton and volume-down button are pressed together. Instead it is going into recovery mode. What should i do to get it to fastboot mode

After unlocking bootloader, you can enter fastboot mode. Means if bootloader is locked then you can enter only recovery.
you can go to fastboot mode by pressing Vol Down and Power Button but it needs the bootloader unlocked. so, first unlock that

Yes, after unlocking Bootloader or after applying in Deep Test apk you can enter FastBoot mode. Without unlocking bl there is no way to access fastboot mode. Only recovery is accessible.
By the way he is not new. He is developing ROMs for this device.

Well, Who tf tries to go to fastboot mode without unlocking bootloader in the first place?and I'm not a new member. I'm one of the lead developers of Realme mt6771 development team. You can go ahead and see at github.com/CPH1859 and github.com/RMX1831 . I'm saying the fact, if a person is trying to go to bootloader and he hasn't unlocked it, call him a new member. Its just Common sense. You can't open a door without unlocking it.
