Did you tried to change the resolution of your phone? I've read that it could be incompatible doing this thing...

Yes. Its totally fine now. It was because (i believe) i use 132 version due to new update arrived me 5 minutes ago. Now I'm running 133 and its updating. C185 latest available 133. Its far behind than others i hate that.
Just had this problem on my rooted Mate 10 with help of Magisk. I tried hiding root from Google play but it didn't help. Then I cleared cache for playstore and it has changed its mind. Now Instagram has been installed.

Maybe SafetyNet issue...
It works fine for me on EMUI 8.0.0.330(C178)
I have received the camera APK from the P30 Pro. Unfortunately it will not install on my Mate 10 Pro with 9.0.0243. Somehow logical that the 9.1 apps check for target OS version.
Does anyone have an idea how to install it, and would it work at all?

If your bootloader is locked, then there's no other way to install it. Post the APK here, maybe we can make it work on unlocked devices!

You meant on locked devices? The apk won't install, so i don't think you can get it working as it is.
The camera is working, no issue so far. The interface is a bit different and honestly i didn't spotted any improvement over the stock one.

It could be possible if you decompiled it and changed package name then recompiled (and remove any checks, it should only check for 9.0 as 9.1 is still Pie, but signature could be causing it). But decompiling Huawei apks is another story.

Basically i need two folders (and its contents) , product/app/HwCamera2 and product/app/HwAOD.
Off course, this require an unlocked P30 Pro.

Couldn't they be extracted from the update package using Huawei update extractor? I guess that'd still require root access come to think of it.

Ive installed the module through Magisk on my Mate 10 Pro runing EMUI9.0 and it works but the app is now called -4.0dip ?!?!?!?!?!?!
Any ideas how that has happened?
Have not tested this personally, first global developer rom for Mi9 SE

The link is an official xiaomi link so the rom is legit, their en.miui website is not always updated properly. Let me know if you've tried it, you should be able to flash from updater app by manually choosing the rom package, if you are on global stable rom (not eu rom)

What fingerprint sensor do you have?
For check you can use AIDA 64 f.e.

/data uses F2FS so yeah. But I tested it yesterday and it did work just fine on 9.1

I saw people did succesfully unlock bootloader using realme XT with this apk from the forum. But i didn't try it yet

Guys, for all those who had an issue installing the Indian RUI version on top of global model and all the bugs of battery drain, automatic brightness, NFC not working, no update setting etc, check this thread down below for the solution. I can confirm it worked for me as well. Get update failed with manual download and update via eecovery. Finished as an .ozip renamed to .zip and fails on each. No vpn I use for a Russian IP loads a result thru update menu at, I get no result of any kind. This phone is just a headache. Wish I'd have realized there was 2 variants before buying it under the assumption I could unlock the bootloader.

Don't need to rename .ozip to .zip if you are using stock recovery.
