I hope you must be keeping well .
Problem: I have figured out a fix for Nokia 3.2 fingerprint scanner issue where it use to stop working after a while and if you reboot it, the option to fingerprint goes away from settings.
Solution:
Place your finger on fingerprint scanner and reboot your Nokia 3.2, keep your finger on scanner until you get to unlock screen. Unlock your screen with Pin/ Password and your fingerprint is back again.
Ps: You will need to repeat this step everytime you reboot/start your device or your fingerprint is buggy.
Developers are requested to figure out fix for this issue and help us.

Hi Guys
recently I went to CM7 (with fingerprint scanner) and switched back to Darkside again.
Now i find that my fingerprint scanner do not boot up right away when i switch my screen on, ( I have to wait for a second or 2 before i can swipe and have it read )
or else it won't register the swipe and it will just say please swipe finger sensor
Anyone else had similar problem before?
and yes I do full clean wipes inbetween roms

Hey i can't use the lockscreen face recognition. The phone fails to open the config. Anyone knows what to do?

Here are my issues with face unlock.
1) Not as secure as you'd think.
Test, take your picture with another phone, hold the phones face to face - unlock
2) SLOW.... If it fails to recognise you, it goes to pattern or pin unlock. This in itself is fine, but in low light it will really struggle to recognise your face. You will waste valuable seconds waiting while it tryies only to have to use pattern / PIN anyway.
Comclusion, nice try, nice gimmick but not the next big thing. Biometrics would have been good, like the Atrix.

I have received an update lately (MIUI Gloval 8.1 Stable - 8.1.1.0) and my struggle began. My problem is that now every time if I touch the fingerprint sensor the phone unlocks. It's REALLY annoying guys. Sometimes I lock my phone and put it down and the screen unlocks because accidently I touched it. Fingerprint is disabled, furthermore I have no lockscreen whatsoever have enabled. The fingerprint sensor at the back acts exactly like the unlock button on the side. How the hell can I disable this annoying function?

Settings - Lock Screen & Password - Manage Fingerprints - Enter Password if you have one - Apply Fingerprint to Lock Screen - choose disable?
Fingerprint wakes up the device if u haven't added any fingerprints.
That's a thing in marshmallow MIUI (even on the beta builds), it's not a bug, tapping on fp without any registered FPs wakes up the screen.
Furthermore, u said that there's 'NO LOCKSCREEN' you kept(so i assume there's neither swipe to unlock screen) so fp is waking your device everytime,and consequently,screen gets unlocked.
I see. Any way to completely disable this function? I dont want that sensor to work at all.
Me too, I have the same problem, the fp sensor wakes up the screen when I'm touching it accidentally most of the time. How can we disable this annoying "feature"?

My fingerprint sensor does not recognize any fingers
First vibrates then go to lock, pin, or pattern sometime it's goes straight to pin or pattern screen without vibration
It's really annoying me. Any solution often
Off screen lock don't delete fingerprint
Again on screen lock add fingerprint
It doesn't work me?

Restore or flash fastboot?
Have you upraded the Bootloader? The Radio? Is the Rom (that older Rom) compatible with the Bootloader Version? Check it and write back

Did you try this : Screen lock > Register unrecognized finger
and add patern/pin
then go to settings
and don't delete the fingerprints
but remove the screen lock itself
and then add screen lock and register fingerprint

Go to twrp. Then enter file manager. Navigate to /data/system/. Now delete the following files:
password.key
pattern.key
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
This will clear all saved pattern/pin/fingerprints.
You can boot into your system and set them again.

I am experiencing lately an odd bug.
If I leave my s9 plus for some time without messing with it, the fingerprint scanner is not responding. Ofcourse I can just press the power button to open the screen and then the fingerprint scanner works great as it should. I can try to unlock the phone many times after that, and it will work as it should.
This only happens once if I leave the phone idle for a long time.
Anyone else with the same issue? Is there any possibility that the fingerprint scanner is getting into sleep mode...?
