We all have observed that most of the A11 roms have at least few bugs and few ROMs are yet to implement important features. For example PE+ has heating/drain issue resulting in an update getting released within 24 hours of the previous build (good response time though).
In this scenario, I would your help in knowing if there is any ROM which is based on A10 (solid stability, battery life) with latest security patches, with at least fair amount of features like corvus or Evo x (but these dont hv latest patches).
Thank you.
There is Nusantara LTS (long term support) in the ROM section. I'm using march version but April is already there and may could come soon. It has many features like Havoc or crDroid. I'm not a heavy user but for me it works fine.
I switched last month from crDroid 6.13 to crDroid 7.5 and it's been pretty solid with most Q customizations included.

What are your opinions on resurrection remix vs lineage is at their current and future stages? I just received my mido from China and I would like to install a custom rom into it. I'm torn between lineage and resurrection. What makes lineage better than resurrection, as RR has much better customisation but I'm concerned about updates. Which is better in you opinion?
I'm looking for stability over customisations.
I had been using Cyanogenmod/Lineage on a Samsung S3 Mini and my current Moto G 4G. I found them to be similar in terms of stability and never encountered any deal-breaking bugs on both operating systems. Back when I started using Custom OSes on the little Samsung, I installed every single ROM update as soon as I could. That has changed, and I update every 1-3 months if there are no major issues. I prefer Resurrection Remix because of its better customization options and when my Redmi Note 4 arrives in what I hope to be 2 weeks' time, I'll install RR on that one as well.
On my RN3P ive been using RR for a long time. First marshmallow release and now the nougat release. What I experienced there is a faster bug fixing (camera nougat patch has been included way faster in official builds then on lineage) and a very active community on XDA.
Flashed my Mido yesterday with RR and I'm pretty happy with it. Camera shutter has a delay and video recording is kinda slow but beside of that everything works out of the box for me. I tried lineage several times but I miss so many functions which are only available on RR...
Is lineage updated more regularly? As there have barely been updates for RR since it's release for mido

Both will get updates, as dev said LineageOS going to be official once the kernel sources gets released, you know about RR, it's already Official.
rr is more flexible and complicated while lineage is stable
I installed today LineageOS latest version and now I find it has something missing like "no blue filtering" mode. In addition, After installing even today I got a pop saying to install latest update and went for this too but don't know why the downloading gets stopped suddenly after sometime. I noticed this to happen more than 5 time. Now I give up updating and considering to move to Remix.
I recommend RR
I used both of them. But I feel RR is more customizable, flexible, complicated & stable. I recommend to flash RR who want to mess up with all UI.
Came across this, thought I'd share my views. I bought this phone 2 days ago and am waiting for the bootloader to unlock thereafter once I'm done playing with the stock ROM, will promptly Install CrDroid.
I've had CrDroid on my Honor 5x & HTC one m8, never encountered any issues and found it to be very stable with all features working.
If I recall it's derived of both Lineage + RR and that's evident through the customisation it offers + stability - maybe you can give that a try?
Hi guys! I am making this thread so that we could have a place to tell the community which is the most satisfying ROM and kernel in our opinion and experience that you have used or most probably are using right now. Guys it would be really helpful if you share what qualities make that ROM or kernel most satisfying in your opinion like bb or performance or something unique about that ROM or kernel. Guys I welcome you to share any special settings (ROM or ka) you have done to achieve that satisfaction. So guys do share and help the community and show gratitude to respective developers as well .....
Thank You!
My choice is crdroid nougat official with stock kernel. Super stable and nice bb for my usage. I'm using it right now. No special settings. Just extreme battery saver all the time.
I think that the combination ofofficial RRos nougat and beacon kernel is very stable. I'm using it right now
I haven't used many ROMs but the most satisfying ROM for me is Viper Coral [nouget ]. Its butter smooth and best batter backup. It also doesn't have slow charging problem unlike other Oreo ROMs . It take only 2-2.5 hours to complete charge the device. Since I am not a Jio user I don't know about volte.
for me it's the viper os coral 3.1.1 final by impulsar it even shows certified in device status in play store , it's the most stable rom for me gr8 bb no volte issue nothing it's the best with stock kernel & also with beacon
Both vipers are great I.e. impulsar's and dinesh's both are certified in play store
Unofficial CrDroid by difr
Extreme performance!
Yup.. True.. Extreme performance.. Butter smooth, excellent multitasking possibilities. Good battery backup (but not the best), but wen compared to performance, this is more than sufficient.. Excellent work by developer.. Kudos..
liquid remix, stock kernel.
I am very pleased with AEX 4.6 and the Spicey Kernel. Great battery backup, responsiveness and performance, GCamMod and everything else is working. The only downside is that it is not actively maintained anymore, so no new security updates. As I had several problems with Oreo ROMs and their GAPPS, I hope that the developers will iron out these issues to make the switch sometime in the future (the unofficial crDroid build was promising, but GAPPS didn't work there for me).

Why? Is there any issue when you were using oreo GApps?
I'm using Oreo and Nano GApps right now, it runs normally without any issue

Yes, I had issues with the 8.1 April 1st release (pico and nano) from opengapps.org. I first flashed the ROM, rebooted and then flashed GAPPS and I got "play services stopped" as soon as I try to setup my device. And as I did mention in the other posts, I've tried other ROMs and TWRPs as well with the same reproducible result and ran out of options there. Hence I got back to AEX 4.6 and even flashing it together with GAPPS went without problems wheras I get bootloops if I flash them together with Oreo ROMs.

I did try even older ones from December, but that did not work as well. Look overe here in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/help/flash-oreo-roms-t3743439/page4
Some people found a solution which worked for them, but I haven't tried them myself yet.
Bootleggers and unofficial crdroid by difr
I have used many custom roms with stock and beacon combo (excluding treble as beacon for treble is not out yet)
I vote for Bootleggers ROM.
It's a complete package with 99.9% pure android bug-less experience. All features work flawlessly. Best thing about this rom is Battery Backup. it's amazing, a LOT more compared to any other rom be it Nitrogen RR Firehound Cr AEX LiquidRemix Viper PixelExperience MIUI etc. I have tried them all but finally Bootleggers compelled me to stick with it for Battery Backup and almost NO bugs.
My latest choice - AEX oreo build by Woivod

CR droid by diffr (14042018) - best performance, great battery, fast charging (1950 mA), mostly stable, No heating issue, Best gaming performance.
Could anyone who tried may provide a short or detailed review of MoKee ROMs New Official Nightly Builds?
Are there any improvements or features you get there above Official or Unofficial Lineage OS builds?
Day-to-day performance (not specific to gaming), battery life and Network connectivity, etc.
I just realised today that MoKee is back for beryllium:
https://download.mokeedev.com/beryllium
i had been trying mokee on my redmi note 5 pro lastyear (oreo)
that time i had bugs like
1. voip not working for imo
2. whatsapp making random reboots
3. minimal customization
4. popup ads (since mokee team encourage us to buy)
5. low/NO attention to feedback, i reported bugs many times but even thou, they release nightly builds every morning, all they were doing was updating apps or kernels to latest version. no development or debugging ever noticed (not by me atleast)
since I never tested the PIE or PIE on anyother device ,,, I will try to download and flash it! and will update my findings soon
Hi Guys hope you r donig well ♥
and suggestions about a stable rom & kernel for my 2gb version
i don't play pubg or games , only use my phone for camera and social media
i do prefer N roms cuz most of the people say that pie still have some issues
thanks for your time guys ♥
Citrus-caf obviously. Though it's a little bit old, i.e. Dec, 18. Nevertheless, it's the most stable among all. It's the only Pie rom for kenzo having SE Linux enforcing. Flash it with orangefox recovery and opengapps 64 bit nano package. Good luck.
Stabe and Up-to-date Custom ROM for Redmi Note 3, meet /e/!

/e/ has this nasty bug that powers down the device at certain battery percentage, highly unstable. Also kernel (stock LineageOS 14.1) hasn't been updated in years which makes this security oriented ROM unsecure.

I never experienced that bug on /e/ so far, my battery goes as down as 1% very often without any issue (which is terrible for its longevity actually)

in my experience at least, it is very stable. I was on Havoc OS before, which wasn't that stable.

Could you elaborate on that kernel issue please?
note that at the the present time, the "Phone Status" screen displays the following:
Kernel version: 3.10.105-lineageos-g92430f1a110 .... Fri Jul 5 02:59:21 UTC 2019
and
Android security patch level: june 5, 2019

I was referring to the battery bug as being unstable. It's a bug within stock kenzo LineageOS 14.1 kernel which /e/ is powered by. Which takes me to the security part; there are system level patches, which are up to date, no problem with that and kernel level patches. Kernel was last updated (not built, different thing) on November 2017, which makes your device vulnerable to some serious exploits.

Oh, now I see what you mean. I used to have that issue for a while back when I was on Lineage OS, but after I replaced my two years old battery, that behavior stopped completely! so I just put the blame on the battery age.

Thank you for the explanation, I just looked it up. So the Linux kernel 3.10.y reached its End Of Life almost two years ago! and the date displayed on "Settings > About phone" is just the actual building date. Well that's a serious security flaw related to the vendor/device itself, whatever the Custom ROM one chooses to install.
That being said, and if the OP still wants to keep his device, /e/OS is a right choice compared to the other Custom ROMs, for the remaining reasons stated in my first reply.
Cordially,
(Device: HDX 7 Thor) Alright... This is the first time ever for me to flash a ROM..
The principles that I have in mind is that I do NOT want the latest, greatest and most secure ... I want the lightest on resources...
As you guys probably already know with each new Android release it becomes more memory and power hungry, so I reckon I want a (stable and fully functional) ROM based on an older release..
According to my research I realized that most users recommend LineageOS but I can only find the oldest version going back to 2017..
Another ROM I found here in the forum is Nexus v4.0.5 which is based on Kitkat..
What do you guys think the advantages and disadvantages of installing either
-Latest LineageOS
-Fire Nexus KTU84Q (a very stable version of the latest Fire Nexus v4.0.5)
-Oldest stable version of LineageOS or CYANOGENMOD
-AospExtended (based on Nougat)
Im to looking for best option for wifi/bluetooth connectivity. Plus it needs to be android 5.0 or newer for the dedicated app I'm using.
Did you find a good one?
I'm in the same boat. Was running AospExtended for a while now, but the WiFi issues and GMS drain was driving me crazy. When it runs, it's very smooth and has great battery life - 1 month in standby, >>8h of usage. Trying now the latest LineageOS, but I suspect the same issues will be there.
