Mi pad 1 still worth it for heavy gaming like pubg, ark survival & etch?
I bought this Mipad just because i wanna play PUBG with a larger screen.
It does run quite well in lowest setting and medium FPS setting.
Just hope that there's a way to reduce the QHD display to FHD so that it will run games better....
Is this worth for reading, video and browsing (with a nice screen obviously)?
Saw it quite cheap in gearbest and the price gap compared to the mi pad 3 is huge.

Yes, its consider the best bang of the buck tablet...
Considering its performance, QHD display and huge battery are quite good compare to others cheap tablet in the market....
In case you wanna use it for gaming, u can flash Shield's Blob to get better gaming performance...
Does switching display resolution impact the battery life of the device? How significant is it?
My experience is not much. Higher res will make higher demands of the battery. I use WQHD+ instead of FHD as not really seen much of a hit though that said there is not a lot between either mode. I should try FHD+ again.
Not that much, I always get about 6-7 hours of screen on time with WQHD+ on FHD+ is about 30 min more.
But on the other hand the difference in actual resolution is not that high either. So you will barely notice any difference in sharpness.
Does anyone here regret of buying a poco in place of Mi 8 ? My one reason of regret is LCD screen.
Here in Europe (Latvia) mi 8 costs like only a little bit more than poco (300 euros vs 350) and it has an OLED screen.
At the time of my purchase, mi 8 cost significantly more than poco for some unknown reason but after a very short time it dropped a lot in price.
Dont get me wrong, i love the phone and it really is incredible for the price, but just wanted to share
Anyone wanting Mi8 for its display should always check Notebookcheck's review, they have much more detailed testing of the display hardware than GSMArena.
If you don't like Poco you can sell it off and buy other phone. Mi 8 has smaller battery for me I like 4000mAh. No phone is perfect it's just a matter of taste.
Not a bit. I love it, I can sacrifice a bit of screen quality for more battery. Better then sticking to a wire
I hate some of the software kinks that it has. But otherwise the phone is brilliant. My call quality has improved significantly and that battery life is just amazing.
It's been bugging my mind, I do like the face unlock, ip68, but the x 5000 mah, better speakers and huge screen is so tempting...
Do you really need that big of a screen? You need it for documents or gaming? Bigger screen also means bigger battery usage. Such a huge phone is hard to hold. It may be damaged/dropped more often.
Always preferred bigger phones, battery is super on Pro so probably be a bit better on 20X, better speakers is nice.
But i'm gonna miss 3D face unlock, ip68 and super charge, still need to make a decision.
Ordered the X, should be here in a few days
1)Heating:
My Poco M4 4g heats to 41C while watching instagram reels.
Is this normal?
Does your phone do the same?
what about redmi note 11s 4g? is it any better in this regard?
2)CPU Throttling:
My phone throttles to 53% of max performance and battery drained 4%, does this mean for the most part this phones antutu score is reduced by half when CPU is throttling?
how much does your phone throttle?
3)DISPLAY:
My m4 pro's display is slightly yellowish/warm. Reading mode is off
Is your poco m4 pro 4g display yellowish/warm or blueish/cool?
My previous phone Vivo Y91i has a bluish/cool display the whites look way more bright and white even with low brightness. On Poco the greys like comment area on instagram reels etc... look yellowish, which looks horrible. naturally all the pictures I take look yellowish/warm
I tried setting the color temperature to cool but its still yellowish. I tried color color schemes Vivid, Saturated and Standard. Standard was the worst.
Can I fix it with the right settings? or an app (I hear those drain battery) or is there a blue tinted screen protector? (just throwing it out there)
4)Camera:
Selfie camera oversharpens, makes my skin look bad.
Does your camera oversharpen too? or is it just mine?
I tried Gcam 8.4.600 skin looks smoother but Gcam is only capable of making 4MP images.
Do you know of an alternative camera app? Or atleast tricks to edit the photos?
5)Screen on time:
I get 7 hours of SOT on wifi with 75% brightness level(I don't have a SIM card in it at the moment)
How much SOT do you get and what is your brightness level
6)Speaker loudness:
Before buying this device I checked GSMArena's loudness rating and on comparing with poco x4 pro M4 pro 4g was rated better. Recently I watched a video comparison where reviewer says its not quite as loud as x4 pro.
are GSMArena's rating wrong? or is TechTablets wrong?
Are Dolby certified phones like moto g52 or g71 louder?
The only issue that I recognise from that list is oversharpening, which the stock camera app is guilty of. You can fiddle with it a bit in the settings to improve it, but I've not found any other apps much better. I'm perfectly happy with my screen-on time, loudspeaker, display tint etc.
I would note that the display seems to boost brightess in bright sunlight which you can't adjust using the brightness slider in the settings drawer which is a bit irritating.

Heating up to 41C while watching instagram reels is normal on most phones?
Youtube reviewers said the phone heats up while gaming, which I understand and didn't care for as I don't game usually but no one oncesaid using insta heats up so badly, which would have made me reconsider my buying decision.
Will future MIUI updates fix heating issues ?
Mine is showing rectangle lightnings on the left half, like lines. It happens all day, I have disabled everything, back to cnfigure, activated/isactivated always on, etc. None has any result. At night, it resists to unlock so I have to push repeatedly the unlock button, the torch answers but the screen remains black.
I would just return it if its possible.

I think "Android system" has always been the top of the battery usage chart on every phone I've ever used. Try BetterBatteryStats for a better breakdown of what's actually using the most power.
