Screen protector that covers *whole* screen - OnePlus 6T Accessories

Hi.
I was using foil based screen protector for long time but it wear out so I'm out for something new. I thought about getting glass or hydrogel one but I've noticed they don't cover whole screen but only flat part. So the edges aren't protected and as a "bonus" this does create sharp edge that is especially noticeable when swiping from edge (like some gestures or something).
So is there good glass or hydrogel protector that covers whole screen, also with rounded part? Can you recommend any? Or should I get back to foil one if it bothers me so much?

My recommendation would be to get a case for the phone, as well. I'm still using the one that came in the box, and it works great with the screen protectors I've used. Though, I haven't tried a tempered glass one. I've been using film ones.

Haha...nevermind. I suppose you probably already got one in the intervening 6 months.

Zerolemon Glass Screen Protector Review

Zerolemon 9H Ultra Glass Armor: Tempered Glass Screen Protector
Unboxing:
I received a review unit from Zerolemon. The screen protector was sent in a bubble wrapped package. The packaging on the screen protector itself is thin poster board with plastic cut outs for the various pieces. It came with the screen protector itself, a small micro-fiber cloth and an alcohol wipe.
Installation:
Zerolemon has installation instructions printed on the poster board packaging. I didn’t need them, but for though who do, the instructions don’t make sense at all. Luckily the pictures convey much more than the written instructions do.
I applied the screen protector in my bath-room after I had the hot water running in the shower for about 10 minutes to minimize any dust particles that were in the air. I tried using the micro-fiber cloth to clean the screen of any residual oil and particles. It did a good job getting rid of oily residue, but is horrible at picking up dust, which might be due to the cloth being tiny (2”x2”). Then I used the alcohol wipe to wipe down the screen one more time. That did the trick. It removed the rest of the particles.
After taking a plastic film off the screen protector I placed it on my phone. The great thing about it is that you can move it slightly to get it to fit perfectly then tap the middle of the screen and the screen protector will adhere to the screen like magic! I didn’t have any issues with bubbles.
Initial Impressions:
The screen protector is much thicker than a plastic one. It somewhat hides the home button because the screen protector is thicker than the protruding button. Not really an issue with me because I actually prefer that so I don’t accidentally press the home button when the phone is in my pocket, but it might bother others. Powering on my device and testing the responsiveness of the screen, the first thing I noticed how nice it felt to touch. Feels just like the glass on the phone. With the rounded edges I wasn't able to feel where the screen protector started and ended from edge to edge of the phone.
The screen’s responsiveness was noticeably diminished. All gestures and taps had to be deliberate for the phone to register the touch. I use the S-Pen quite often to create illustrations on the device. For regular navigation using the S-Pen it operated like normal, but I noticed that I had to push harder while doodling on the screen or using the hand writing recognition. Due to the diminished responsiveness I did have to go into “Settings>Controls>Auto-adjust touch sensitivity” and enable that option so that the screen would return to normal.
Viewing angles are comparable to naked screen.
I will update again in about 2 weeks after I’ve had more time to put it through the torture test of life.
Any info on how thick it is, it looks exactly like the same as the MIME Feather Glass. I use the s-pen with the MIME and I didn't have to turn up the sensitivity but it's only .15mm thick.

It's 0.3mm according to their website.
I hope to be receiving mine soon and will comment on the touch screen responsiveness as well. I currently use a 0.4mm thick glass screen protector (it started to bubble randomly, so I needed a new one anyways), and haven't noticed any reduction in responsiveness, so hopefully my experience will be able to provide a different experience than the OP (especially as I'm going from glass to glass, while it appears as though OP went from plastic to glass, which in my opinion is an incomparable difference).
I just received my review unit as well. It's very thin and barely noticeable. I'm using it with my ZeroLemon Extended Battery and it fits perfectly under the case. I haven't had screen responsiveness issues as mentioned in the OP.
I'll post pics up a little later.

The screen protector wasn't built in on my case.
If yours has one built in, then you should probably remove it.

I got my review unit today and its pretty good. Mouahmong's review is almost spot on. If you know how to apply a screen protector you are good to go. However, if you have never done it before, watch a Youtube video because the instructions shown on the inside of the package are terribly written.
My advice on applying (especially if your house/apartment or wherever you live is dusty) do it after a hot shower. Doing so will let the dust settle.
The screen protector does have somewhat rounded edges so it's not sharp unlike some other cheaper tempered glass screen protectors. However, with a 0.3mm thickness, you won't even be able tell.
I didnt have much of an issue with the home button after applying the screen protector. Some other brands will provide a stick on item to put on top of the home button so its easier to press, but with this screen protector being pretty thin (0.3mm) you wont need it IMO.
Other than that, so far so good. If I find any cons, I'll update this review.

Hey everyone I haven't received my test piece yet but I was wondering about the link zerolemon provided it doesn't take me anywhere to provide feedback or suggestions.

Here are some pics with the Tempered Glass Screen Protector paired with the ZeroLemon Extended Battery/Rugged Case. This thing is very thin. The previous glass screen protector I had installed was too thick and caused the top corners to lift up. No problem here. Fits like a glove.
Installed the zerolemon screen protector a few days ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT with my 10,000 mah battery and rugged case! I never liked screen protectors because I thought they took away the OEM glass feel and clarity. I now admit my past reservations were completely wrong and I will never have my phone screens go naked again! The zerolemon glass screen protector fits like a glove with the 10,000 mah battery and rugged case and I would strongly recommend the protector to everyone who owns the rugged case to give this a shot. Last thing, the cost of this is better than most of the other name brand protectors out there.

Haven't tried it in sunlight but it should glare just as much as the regular glass.
This isn't a anti glare screen protector.
So far it does well in direct sunlight. Minimal glare. Similar to stock naked.

It is the same as the OEM glass screen, no better and no worse. I think the glass protector feels smoother than the OEM screen. Maybe it's because the oleophobic coating was starting to wear off but I swear the new screen protector feels buttery smooth when I swipe my finger or use the s pen.

So your saying to install it after a hot shower as in install the unit on your phone in the bathroom? Ive heard of the method before but didn't quite understand.

People recommend installing in the bathroom because steam from the hot water will prevent dust particles from floating in the air.

I love it so far. The packaging is nothing fancy but the product is top notch. I previously had the Nillkin tempered glass and this one is identical to it which is a good thing. All the cutouts are perfect. It feels just like the naked screen. The price is very much reasonable unlike those other brands selling them for $20+ and the quality is the same.

I just received my review unit and will update this thread with my review in a few days. I did notice though after installing the screen protector there is a "bubble" in the top portion of the screen right overtop the notification panel and directly under the Samsung logo. I thought maybe I installed it wrong or slightly sideways so I very gently pulled it back up making sure I didn't touch the sticky backing and realigned the glass with the home button and pressed it back down firmly. The "bubble" is still present but a tad smaller then it was originally. I kept rubbing the screen hoping to eliminate the bubble like other brand plastic type screen protectors and no dice. I will give it a few days and hopefully it will work itself out. I hope I didn't somehow get a "defective" glass that wasn't completely flat which is causing this bubble. See attached pic showing the "bubble" and the packaging stating it has "Bubble Free Installation". [emoji53]

Screen protectors and cases; whatcha got?

Before I order something random from Amazon, I thought I would ask what everyone is using and what you think of it. The only post I found in any of the other threads was someone with a tempered glass screen protector who wasn't happy with the fit.

well, I have a tempered glass screen protector on it, and I am very happy with it. It is a 100 times beter than any other plastic screenprotector, as it will not scratch easily.

Well... for a screen protector, I found this:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NILL...ctor-Film-For-Lenovo-K3-NOTE/32319213616.html
I gave it a chance, even thought I was like "meh, Chinese junk maybe", but today after 4 months, it looks the same! BEST screen protector I ever had.
iPaky case (Gold)
iPaky case from amazon.in
Using this, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free..._78_77_80,searchweb201644_0,searchweb201560_9
Fits perfectly but can be found cheaper ofc

This case is good but bumper is of plastic which is delicated.
I have tried every thing out there and ended up with everything Nillkin, case and screen
I have the black/gold Ipaky case and a tempered glass screen protector. I like them both.
Does anyone know of a desktop battery charger to charge a spare battery out of the phone?

I also have an iPaky case bought from ali express. (Black version in my case)
Build quality is good an the case stays higher than the screen protecting it from falls.
The back is super grippy with a nice pattern.
For a screen protector i use a tempered glass one which is stronger than a normal plastic screen protector and doesn't leave bubbles after being applied. It costs a bit more than ordinary screen protectors but you can get one for as low as 1€ from Aliexpress.
I own two cases, one is a simple one with a transparent black color while the other one has an Audi sportscar drawn on it.
So here is what I got:
Aksberry tempered glass screen protector
Pros:
good fit
Tempered glass does seem very hard
rounded edges don't catch on things (like pockets)
Cons:
seems to reduce sensitivity of touch screen
mine has a flaw that has created a bubble under it. It is on the lower edge, so it doesn't affect its operation, just an annoyance to look at.
Nillkin case
Pros:
good fit
edge extends above screen (and screen protector)
extends above buttons. This also helps prevent accidental button presses (am I the only person who thinks that power button is in exactly the wrong spot?)
Cons:
haven't noticed any
Currently using the iPaky case with the silver frame. I love it. The iPaky cases are one of the best out there. I have also a leather flip cover, it's nice but I don't use it much for whatever reason.
did anyone notice the screen protector sensor hole is on the wrong side?
left which has nothing on it, right is where the sensor is.
damn....
Hi,
My Lenovo glass had broken many times & now it gives problem of sensing. Where should I get to change the glass & how much it cost?
I use a tempered glass protector with a skin I ordered from skins4gadgets. The skin is good enough for my usage.

Olixar Huawei P10 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

I would urge you to ditch the plastic screen protector that is provided with the phone and get a premium tampered glass protector. Not only does it make the screen view much better, as well it makes handling the phone much easier, and something this phone deserves.
have you any photos of this tempered glass on P10?
Just google "Olixar Huawei P10 Tempered Glass Screen Protector".
Although it left 2-3 mm bubbles around the edges of the whole phone, which isn't nice, the bubbles looks like grey dirt, and I can't remove these bubbles. Might be looking for another brand like Zagg or something equivalent.

These bubbles are the cause why I don't replace the screen foil ^^
I use an screen protector like i posted in the oleophobic thread. No bubbles or anything here. But i don't know if it is sold somewhere outside the Netherlands.
I think these manufacture has improved over these years in producing protectors for curved glass, probably the latest trend is a normal glass protector and they include a tube of liquid adhesive to squeeze along the edge to cover the gaps, I check a few out to try, although they are not available for purchase out of hong kong or china, so I cannot provide a link, but I think places like ebay or amazon will have them available but at a much increased priced.
@ the ops, I too removed the protector, the supplied one is a good quality one, but I had a speck of dust underneath, and wasn't sure if it was dust or bright pixel. I just used one of my Sony XP protector and cut to shape for now untill I get a proper one.
Any suggestions which company do good on the p10?
I've tried two brands.
LK branded glass screen protector from Amazon UK. The fit was good, the black border blended in perfectly on my P10 black. But there was a big rainbow patch in the middle. I complained, the service was excellent, got a replacement no questions asked. But the new one also had a rainbow patch, even bigger!
Then I gave up and ordered a different one. An OMOTON branded one, also from Amazon. This one was all transparent glass, no gaps around the sides, and covers the whole screen width. It's a little short, ending with a gap at the top and bottom of the phone. However, the screen is so smooth to tap, and the brightness and colours so much better than the LK protector.
So I would recommend the OMOTON. It doesn't offer full protection, but I pair it with a simple tpu case with a lip, and it works quite well together.
Thanks for the help. Tomorrow a PULESEN, (via Amazon) will arive. If it is not that good, I go for your recommendation.
I ordered a GlasRitter protector by tradelis via eBay Germany.
It doesn't fit perfectly - the hole for the home button is around 1mm too low.
Also the glass looks like a mirror. When I'm outside at sunny weather it's really annoying and when I'm in the dark with a small light source, like a bed light, I can see myself.
So, don't buy this - it's oleophobic, but the rest isn't that good.
But it's the only one I found which covers the whole screen including the small area under the home button. Without this I don't want a protector. I need a full protector. Any recommendations?
After killing the first one of PULESEN with dust, I was able to figure out how to place the second one. It was not that easy but currently I am satisified.

Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protector

My current phone is a Nexus 6P and I have been using a Spigen case + an intelliArmor tempered glass screen protector. Both products are excellent and I have been thrilled with them (and the phone), but the battery is starting to go on me so I figured it was time for a replacement. After some research I settled on the XZP (G8142).
I was able to order the Spigen case for the XZP, but intelliArmor does not make a screen shield (that I can find), so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Supershieldz before.
I looked at getting the Skinomi skin and just using the part for the screen along with the Spigen case, but I really prefer tempered glass.
Looking forward to my first Xperia phone!
** UPDATE **
The protector, phone, and case all came in. The Spigen case is top notch as expected, as is the phone itself.
The screen protector is also fantastic. I tried putting it on the recommended way (using the guide stickers), but I could never get the right alignment using this method. I ended up free-handing it and lining it up as best I could, and I think I got within a half millimeter or so of a perfect application (the bottom is perfect, the top speaker is slightly off but not enough to be annoying or obstruct the speaker). There were absolutely no air bubbles to smooth out, which surprised me.

Is the adhesive just on the edges of the Tempered Glass? Is there some oil-like residue between the screen and glass?
I purchased a very similar Tempered Glass protector to the Supershieldz version and found the adhesive is just on the edges, top/bottom/left and right but the entirety of the screen, where the border is not is free to flex and obviously, with the gap that exists without adhesion has an odd oil-like residue, which many users reported.
I have had my XZP for a week now and have not even used it because I want a proper Tempered Glass protector which has received good reviews, along with a folio/wallet/flip case which has a strong latch/magnet to protect the phone overall, along with waiting for a DRM/TA fix before I stop using the Z5P and move onto my XZP.

Mine has the glue on the edges but there's no oil or anything in the middle.
It looks very similar to the Supershieldz one, might even be a rebrand. It's under the brand name "Panzer Glass".
It works pretty much flawlessly.

The one I purchased is very similar also, but has the cut-out where you can see the Sony 'logo'. Reviews are poor for those, everyone has observed the same issues as myself. I have purchased several other Tempered Glass Protectors, still waiting for them to arrive, different styles and brands to see which is the best fit with the best coverage. I will report back.

I didn't actually notice if the adhesive was along the edges or the entire piece of glass, but it seemed like the whole piece had adhesive when I peeled off the protective plastic before applying.
I have been using the phone with the protector for about two weeks and here are my observations:
I have moved my thumbs with ample pressure across the face of the protector to see if the glass shifts or moves. It hasn't budged.
No oily residue or weird artifacts.
The fit is quite nice. Without a case, the edges would be noticeable, but with the Spigen case on you can hardly tell there is a screen protector.
In bright/direct sunlight or when you hold the phone in bright light just right you will see a grid of dots on the LCD screen - I don't know if this is because of the protector or the screen itself. It doesn't bother me as it is not noticeable the majority of the time.
My account is too new to link to external sites, so just search supershieldz xperia xz premium on Amazon and it should come up.

Appreciate the feedback. I have just taken possession of a Muvit Tempered glass, it is clear without any borders but just the same as the rest. Everyone I have tried thus far has adhesive only on the edges, the larger portion of the screen is free to flex and move and due to that, requires a firmer press and in doing so, you hear a crisp packet like noise, a sort of crunching sound. Really annoying me now, but it is due to the curvature of the screen that we are seeing a lack of good quality glass protectors. For the Z5P I found P-Think on Amazon to be the best, yet to find any suitable candidates for the XZP.
I will order a double pack of Supershieldz soon.

Question Screen protector upon arrival?

The mix 4 came with a screen protector installed?
There is seemingly to be a piece that intentionally left out the circle at the Top, hence making the front camera position very obvious.
I've been trying to remove it, from the sides, but have difficulty doing so...
Yes it has low quality protection screen foil.
thanks, i've managed to tear it away.
found some tempered glass on ebay, looks a very good fit, but no tried them yet,
Has anyone found a protector without holes/cutouts? I bought two sets and both of them have holes for the front camera.
Yeah there are some tempered glass on amazon, good but fingerprint sensor stops working.
I am currently using a film version now, ok but peel at the edges.
