[Guide] GPay in unsupported country (Yes, India too)
Okay so after having tried several guides, apps hacks and what nots, I couldn't get GPay to work here in India. However after some more fiddling around I ended up getting access to rather easily than expected. I'd straight away get to the steps...

maybe the same process could be done to make samsung pay work in your region.

Hi,
Long story!
I got an S3 from a friend who need help because it was very slow and whatnot, anyways, he also told me that this S3 is not from UAE but it's working fine here, just very slow.
I said well, I will install a UAE firmware and hard rest it, which I did but ever since, I get this NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK.
I read every possible thread about this issue here and elsewhere and tried all methods like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z6zTfe-sC4
None of it worked out for me.
I tried another Android firmwares (4.3 Etisalat UAE, 4.2.1 Etisalat UAE and finally 4.3 T-Mobile Germany)
The reason, I chose Germany is because when I did first the hard reset before installing the UAE firmware, the phone was in German, so I had to choose English.
Now, obviously something in the UAE firmware is not compatible with the phone, maybe modem, basband...I don't know.
How do I know which firmware to download from sammobile and from which country.
I'm not even sure that it's Germany! It could be Austria, Swiss and even Germany has many operators, O2, T-mobile, Vodafone etc......
Is it even possible to restore the phone to it's very original software after trying all of these Firmwares? I doubt it.
One more thing, from the threads I read here and there about this problem, this issue has to do with the IMEI but it's not my case I think.
When I hit *#06# I get a regular IMEI, nothing lost.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank You in advance
Take it back to your friend. It's either stolen and imei blacklisted or region locked now you updated it to 4.3.
Search and read to find out more.

This friend of mine works at the Norwegian Embassy and his phone he got it from the Norwegian staff there, but it was bought outside the country.
And he has been using it for over a year .
Anyways, I went to samsung and it's either software or motherboard because the IMEI is showing on the device meaning it's written on the software but it got corrupted on the hardware.
will see
waiting for their call

Hello everyone,
My phone was stolen last week in mexico city, and I baught a new one there at Walmart.
The phone (Huawei p20 lite) is issued to AT&T.
Now I'm back home (Israel) from the vacation, and when I enter my Israeli sim the phone requests a code.
I tried to contact at&t and tried using their form to request unlock but it doesnt recognize my IMEI, niether the mexican phone number.
Please help, I am able to root or install a stock rom if it will help, or any other instructions from you experts
Thanks alot
I think you need reBrand your device to your country. Look in xda in any Huawei Forum (actual Huawei-Family with OREO) for Help.
The Question is : have p20 lite for your country different Hardware (LTE-Bands ...) ?
Question 2 : have you the know how to do this ? It is not simple but it is very simple to brick the device !
Hey, thanks for your reply
The LTE frequency do match the ones in my country so that is not the issue if you are asking.
I have never done this on this phone, but if I find a guide that explains it step by step it would not be a problem.
Hello Guys,
I purchased my S9 Plus from Qatar. Now I am in India. Here it is not supporting VOLTE and Samsung Pay (Indian Bank). Samsung Play is showing for United Arab Emirates.
What is the easiest way to work them in India?
Thanks.
Still no one reply!
First, you're at forum, not group chat, please don't make spam replies and be patient to wait someone assist you.
Second, you have to make sure your phone is from India, if not use Odin to flash India firmware and make sure your phone number is from India telco.
Third, if already follow situation above, try a factory reset to make sure your phone system has already followed India services.
maple_mak thanks for reply and sorry for being inpatients.
My phone is not from India. It is from United Arab Emirates. So, flash using Odin with India firmware is only solution, if I understand correctly. Will it trip Knox? Mine is S9 Plus duos. Hope Firmware of India (SM-G965F) will solve the situation.
I have flashed with latest Indian Firmware. Got Volte and Samsung Play with India bank. And Knox is not tripped. Thanks.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy J8 from Australia because I lost my phone there. When I came home to India I found out that the Australian J8 does not support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) but I need VoLTE for my Indian sim card to work. So I went to the Samsung service center but they straight away denied any support since I bought this in another country.
The Indian varient J8 supports VoLTE but the Australian one does not even when both the phones have the exact same hardware. So its a software limitation.
Can anyone suggest any method I can use to install any custom ROM that'll support VoLTE.
I'm willing to install anything, root my phone or whatever it takes since I'm never gonna get any warranty on this. So I might as well try everything else.

Just download Indian firmware from sammobile and flash via odin, that will contain latest modem for your device. It might bring VoLTE, because I think its software problem.

I tried but it won't let me install any other model firmware. My phone's Model Number is SM-J810Y but the phones available in India have model number SM-J810G. So it won't let me install the "G" firmware. I get a failed message.
Do you have any other suggestion?

Hi
Check here , but unless you have not updated your phone since Feb. they may not work, try anyhow.
Samkey or root may be your only options left.....
