Recently i bought an S21 from another country because its cheaper and has more internal space than the one sold here in my country, the thing is that when i tried to change the csc to the one of my country it didnt change, the one installed is UPO and i want to put ZTO, i saw some tutorials using samkey but i dont want to pay to change my csc, is there a way to do it without tripping knox? I dont have warranty because i bought in another country but if something goes wrong and i have to go to samsung to do some repair i want it to have my country csc

Hi
For your first question read here
For the second question , not too familiar with the U1 version or the services available in Qatar , The right CSC and if the service is available in the carrier you are using it would enable esim

Hi
I'm not sure if this has already been answered on here so please forgive me for asking again if it has,
I bought a samsung galaxy S3 in the UK, and I am going to South Africa next week and wanted to give the phone to my sister, was wondering how to change the csc from UK to the South African network.
I will explain, when I bought the phone, it is a 3 network mobile, I put my vodafone sim card in and it said "sim unlock pin"
I rooted the phone, bought the voodoo unlocking software and it seemed to do the trick, so now when i put my vodafone sim card in, it doesnt ask for a sim unlock pin anymore, and if i go and look in my available networks i see a whole load of networks for example the list looks like this
Vodafone UK(3G)
current network
vodafone UK(2G)
Available Network
T-Mobile Uk(3G)
Forbidden Network
and so on,the list goes on, i only have Orange that also says available network, the rest say forbidden network.
When I type *#726#and my imei number, press the dial button, it doesn't do anything but comes back and says "not registered on network"
Can anyone please help me??
Thanks in advance

you can't change csc in a single csc rom! it works only in multi csc roms!
i think you have to change rom to have network working properly...
You need to flash a rom from south africa (just look up sammobile.com for the fitting file) in order to choose an south african CSC the way it is mentioned above.
By the way:
You said, you used voodoo sim unlock? After flashing one of the incmoing Jelly Bean Roms the Simlock might be active again!
Voodoo doesn't work on JB Roms.
You might want to simunlock you're phone using this method again: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846451
Good luck
Hi,
Long story!
I got an S3 from a friend who need help because it was very slow and whatnot, anyways, he also told me that this S3 is not from UAE but it's working fine here, just very slow.
I said well, I will install a UAE firmware and hard rest it, which I did but ever since, I get this NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK.
I read every possible thread about this issue here and elsewhere and tried all methods like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z6zTfe-sC4
None of it worked out for me.
I tried another Android firmwares (4.3 Etisalat UAE, 4.2.1 Etisalat UAE and finally 4.3 T-Mobile Germany)
The reason, I chose Germany is because when I did first the hard reset before installing the UAE firmware, the phone was in German, so I had to choose English.
Now, obviously something in the UAE firmware is not compatible with the phone, maybe modem, basband...I don't know.
How do I know which firmware to download from sammobile and from which country.
I'm not even sure that it's Germany! It could be Austria, Swiss and even Germany has many operators, O2, T-mobile, Vodafone etc......
Is it even possible to restore the phone to it's very original software after trying all of these Firmwares? I doubt it.
One more thing, from the threads I read here and there about this problem, this issue has to do with the IMEI but it's not my case I think.
When I hit *#06# I get a regular IMEI, nothing lost.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank You in advance
Take it back to your friend. It's either stolen and imei blacklisted or region locked now you updated it to 4.3.
Search and read to find out more.

hehehe!
This friend of mine works at the Norwegian Embassy and his phone he got it from the Norwegian staff there, but it was bought outside the country.
And he has been using it for over a year .
Anyways, I went to samsung and it's either software or motherboard because the IMEI is showing on the device meaning it's written on the software but it got corrupted on the hardware.
will see
waiting for their call

Hi i bought my Mega 6.3 (i9205) in france i didn't know if it factory unlocked now i move on the philippines due to work here i found out when i plugged a philippine carrier sim the sim is detected but no signal aside of that i know that my Stock Rom is XEF(France) it is possible to flash a Philippine Region Stock ROM for i9205?
Philippines
Product Code: XTC
PDA: I9205XXUCNA3
CSC: I9205OLBCNA3
my current rom
Product Code: XEF
PDA: I9205XXUCNA2
CSC: I9205OXXCNA1
MODEM: I9205XXUCNA2

If it detects your sim and displays the carrier/provider, then it should be unlocked.
If you bought it brand new, then the phone sim slot might be defective.
If you bought it used, then the previous owner might have messed up the efs.
Did you try to use it after you bought it in France? And did it work?
Be honest you bought it in the grey market HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
So is it kimstore or widget city? ))))))))))))))))))))))
You can flash any rom but obviously it would be better to flash a ph rom
I flashed an HK rom before

lol no and i didn't know that kimstore and widget city, by the way i'm not rooted how will i supposed to flash that firmware thank you.
Hehe sorry bro, its just that all the grey market phones here are either from france or uae, these come cheaper but without a warranty.
Just look for a guide on flashing a samsung rom using odin, its easy but you have to read the instructions clearly. You dont need to be rooted.
Which telecom do you use? Globe, smart or sun?
If you want the best signal, go for globe or smart
Best internet, smart unless you stick to CBD areas then Globe
LTE capable sims are different from regular sims but cost more
Try all 3 telecoms if I were you, prepaid sims cost peanuts here anyway. They go for p40 which is less than a euro
Oh, they could have sold you an expired sim card, try another sim card
Hi Guys Im using a SM-G965N in the UK, when I try to register for the Pie Beta it give me the message "Your sim card doenst match the service provider software on your phone. This is common if you've changed service providers or if your phone and SIM card are from different country's" Im using the 3 network in the UK and the phone is LGu... Anyone have any work around..?
Anyone? I have exactly same problem. I got sm-g965n with LG Uplus carrier living in other country. Can i just flask stock firmware in my region to get rid of all the bloats and also is there a way for me to participate in pie beta? I can also swap this one with carrier unlocked SD845 version. Can i flash US stock on that one also?
Hi guys, I'm running into a similar issue with G965F device in Canada.
Here's what I've been able to piece together. Each device is a hardware variant and can use a specific set of firmware variants (sometimes called Multi-CSC). Your hardware variant is G965N. And if you look at sammobile for hardware variant, you can see the set of firmware available for this specific device. Unfortunately for you, there is ONLY Korean firmware for this hardware variant. For me, I have many more options but still no Canada!
It it completely inadvisable to flash the firmware onto your device that is not specifically tailored to your hardware. It's especially stupid when the firmware is tailored for an entirely different chipset (for example, Exynos firmware for Snapdragon hardware). But even if the devices use the same chipset, there may exist other hardware differences that will cause instability/errors/ bricks/unknown.
So as far as I can tell, we're all screwed. Have a nice day
Great news. I got into Pie Beta with my g965n. I was about to change my phone when i found LG Uplus sim card in my country. I put the sim card in and was able to register and download OTA. Now i am on android pie.

I found it almost by luck. I was at this phone store when i randomly asked from a lady selling smart phones whether she had Lg Uplus sim card or not and she said yeah i got few. You can have one. That is how i found one. I wouldn't be able to ship it outside country without reliable shipping service in my country.

Hi. I want to flash a Brazilian firmware (dual SIM) into my US hardware (single SIM). Both are Snapdragon. Reason is that I want to use the Brazilian Samsung Pay. Bough the phone in the US but I live in Brazil.
Can I flash THIS ROM without problems? Will it trigger Knox? Any loss in functionality?
Thank you all.

not possible. also, is there not a CSC for your area you can flash instead?
I don't know why these guys say it's not possible, maybe it isn't with your model. I also don't want to give you any bad ideas or anything, so use your own discretion & research.
My phone was unusable when I did this, so I had nothing to lose when I did this (It worked though).
I easily flashed my canadian note 8 with a us firmware using modified odin (must be same version bootloader).
It has warranty status 0x0 (aka, Knox is NOT tripped).
AGAIN, I'm not advising you try this with your model, unless you know what you're doing. I just want to make the information available to you.
Edit: I'm just waiting for someone to upload snapdragon beta 3 one ui 2.0. I'm going to try the same method to convert my Canadian s9+ to USA version.
Edit 2: I can confirm this method works on my Canadian s9+ aswell.

Yeah I don't think it'll work on mine, since it's a single sim phone, and the ROM I wanted was for a dual sim version. Unless of course the hardware is the same and the second SIM slot is present. I could try, but I don't want to risk it. Maybe later when Sammy stops updating the phone.

Unfortunately not. The SM-G965U1 is the US unlocked version. There are only CSCs for American carriers.

if its truly unlocked, then you should already have the U1 firmware on it. Get modded Odin and the U1 firmware, flash it in Odin and go from there. I never looked back after ditching the carrier junk on my phone
Sometime ago I did somethinh like that on my Arabian S7 Edge that I bough in Paraguai, it was Dual Sim model and i flashed ZTO CSC via Odin, and the phone was working well, but i'm not sure if the reverse works, and even the models were similar (F vs FD version) in your case u have 965U vs 9650, I would not take that risk, i thing that a korean or chinese model is 9650 too
look at this picture, US version has more bands so the modem could be different, you can try but you're risking your phone

yep, they are different phones that just so happen to use the same processor. Different bootloader, same chassis for whatever reason. Anyways, there have been threads talking about converting the 9650 to a 965u, but ive never seen anyone confirming that it indeed works. Big risk, but as long as one can get back to Odin mode, one should be good.
