Sorry if this has all ready been talked about, but is there a case with a built in keyboard? I am planning on using this for school while tethering from my droid
if there is not a case with a built in keyboard what is your best suggestions for screen protectors or hard cases?
I was just thinking the same thing, I see alot of cheap ones on ebay, but the dimensions are set to to fit an ipad(7.5"x9.8"), but the gtab is 6.8"x10.5", I dont want part of the screen cut off, or part of the tablet hanging out of the case.
Hey, I found a nice keyboard, case/stand combo on amazon, heres the link:
http://www.amazon.com/Viewsonic-G-T...3LRLVE&s=merchant-items&qid=1300939884&sr=1-1
It's a wired keyboard, but that's fine with me, keeps me from having to worry about recharging my keyboard battery on top of the tablet battery.
If you look at the posts that were here already in the Accessories forum, you will see that this is actually a fairly hot topic and there are several options available.
I got one of these and its perfect

Similar Question as OP/ slightly different.
I need some opinions guys from those who have the keyboard cases and those who have just a standard case which angles.
Can you use the usb keyboard case comfortably with the keyboard folded all the way under the tablet?
( meaning if i just want to hold the device with 1 or 2 hands while watching tv is it comfortable?)
How often do those with the keyboard actually find themselves using the keyboard?
Is the virtual keyboard just as accurate with auto spell correct?
Question #2
Also is it worth buying a screen protector if your using a case? Its not like the device will be placed in my pocket and get scratched with my keys.... thats the only reason I buy screen protectors for my epic 4g.
I say pass on this case

1.) The case feels bulky in your hand if you fold it back to read something on the tablet while holding it especially with one hand. I found it really uncomfortable to leave it in the case for use when not typing on the keyboard.
2.) I used it often when I first bought the case then got another keyboard and case as this case really looks and feels cheap and I work with professionals so it really stuck out like a sore thumb in meetings.
3.) The "virtual keyboard" if you mean the keyboard that comes up on your tablet then I would say your question doesn't apply since the case keyboard doesn't make any spelling corrections (at least mine didn't) whereas the virtual keyboard(s) do offer corrections and suggestions for word completion.
Your question #2 which is really question 4.) If you want to use this case with keyboard then I would strongly recommend getting a screen protector as this keyboard isn't soft silicone but rather it's hard plastic. And since the gTab won't be snug in this case but will move quite a bit around the screen can get some rubbing damage if you keep it in the case a lot. Some people have suggested you use a soft rag and lay it on top of the keyboard when you close the case and also to use velcro or double-stick tape to secure the gTab to the case better.
In the end, I would just recommend you NOT buy this case since I just sold mine off on eBay. For the price it's not bad but once you start using it you will quickly find things to complain about it.
Fellow user it2Steve here on the gTab forums have several nice cases and soon one with a built-in bluetooth keyboard available for sale. Check out his threads and read his reviews. Hopefully you find what you're looking for.
i bought 2 of these ones...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...965439&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_798wt_1139
but the usb cable isnt long enough to reach the left side, and one of the holders is RIGHT where the usb plug goes in....so i'm going to have to do some modding

I have one too, quick fix is I had a usb mouse pad firm with lights and many usb plugs and I sit the case on that which is a nice flat surface and plug the mouse pad into that. I am using it now to type.

I am waiting for these to come in. Although in the images the case looks a little "cheap". I can't tell what the material is made out of.
I understand the Jetsream is a fesh product at this point with few accessories.... but
Its coming down to me purchasing an HTC Jetstream or Galaxy Tab, and my loyalty with my EVO has me swayed one way. My roommate has a Galaxy Tab though with the Zagg Keyboard Case. Its pretty hot. It bumped up the functionality of the Tab quite a bit.
If something as sleek was released for the Jetstream, I would be willing to wait in order to get it. Does anyone know of such an accessory? I like the way the Zagg case for the Tab is very hard and protective and turns into a stand as well. I want to see this same concept for the Jetstream.
This is a deciding factor for me. Anyone have any news on Jetstream keyboard cases?
Thanks!

So i check out my Favorite Tech Accessories manufacturer [Logitech]
and found two keyboard that may solve your Prob.
Logitech® Tablet Keyboard for Android™ 3.0+
Logitech Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1
Both can be found in on the Logitech Online store under "Tablet Accessories"
BTW in theory any Bluetooth keyboard & mouse would work just need the right
Case + Mouse + keyboard and your all set
The more I've used the tablet now, the more i like the virtual keyboard. I may wait on a hard keyboard.
i modded the $80 (at Walmart) iPad2 Kensington leather case that includes a Bluetooth keyboard. Of course had to do some cutting for the camera, cutting so the volume buttons were not being pressed, etc. Works great.
Remember... when looking at the REAR 8 Meg camera (not screen side) there are two small holes openings at the top of the unit. These seem to be light detectors for the camera, so you need to be sure the case does not block those two small diagonal holes.
Also, the center spline has enough space to velcro the HTC Scribe pen device for storage.

Cover Official Samsung
Here's the official cover galaxy tab........ http://www.mytrendyphone.com/shop/samsung-p6800-galaxy-66908p.html
Official Samsung Bookcase cover
I received my Samsung bookcover for the 7.7. I gotta say it's not as good as either the bookcover for the OG 7" or the 10.1. The back and the front are two distinct grades of material, and the front just kind of flops around. The cutout on the spine for the power button looks odd, and I don't know why anyone would want to power on the screen without opening the cover. Does the power button answer voice calls? You also have to keep it open to a fairly tight angle when using it to prop the tab for viewing or else it will slide and fall. The cover for the 7" was more solid and let you keep the tablet propped up in landscape mode at much wider angle. Another qualm is that the hardened edges don't cover the whole top right corner.
Still, the fit around the back of the tab is quite good. It does creak a bit but I suppose fitting anything around the thin form factor won't be perfect (as opposed to a case that the tab is fully enclosed in). The material quality is decent and it doesn't detract too much from the sleekness of the naked tab.
All in all, it's not a bad case and probably the best one available at this early stage. I'd just give it a C+ to the OG 7" bookcase's A.
To be honest, with such a wonderfully crafted, thin device as this is, I think that adding a case to it somewhat detracts from the overall design beauty. That's just my opinion though

I agree, sort of. But 1) I like to be able to have the device prop itself up to watch videos and the folding case works well for that, 2) Scratches on shiny expensive gear are worse than boiling puppies alive. The Tab pops out of the Samsung case easily enough if you admire the exterior.
the stock samsung case is very minimalistic and is very slick!
Is it worth the price?
I've been reading mixed opinions. Don't know what to think. :/
I'll be ordering it soon from Negri.
I will post mine when it arrive
Plssssss helppp needed then is the Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 coming to Singapore :'(

@dickyohyk you can try sgbest.com
Don't think it's worth 55 pounds, as advertised, but all in all it's very nice.
I've got my as a preorder bonus with my 7.7, I really like the quality, the top right corner is really not covered (that's odd, seems like they though of a stylus over there...). Also I miss some smartcover-like magnetic lock, but that's not a killer drawback. As for the cutout for power button, I think it's made to prevent accidental turn on when closed, by pushing on the side. Also, I would prefer book-like openning not the current way.

can I swiftkey with this:silly:
Looks kinda cool if you really need a physical keyboard. Only thing making me suspicious is the following "main selling point":
•Great gift included! Fast 6~10 Days Delivery!
What could that great gift be???
Free Gift=Card Reader
I think that the free gift they refer to is the card reader in the images for the product.

I am interested in this item but it looks to be larger than the face of the Note 3. I'd like to know if you can comfortably hold the phone+case open and thumb type. I wish they would release a folio back replacement that has a keyboard on the inside face and the bluetooth\NFC\battery in the spine\joint. If the front of the case(back of keyboard) was an e-ink screen it would turn the Note 3 into my perfect mobile computer.
Very interesting.
Anyone here get one? Kinda leery of it with only 3 reviews on Amazon. Also wish it had a kickstand but I can rig one onto it myself perhaps.
keyboard design looks good, no silly keys crowding out the all - important QWERTY. And it has nice arrows in the right spot. Hm.
with complete frsutration in no keyboard case looking to ever be made for my purchase of the top tablet at the time the Galaxy Pro i have ended my search and somewhat happy.
my first purchase after exhausting months of hoping and searching led me purchase the M-Edge Stealth which upon setting up was the most impressive 3rd party universal i had ever seen. i see no reason to go into all the details that had me loving this case because very quickly i discovered it had 1 flaw that completely killed it. one of the greatest features was t he magnet safe strap and the base was magnet as well and sadly this caused the Pro to go to sleep every time i would touch it. if you push it up in the holsters it was fine but touching it or moving it and it would slide down just a hair and that hair caused the magnets to put it to sleep. i spent some time since it was such a great case trying to make it work but with much sadness i had to return it.
my next purchase and what i am staying with is the Kensington Keyfolio Pro 2 and at this pricxe i can live with the few things i would change.
quick review:
- keyboard types nice and almost all the keys for Home , Settings, Volume, Web, Music, work and go to the app i desired. it also seems to autoconnect after casing it up and opening it back up again so functionaly it is very nice
- case sadly is not a nice leather feel like the M-Edge and although not bad it feels kinda like it might carck eventually like cheap fake leather can do but only time will tell
- it is in no way as thin as the M-Edge and much bulkier than he 11" laptop i would carry but not ridiculous to me
- it has large and small corners with velcro to allow to place it wherever on the back plate that holds it which is different put nice and allows some positioning to what you like. i will say though that i was going with the small angles anyway but the large were on it and one ripped as i tried to take it off and so i know now how to handle them.
- the Logitech or Zagg of my dreams would not have allowed me to take the keyboard out and place it where i like and i see the value in this now as well
- there is no camera hole on the back put it does state that you can cut it out and they thought of this but since i dont use the back camera for anything i dont mind
anyway hope this helps out another 10.1 like me that has been frustrated with no top of the line model available.

yeah i looked at one of those but what i dont like about it:
- the kickstand - this limits position placement where the Kensington allows from straight up with keyboard in case to almost flat and stays in any position between them
- the full edge holster - i like to see the tablet with minimum corners or preferably which only comes with ones made specifically for the tablet that it snaps into place with almost no edge
- the keyboard is large with the big palm area and it does not have all the Android specific keys to launch everything which allows me to rarely touch my screen
i am not saying it isnt nice but it wasnt what i was looking for and i doubt there is an option out there i didnt research. thanks for the info though and maybe its something others might like
Samsung has neglected the Tab Pro 10.1
Its these disappointing products that brought me to just buy a stand alone keyboard option. After almost a year of traveling around the country with my Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, throwing it in my backpack between classes, and carrying it around to camping trips and etc. I've decided that its a little too late to purchase a case or keyboard folio at this point.
Samsung really did their customers wrong by not producing a suitable keyboard/case for the galaxy tab pro 10.1. At the very list they could have worked with 3rd parties to produce these options.
