As the title says, my Poco F1 doesn't charge unless I turn off the phone. If I keep it turned off then it charges, If I turn it off, plug the charger and turn it on while charging then it's ok, the charging process continues. If I unplug the charger in the process then I have to turn it off again. Connecting to the PC via USB can also be done only by turning the phone off.
I tested it with 3 different cables and chargers which otherwise work on different phones.
I tested this on several rom also and tried to relock bootloader and back to stock miui
Also if somehow my device charge while turn on current flow is between 1000-1500mA no fast charging
I'm thinking this issue is software sided since I can charge it while it's turned off. Did anybody else encounter this issue? And ideas on how to solve this problem?

I have a really weird problem with my phone for several months now. I use Zenfone 5, and my warranty is probably void already, but I could not use it anyhow (it is in a different country). I tried contacting the official support, but they just said to send it in for a check up, which I could not at the time, and cannot now either.
The problem started when I plugged in my phone in my car using third party car charger. It worked with other phones with no problems, and the output should be OK. When I plugged it in, the light on the charger went off, and the phone turned itself off without any notification. I tried to power the phone on with no success. It just vibrated, and remained off. Later I disassembled the charger and found out that the safety fuse has melted.
I went to my house and plugged the phone in, and it turned on. But the problem was, and remained to this day, that the phone thinks it is charging even when it is not plugged in. The phone charges normally, and battery life is ok, the phone normally goes into deep sleep mode.
The phone won't power up without charger, and the USB OTG obviously doesn't work. But there are some curious things about this problem.
When I took my phone apart and disconnected the battery for 30 minutes (it is non-removable), after I connected it back, the phone turned itself on (without the charger), until I tried to charge it, then it went back to only powering on while on charger. The constant charging thing, nevertheless, remained all the time.
Sometimes when I plug in the cheap USB OTG converter, the phone stops charging notification. When I unplug it, it goes back to charging.
I have no clue what could be the problem, and which part (the usb board or the battery) could be faulty.
I also tried hard reset a few times, with no success.

Is there any way to change kernel so it doesn't register charging if there is no current flowing to the phone?

Im having problem with charging My xperia z2
Recently I tried using magnetic charger for first time but it wasn't charging at all and phone started getting more heat so I removed it and got back to USB normal charging but now its not working as usual... when I connect usb charger phone showing charging symbol and red light on but its not charging at all, turned off phone and tried charging while phone off still same ..getting red light on and charging bar in the middle of screen and phone stuck on same percentage and goes down slowly even it keeps screen on charging bar after I unplug the charger !?!
I tried hard reset using power button and vol+ afew times some of the tries worked and phone charged normally but after i plug the usb charger again problem gets back ... so i keep resetting phone many times till i get lucky and charge normally
Also tried factory reset and flashing new stock ... still same
I don't know but i have feel that magnetic port causing problems for battery even i didn't use magnetic charger again
and i read somewhere it might be possible to disable magnetic port?
any idea?
help would be appreciated

When you connected the magnetic charger first time, have you connected it in the correct way? If it is connected upside down, it ll cause serious issues..
LikeTh3DON said, you probably connected your magnetic charger in the wrong side. I've done the same with my D6503, and I have the same issue. I already looked to change the battery, nothing change, it's a chip on the motherboard I think.

If you can, use sony's usb cable and charger, or a usb port on your laptop, don't know if it's related, but my phone charge easier with those. If it's the same issue than mine, your phone will charge to 85-90% and the screen will constantly goes on. When it happen unplug your phone or it will heat a lot without charging.
Same thing accidently done with me.now phone dsnt charging with megnatic cable(charging on and off regularly) nd with USB its have same problem when battery % reaches above 90.
Please give me solution..
Is that repair is available for this issue?

Hey,
I haven't necessarily got a solution for your problem but thought I can offer you my opinion. I've used solely the magnetic charger for nearly a year as my USB port has clean snapped off from my logic board. The whole time I've not had an issue, the only time the device heats is during intensive games or/whilst charging.
I know that people have had issues with the magnetic charging port in the past, it's a relatively easy fix, however, will involve opening the device and stripping out a lot of the parts to get to the ribbon.... up to you what you want to do.
Guess I should ask the obvious, have you tried different cabled/ chargers etc?? the fault could potentially lie with the cables if they've been damaged/frayed.

Since Ive had it, as long as I remember My Z2 wouldnt properly charge via usb, common but that it wont charge over 85 percent, after that its just sort of "twitching", the charging light keeps blinking like it keeps getting disconnected, regardless of cable/charger. It would still connect OK to PC while constantly blinking, without disconnects. Latest stock rom. Also, Offline charging never worked, it would always boot when plugged in while powered off.
SO, I used a magnetic charger, and that worked fine, no blinking, 100%, until i believe the cable broke. So I went and thought I will try a custom Rom, seems like a software Issue maybe.
Now, on Resurrection Remix, even at low charge, it keeps blinking like crazy, like it keeps getting plugged in, screen wakes all the time, and so it loses charge while plugged in. Tried the QC 2 fast charging kernel mod, but no change. It just keeps alternating between charging and charging slowly, constantly waking the device.
Right now, the only way to add charge is to offline charge, powered off plugged in via usb it works fine
Using the original charger and cable that came with the phone, but its the same with others too. Anybody have a solution?
Charger is getting connected and disconnected continously for my oneplus 6. Am using the stock Dashcharger. This doesn't seem to be a loose contact problem as this is happening every 5 second without actual charging even when phone is put on the table untouched. First it shows charging, then shows rapidly charging and then again gets disconnected. The loop is continuing endlessly. It is working with other chargers and also with same usb cable and different charger. Tried airplane mode and switched off mode while charging. Nothing seems to work. Any idea anyone?
Does anyone else have this issue on LS998/US998? When I plug my phone into a fast charging port, it appears to go into some type of deep sleep. When I unplug it while its screen is turned off it won't turn back on.
I found a solution to this by plugging it back into the fast charging port, then unlock it while plugged in. But, it has been a scary experience in the past because I wasn't sure if my phone would ever turn back on. Does anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it?
